- Charles| 3 repliesAlright, I've had enough of these scammers and I'll contribute in anyway possible to take them down.
First and foremost, if you are receiving calls from some company in regards to a 2 year subscription, renewing the subscription, or saying that you ordered their advertising services that you have no memory of, you did not, no matter what they say or whatever sort of tactic they try to throw at you! You are completely innocent and owe them nothing! Absolutely nothing!
Here's what they're doing: They're calling small businesses throughout Canada about their advertising on google. Chances are, we're all on google as thats probably how most people find you. They've posed as being from google adwords in the past which again, we've probably all used. They'll say you need to complete your 2 year subscription, or sign up again, or pay the dues owed usually around $600. They'll send you a bogus invoice(email and/or snail mail) and try to convince you that you've signed up and that the works already been done and that you'll receive updates from google analytics to show you the progress.
So here's the breakdown of the scam: They're probably registered as a business, but the first sign of the fraud is the terribly generic, un-creative name, it's hard to trace as the terms they use are widely used by other companies which is the opposite of what any legit company would want, you want people to be able to find you and remember a unique name!! They'll have a website with contact info and all that but this is where they work their magic...they make a profile of your business on their website, they make a blog which is just something they pulled from your website as part of your profile. They then proceed to post about your company on their facebook, twitter and google plus, all with links to the profile they've made for you on their website, which will have links to your website and contact information(which all sounds good). But why would someone visit THEIR website to get details on your business? Noones ever hear of them!!
The google analyitics updates that are being sent to you are based on the traffic to your profile listing on their website, NOT YOUR WEBSITE...the slimey part is, they can use bots or even their own 'employees' to manipulate traffic to your profile on their website which is all fake and not at all organic in anyway but makes it seem as if their services are actually working for you. In this way, I guess technically they've "done the work" but to absolutely no value to you. Everything that they've done could take 5 minutes, if that! But they can manipulate that and you into thinking this is something that is working for you.
They're very good at making it look legitimate but the only thing they'll try to pin you with is a recorded message stating you ordered their services(you didn't). Thats it! Chances are you have no documentation or invoice to say that ordered anything, even if they do send you an invoice, it's fake and is simply part of the manipulation!
Here's how the call goes: They'll tell you that this portion of the message is being recorded and then ask you state your name(and sometimes spell it) they'll then ask if you are authorized to make purchases for the business and if you are, you'll most likely state "yes" (all honest, harmless information) they'll then say something like "thank-you for your order and we'll get the information to you shortly"(something along these lines). It's nothing but manipulation!
They probably won't ask you pay anything during that call, simply because you don't know you've supposedly "ordered something" it usually ends there and then they create your "profile" and post a link to said profile on their dead facebook pages etc. Once that "work" is done, they'll call you and demand payment and if you refuse, as you should due to never actually ordered this, they'll threaten collection agencies(which is actually them) or "legal action". Yes, how dare you not pay a bill for something you never ordered!!!
As hard as it is, don't fall for their persistence or constant badgering. report them to any anti-fraud website(BBB, etc).
If you are called by: 1-855-432-5593, 1-514-940-1120, 1-866-358-3003 these numbers are believed to all be linked to the same scam, they're also all tied to vague business names like: Local keyword directory, Canadian media pages, Canadian business pages online. Take any of the 3 numbers above and google them, you'll find out that MANY people have been sucked into their lies!!!
Fear not, they've got nothing on you even if they claim they do. You have every right to tell them off and report them regardsless how deep the manipulation goes!- Caller: business directory
- Ryan replies to CharlesDont worry Charles there is absolutely nothing they can do to you or harm your credit in any way aside from their annoying calls ignore the invoice tell them you are recording the call and see how fast they disappear
- DavidI received a call from these people again this year. They called last year and said they were some other people, maybe canpages. Anyway, they said I had a subscription with them the year before and it was for two years and time to renew. My office said not to pay as they were not legit. Then I got a call from a collection agency threatening my credit so I paid them. Now they called again, I said I want info on them. Then an invoice in the mail for 401.06. My wife just called Gloria Kaitting and informed her that we will be contacting the RCMP about this. Surprise, she offered to tear up the invoice. Not acceptable

