Voice mail requesting call back at this number. When I returned their call, cyclic message that asks that I hold. I waited for 5 minutes then gave up. Annoying!

Got a computer generated voicemail requesting call back at this number regarding a debt - the number apparently belongs to Allied Interstate, a collection agency.  From what I found on the internet, these guys are the scum of the earth.  I called them back to find out what it was all about, but they didn't have my phone number in their system, nor my address, name etc. Under my wife's last name, they had a Marie (instead of Mary)in our town, so their best guess was that they were trying to contact her.  They promised to remove our number from their files (wait a minute, I thought we weren't in there system...).  We'll see.

They called me three times, 10 minutes apart while I was in med school lecture.  Thank God I had my phone off, but annoying!!  When I tried to call them back I had to listen to an annoying message asking me to hold.  Who calls, doesn't leave a message, and then doesn't leave the name of their company on their recording?  Annoying!

this number keeps calling me , when I answer a recording tells me to hold for an important call then I hold (mostly just to tell them to remove me) then it hangs up...but dont worry they call back 2-3 times daily!!!

message stating that this call is about a debt(FOTI) message; returned call but no answer just recording saying please hold.

I have had several computer generated calls on my cell phone from Allied concerning a debt problem.  When I call the number provided I get a recording "Thank you for returning our call.  All lines are currently busy.  As your call is important to us please hold for the next available operator."  The message just keeps repeating.

I do not have any debt.

These people have been calling my cell phone for a while. I finally call back and a woman picked up and said this call was recorded. I don't know what the issue is since no one has my number so I hung up and searched the number on the web.

I keep getting calls from 866-396-7770 and they wont stop.

they have been calling my cell for 5 years now. The peoson that had my cell before must owe someone a ton of money.  I have asked to be taken off their list everytime, and even threatened to file a harassment case against them (i wouldnt have the slightest idea how).

I have been getting dozens of calls on my fax line from 866-396-7770 in the past 24 hours.  I’ve tried calling them to request them to cease & desist to no avail as no person ever answers their phones.  I called my phone company (AT&T) who suggested I sign up for their “Privacy Director” service.  This STOPS the auto-dialers in their tracks!  They MUST identify themselves prior to the call coming to me.  I LOVE THIS!  My fax line has been ringing off the hook since 8 PM last night & the line is now QUIET!  If you are getting calls from these scum-bags on your land line, contact your phone company to ask if they have a similar service.  If you are getting calls on your cell phone, call your cellular provider to see if they have some sort of number blocking as well.  This might not work for everyone, but it sure has helped me.

Good job CPC but why do consumers have to pay to stop these harassing calls. Unwanted faxes and cell phone calls are both illegal. Stop them by paying extra fees with our phone company is ok but lets sue them and put them outta business. BY law no one can call spam your fax number or your cell number. Remember sue em and screw em!!! See naca.net for attys who will take these cases in your area. You must also be aware of these negative tactics. That is why I recommend that you you investigate who is callin you. Without a true advice of who is calling how can you respond apppropiately? Thats why I recommend sending a cease and desist letter with a demand for proof. Most of these jerks will not respond and you can sue if it goes beyond that. You need proof that the CA called you and that you objected. Do it and you will win, Do it not and you will face more of the same.

I've had several calls from 866-396-7770 in the last few weeks.  When I answer they thank me for holding for this important call and then the rest of the message, whatever it is, is in a foreign language - Spanish, I believe.

These people have called my cell phone repeated for 2 months now.  I have had the number for 12 years and am having to change my number due to them.  They allege a debt that does not exist and then continually harass and call and hang up if you call them.  I called the alleged creditor and they have no record of my ever having done business with them.  These people are unscrupulous and violate the FDCPA with every move they make.  They refuse to llsten and just hang up.

Several calls from this number for bill collection. They have the wrong number, but refuse to update their infomation.

We started receiving calls from 866 396-7770 last week and are 100% certain we do not have any debts.  That was the first clue the calls are fraudulent. If I return the call and provide any information they request, I would be asking for more trouble. I will not respond and will move to block the calls.

Called repeatedly, saying it was regarding a debt.  Got no response when we returned the call.

SAME TRASH- CPU GENERATED CALL- THEY LOOKING FOR SOMEONE ELSE SEVERAL CALLS -REPORTED THEM TO DO NOT CALL REGISTRY AND OTHERS

This harrasing call comes through on a non listed, no call number. They ask for people I have never heard of and thne4 indicate they will remove the4 name which they don't Why can't someone intervene such as VErizon  whom we pay for such a ser4vice.

I would answer the phone, would be asked to hold, and then there is SILENCE!  I receive several of these calls a day.  I refuse to call for fear of a scam.  Please stop!
