- kineticGot two calls from them today. The second one I answered, they asked for someone who was not me, I said so, they hung up.
I called the number back and got the same message as described as above. Pressed 2 to not be called back. We'll see. - GryffynJust got a call from these guys. They had my name, address, phone number (obviously) and the last 4 digits of the credit card I used to make a purchase with one of their "partners".
They offered me $40 gas vouchers (free) and discounts at a bunch of different restaurants, etc.
What got me was the $1 billed to my credit card for the trial account and them asking me if that was ok, but the way it was phrased was "Is it ok to send you this packet of information?" but it was a half breath behind "We're going to charge you $1 and you can cancel anytime".
I never said "yes" except to confirm my address, and I told them I wasn't interested in any offers that I had to cancel. They started telling me how great a program it was and how I wasn't going to want to cancel it. I said "I'm not interested in programs I have to remember to cancel". Again, how great the program was. "I'm not interested in programs like this... can I cancel right now while I'm on the phone with you?" :)
Again, she started trying to sell me on the program, but mid-sentence she stopped and said "Thank you, have a good day." and hung up. I think I hear someone yell in the background right before it, so maybe a supervisor was listening and said "MOVE ON!" hah
I use a couple different credit cards for different purposes. The card they reference had only been used to buy a couple things recently. The most likely candidate was the Iron Gym home exercise thing (yeah, I know.. but it's actually what I was looking for.. a temporary pullup device I don't have to install permanently :).
The only other two charges on that card anywhere near recently was an item from the Blizzard online store (World of Warcraft authenticator security device) and an olde tyme online candy store that seemed to mellow to consort with telemarketers.- Call type: Telemarketer
- srg replies to J| 8 repliesi've been getting calls from this number for weeks..at all hours numerous times a day...never leavs a message..how can i stop this
- davei have been getting calls from these guys too... so annoying!!! I'll try to get on their don't call list... hope it works. It's so outrageous that companies can get away with this harassment... they call me on my personal cell-phone and the ringing is just distracting so I have to turn off the ringer (potentially missing important calls).

- Deborah| 1 replyThis person keeps calling me. I have no idea who it is and I don't plan on picking it up. I wish they would stop calling.
- Gene| 3 repliesThese people called me last night at 8pm. They said something about a free card for $40.00 in gas. They also said something about discount coupons. Then they transferred me to another person for address confirmation. They had my work address and phone number as well as the last 4 digits of my credit card number. (at least). Then the person wanted me to agree to some membership trial and wanted to charge my card $1.00. I refused to agree with that and told them I never agree to anything on the phone. I'm going to check my credit card to make sure they didn't charge me anyway. I think this is a scam to get your entire card number if they don't have it already.

- BOB| 13 repliesGOT THE FREE $40 GAS CALL..WILL BILL ME $1 FOR SOMETHING. I DID NOT AUTHORIZE THE USE OF MY CARD (THAT THEY HAD THE INFO ON) AND HE WOULDN'T SHUT UP LONG ENOUGH FOR ME TO FIND OUT WHERE HE GOT THE INFO. I HUNG UP BUT WILL BE WATCHING MY CREDIT CARD STATEMENT.
- Scott replies to K| 23 repliesI just called The number back and got a very nice lady who said I get $40.00 in gas vouchers and discount book for $1.00 for the first month and if I like the book it is only $19.95 a month there after charged to my credit card last four numbers ####. She also said if I wanted to cancel I get to keep the gas vouchers. what deal right! NO You have to cancel within the thirty days or you get charged $19.95. The scary part is they already had my credit card info. I will have to thank my card provider for this one. I am sure they sold my card info to this company. I told them no thank you It took three tries until she gave up.
- PW replies to BOB| 6 repliesI had the same experience three days ago. The first caller tried to talk me into getting their package for a while; she kept saying that I was on their so called "Preferred Customer List" and how good their program was. I knew they were scam artists but, wanted to find out what kind. She talked so fast and said; now I am transferring you to "Verification" department. I asked her for why, b/c I did not want anything from them. And, I ask her to cancel anything I was getting into. Anyways, another annoying person from the Verification tried the same thing, talking so fast and not very clear about the details. Later, he wanted me to give my birth date information. I insisted not giving away any information. I kept saying that I did not want anything from them, and cancel whatever they were doing. He got angry and said “Have a good one” then hung up on me. Someone has to do something about them or they will be annoying a lot of other people. I thing I know what purchase put me into this scam: Acaida Berry Free Trial Tablets http://www.acaiberryx.com/weightloss.php

- wormzcalled for offer of vouchers on both me and my wifes phone same time from same number. she got a woman, i got a man. i know for a fact which website i ordered from it was " WWW.ARAMARK-UNIFORMS.COM " they are the ONLY ones i gave BOTH phone numbers to and it was yesterday. i listed my wifes as home and mine as cell. so needless to say, aramark has sold information.... scary part is the same place i put my phone number has my credit card info!

- Nettie replies to MitziThe same thing has happened to me. I ordered a free trial of the Acai berry tablets. As soon as I did that my cell phone rang constantly from 8am to 8pm. I just keep telling them they have the wrong number when they say my name. Then they say Oh that's okay, we must have the wrong name but the right number and they try to sell me something. Acai berry also charged me 85.00 twice even though I canceled the next shipment. My stomach feels terrible and I have been really bloated ever since I took the tablets. I think I've learned my lesson about looking for a quick fix and getting a free trail off of the internet.
- Sthese people are a huge scam. Budget Savers offers to sign you up for the 1st month for 1$ and send you "free gas vouchers". What a load of bs. I don't know how they got my Cell # or my Credit Card #. They gave me this number 1-800-475-1942 to cancel after the 1st month. I'd be wary of this number too.

- Arely replies to Scott| 1 replyYeah, the same thing happened to me. If i call the toll free number and ask them to cancel, will they stop charging the credit card account? I am wondering because i don't even know who gave them my card info. I just want them to stop charging!!!