- Aarre PeltomaaI agree that these people scammed me.
- I signed up with them several years ago, and paid for a year of service. I think that I only got about 3 calls from potential
customers for my windowcleaning business for the whole year.
- I was past them financially, I believed.
- Several times, after my year was finished, I was called by their salespersons to start service again. I said "no" each time.
- Then one time, when I was tired, and in a hurry, another sales person called me. She asked me "Would you like to get
an invoice for the second half of your order?" I wasn't thinking straight, and I had thought that I still owed them money,
so of course, I want to know what it was. I was surprised by this request, originally thought that I had concluded my
matters with them. I agreed to get the invoice, as I thought that I still owed them outstanding money.
- I later got an invoice for $648.90, and I queried it. I was told that it was a new invoice for a new year of service. I felt
betrayed.
- Why did the sales person...
-not tell me that this is a new invoice for a whole new year of service?
-suggest that this is a lingering leftover of an old bill by saying "second half of your order" ?
-not explain to me what a "second half of an order" is?
-not tell me that the first and only order had been totally consummated and concluded in time duration and bill paid in
full ?
- How could I have two halves of an order ????? Does that mean that the order is two years long, and that it is paid
in two parts ?
- I was told by Helen of the Accounts Receivable section that my first invoice had been paid in full, so how could I have a
a second part, if there was only one part to start with ?
- I feel tricked and betrayed, and if I had known that I would be paying for another full year, I would have said no from the
beginning.
- I am not going to pay the bill, and will officially report this scam. I am considering taking legal action. I am going to let
the two credit reporting services, Trans Union, and Equifax know about this also, as well as to any credit collectors that
may be unfortunate/stupid enough to buy out my 'account' from CMPages.

- Mark Johansson| 2 repliesI just received a call from Credit Dipute resolution http://cdr.solutions/ and they say that they reviewed the tape and I must now pay a %50 of a 2 year old invoice that I had previously told them I would not pay. The lady said she was reviewing complaints and based on her findings I was in the wrong and I must comply and pay the company not her. I had originally agreed on the phone to a subscription thinking it was for online advertising, but after I couldn't find my webpage and I received a cd in the mail I called to cancel within 30 days as is allowed by law. the guy on the phone said it was only for services and products and because I already had the cd I could not. The lady at CDR said that I did not cancel within 30 days and either way I still have to pay %50 of the fees. She said this was my last chance or they would send this to collections. I do not want this affecting my credit, any one else have this issue?

- Dave replies to Mark JohanssonThis company does not even exist. More scammers. Do not pay them.
- Jane| 1 replyHi
I'm wondering if anyone has actually noticed their credit rating drop because of not paying CM Pages?
We have received a "final chance" to pay them before they send us to collections. I have contacted the Anti-fraud agency (who had not heard of them), the BBB (who would not allow a review of them because they're located in Quebec), the RCMP (who only directed me to the local police who, in turn, told me it was our problem for allowing ourselves to be scammed), and some other Quebec department who was not helpful either.
I have been told all we can do is wait until they take us to collections and see if our credit rating drops. If so, we have to pay them. If not, it's a scam.
I would love to find that out before our credit rating drops.- Caller: CM Pages

- Samantha replies to Janeyour credit rating will not drop. They are trying to scare you. Do not pay them, if you mention that you contacted the RCMP to them, they will drop the harassment. If you pay, they will only get you to pay more incoices on their many companies. IT DOES NOT STOP.
- Jay replies to Mark JohanssonResearch the "collections company" and make sure it is real. More than likely it is another scam by the same people trying to scam you in the first place.
- BobspilotcarThey keep calling out of Quebec. Say I have a contract. I am in BC. I have never advertised with them. Her name is Rose. I am planning to report them to BBB as well. Be careful. They constantly harass me.

- ruddiger| 2 repliesThey tried this scam on me in 2012. Never paid, ignored their calls because I don't entertain known scammers. Nothing ever came of it, I certainly wasn't paying for a service that I did not agree to.
Anyways, here we are half way through 2015 and I get a call from Canada credit services out of Quebec. Originally I didn't answer the call and "Tina? Gina?" (Couldn't understand her) left a message for me to call with a file #. Although the first 10 seconds of the message was her coughing and sounding like she needs another smoke not sounding like a professional at all, I decided to call her back. It was a pretty short conversation because she was basically saying that she "reviewed the tapes" and I clearly knew what I was ordering and that I need to pay, but everything she said, I told her was false... but she said otherwise. Of course, I'm not allowed to hear the tapes, but even if I could I'm sure they've been doctored.
She abruptly hung up on me because I kept countering what she was stating and I guess that's how professional collection companies respond when people talk back to them.
Oh well, I'm sure they'll send me a bill in the mail I will ignore, but I'm reaching the point where I think a class action law suit should be formulated. Not sure how to go about it, but if there's enough interest from us, the scamees, I would certainly be on board.
They might just push me to the point that they wish they didn't. Anyone interested in filing a class action law suit, I think we should compile a database of companies that they tried scamming because with strength in numbers we can put these [***] behind bars and/or recover the money they stole.
Reply to this post if you're pissed enough to take legal action. - Unwanted Calls replies to ruddigerYeah. I am very mad. It's all the FCC's fault and Obama's fault too. Lets hope Donald Trump makes it into the White House this time and stops all this crap. I am tired of being stepped on in my own country and living in fear all the time. Please vote for Donald Trump!!!!!!!!!!! They will be sued eventually. The FCC has to wake up and tell them to stop this. They are breaking the laws. I hope Obama runs into a tree. I'm tired of his crap.
