We are also getting calls from this number. I called the number back, actually got a real person, I asked that our number be taken of there list, she replied that I need to give her my number in order to have it removed. I told her that was  not an option. She than told me that we will continue to get phone calls, have a nice day and she hung up.

Received a voicemail concerning a debt from allied. Ran the phone number through yahoo and found this site. I just had my number changed 3 weeks ago.

they called our home phone yesterday 9AM, left voice mail identified themselves as collection agency. I returned their call within that hour.

Was on-hold less than one minute when someone answered

I said I was returning their call gave them only same home phone number.

They asked me about Josh, I said never heard of Josh, then she spelled out a somewhat differently spelled last name.  I replied by correctly spelling our last name.  I replied again I was not Josh and never heard of him.

She thanked me and she volunteered to remove our number from their calling list.

We have worked very long and hard to manage our bills and are very proud of our credit scores. In my experience, ignoring these types of inquiries is not in anyone's best interest.

I've been receiving phone messages from this number for the last few weeks. Everytime I try to call back to find out who they are looking for I get a recorded message that goes in a loop and eventually ends in silence. I'm unable to pick up as I'm always at work when the messages requesting a call back are left. I wish there was another number to reach them at to verify who they are looking for and get them to stop calling. My number is not unlisted and I've received calls from another collection agency in the past asking for someone I've never heard of and was able to request that my number be removed when that was clarified. My guess is that Allied is looking for that same indivdual who is not me. If anyone knew another number where Allied Interstate could be reached that would be helpful.

They leave recorded messages almost every day.  I call back and get a recording for about 5 minutes and then silence.  I have no idea who they are or what they want.  If it is a scam, what is the point??????  I have no unpaid debts that I'm aware of.  What can be done to stop this???

Every day for the last couple weeks, we've gotten a pre-recorded message at about 8 or 9 in the morning, claiming to be "Allied Interstate, calling about a debt" (but we have no debt).  They ask us to call them back at 866-396-7700.  Today, I finally called that number, figuring maybe they're looking for someone else with my name or my wife's name, and I can finally tell them to leave us the hell alone.

But, it turns out the 866 number doesn't even belong to debt collectors!  Instead, a pre-recorded message told me to call 702-589-9300, where I would be charged $3.79 for a Directory Assistance service operated by "calling10.com".  (Allied Interstate may be scum, but they're not the ones to blame here, unless they're in cahoots with Calling10.)

Apparently these Calling10 scammers are buying or hijacking toll-free numbers and using them to robo-dial people, making you think a collection agency is after you.  Then they try to get you to pay for a $4 directory assistance call.  File a complaint with the FCC!

They keep calling me every day as I see their number on my caller I.D.  I refuse to answer.  It is getting very annoying!

This number calls my house every day.  It is a computer generated call, because everytime I answer there's no one there.  As far as I'm concerned this is harrassment.

This number has been calling my work-issued cell phone almost daily for the last few weeks, never leaving a voice mail.  After seeing another call from them this morning, I googled the number and found this thread.  Based on what some of you have said, I called the number back, and it was immediately answered by an actual person, not a recording.  I explained to her what was going on and that they were calling a business number.  She asked if my name was Marlon, I said no, and she said she would remove my number from their calling list.  Before hanging up, I asked if I was speaking with Allied Interstate, and she said yes.

While I find this method to be completely scummy, I don't see any sign of a scam going on here.

I just recently purchased a pay-as-you-go cell phone, and have only given my number out to a few family and friends. Five days after activating the phone, I receive a phone call. I answer to hear an automated message from Allied Interstate, asking to return the call.

I have no desire to spend even one daytime minute to respond to and attempt to remove myself from their call list.

This caller calls me every morning every day for the last 3 weeks. Told them I am not the person they asked for. Would not even tell me who he was.

These guys keep calling & they don't want anything. They just hang up when I pick up the phone. I wish there was some way to make them stop calling!!!

Got a recorded message on my voicemail about this company calling in regards to a debt.  The phone number they are calling is listed under my name and I know who I owe and everthing is current.  I have been getting several calls looking for a Josh or Nathan, neither of which live here so I will not be answering any of their calls.  I could care less if they continue to call.

they do not answer when called back. they keep calling when i say don't.  they are being reported to my states attorney's office.

Calls frequently, recorded message in English and French..then disconnect.

They call every morning at 8:15-8:30, never leave a message, and hang up if I answer.

Allied has been calling me for some time.  Today I filed a complaint witht he FCC online.  You can file a complaint with the FCC on numbers like this. It does make a difference.
