- William replies to DougWhat national emergency are you talking about?
An emergency on the Atlantic coast is unlikely to affect cell service in California.
Tornadoes and hurricanes tear out telephone poles, digging companies cut underground fiber optic lines, earthquakes damage the exchange buildings. Landlines are not immune to being disabled.
"Use your landline phone #. If you don';t have one ... shame shame on you..."
You are smug. People who get their telephone service from cable companies like Time Warner, Comcast, Grande Communication, don't have landlines that come from a central office. Their telephone is an audio conversion from part of the digital data stream that comes into their cable modem.
For several years (2005 to 2014) my AT&T "landline" came from a large cabinet a half a block from my house. If the AC power to my neighborhood - and that cabinet - was cut off, eventually the battery backup in that cabinet would no longer be able to power it and I would lose my landline.
I changed over to UVerse in 2014 - now my "landline" comes to a special modem that separates my audio phone from the digital data stream. If I lose power to my house, eventually the battery backup for that modem quits and I have no landline. And if there is a neighborhood power failure eventually the battery in the the cabinet that supplies my U-Verse will die and my U-Verse will stop and so will my phone service. - SaI got a severall calls from this number. It appears no matter what yuou order on line they will call & harass you. I called &^ they are to remove our number from the call list, we will see.

- NCVA replies to PammysueIn this day and age how do you plan to order online without using a card? You want me to use a pre-paid card? I had $475. stolen off a $500. card BEFORE I called in to activate it. At least my
credit card company doesn't hold me responsible for fraudulent charges. - John lingerNever answered the call

- Mr. EdLet me tell ya just how to deal with these scammers, get your self a portable air horn, when you answer and they talk back to ya, explain that if they call you again they will not like the end results, tell them to stop calling then blast the phone with the air horn. probibly wont call again, but if they do you still got plenty more blasts in the can, then just sit back and giggle your little ass off, it always works for me!

- MadisonI bought some Geniux pills yesterday, and I got a call from this number saying that my package is on its way and I also will be receiving 100 dollars worth of gas vouchers. They asked me to verify my card number and I did... then they asked me two more times, that's when I realized it was a scam. I buy stuff online all the time and never had anyone do that. I looked at my bank statement and someone from first choice charged 45 after that phone call.

- SMM| 1 replyCall on 9/25/2015 at 10 a.m.. Called in violation of Do Not Call -- but they got names/Number from online order of "grippeez." so they will argue theyu were making courtesy call" -- everyone make a complaint to the FCC and Commerce Dept., online (as linked below):
https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1
This call today Sept. 25, 2015, was from a company in FLORIDA -- probably had my number sold as I made an order -- AMAZON NEVER DOES THIS SO THIS COMPANY IS A SCUMBAG COMPANY AND BREAKING THE LAW. The order I made was :
From https://www.buygripeez.com/" 19321 E US Hwy, 19CY #200, Clearwater, FL 33764. PHONE 866-434-6600. CALL THEM AND COMPLAIN, THEN MAKE A COMPLAINT AS NOTED ABOVE -- IF ENOUGH PEOPLE DO IT THEY WILL STOP BREAKING THE LAW AS THE FINES WILL BE MORE THAN THEY ARE MAKING SO TAKE 5 MINUTES AND COMPLAINT TO THE FTC. THEN MAKE A COMPLAINT TO YOUR STATE'S ATTORNEY GENERAL CONSUMER PROTECTION DEPT. -- Making it more costly to break the law by calling you is the way to stop them.
They are using people who made orders to buy something online ***(CALLED SELLING YOUR INFORMATION )** to try to now sell you "Budget Savers" for even more money (but they say only one dollar ------ IT IS A SCAM -----given the ordering from webpage for "https://www.buygripeez.com/"
they are abusing the DO NOT CALL LAW (as I ordered from another company, not them, but did NOT EVER, EVER, give them permission to call or to make a "courtesy call").
They, gripeez on thier web pages, try to sell 15 more products before you get to the order page (makes Amzon look great as they just take you order and get it to you) . When one orders "gripeez" from a TV Ad (*Grippees"), or online, but you had to say NO to 15 different junk products after you make the order-
NOW gripeez is abusing their order, and now they are scamming one to try to sell you "Budget Savers" for $1 which they will inevitably charge more on your credit card and scam one --
MAKE SURE YOU ALWAYS ORDER WITH ***CREDIT CARD** never,, ever, EVER, use a Debit Card as they will suck out all your money (and if you have to get a secured credit card do so as the laws are different for credit card vs. debit card....) and they reversals from credit card fraud will cost them...if your product is not perfect, then send it back, if you do not want it REFUSE IT AT THE DOOR WHEN TRYING TO DELIVER.- Caller: "Gripeez" (sticky material, hang wall pictures, phone mounting)

- Caller: (866) 379-2003
- VickiBased on other reports here, this is likely from something I ordered yesterday from TV, as these calls started today, 4 from this number so far.
Normally when I order something advertised as "Free" there is a S&H charge. I keep a few $10 & $15 Visa gift cards around for these free things. The one yesterday had only $9.54 left on it for the $7.95 charge. I wish them luck trying to charge anything else on it!
Blocking the number on my cell.- Caller: UNK
