I have been getting harrassed by these stalkers for weeks now.  My best friend is a police Srgnt. and called them himself.  He gave them his badge number to let them know he was legit and said he would report them to higher authorities for harrassment.  When you get a call, report it to this sight again so I can show it to my friend. I want to squash these people!

They've been calling me for a few days now too.  They always hang up when you answer, even if it's right away.  Yesterday I actually answered and talked to someone.  It's some sweepstakes.  They said I had one a $1,000 shopping spree and they were going to send the check to my house to shop for things online (for only a SMALL shipping and handling fee).  I didn't have to purchase anything to get this shopping spree ... or so they said.  They then asked me which credit card company provided me with the "best service".  I said Visa, because both my credit cards are Visas.  When I asked him why I was getting called for this later, he said it was because my credit card company had me in "good standing".  Funny ... then why did he ask me which credit card company I used?  He then says I got three free subscriptions to Fit, Shape, and Vogue magazine.  Then he starts pitching me to buy magazines at a really cheap price.  I told him I was confused and he said he was going to get the manager to talk to me.  I asked him if they were the company that kept calling and hanging up on me and he said no.  I told him that I was told I wouldn't have to buy anything to get the sweepstakes and that I was not interested.  Most salespeople try to keep talking to you until you hang up, but he hung up on me instead ... immediately.  I thought that would be the end of it.

... but no.  They've called me twice today.  Hung up both times.  I'm getting pretty sick of this, considering this is my cellphone and I'm at work.

If anyone knows how to get rid of them, please let me know!  I think it had something to do with some online survey I took when I was bored Sunday.  In which case, NOBODY DO THOSE SURVEYS OFFERED ON THE "OWN YOUR FRIENDS" APP ON MYSPACE!  They offer $OYF bucks, but it is not worth getting harrassed at all hours of the day.

They called me and I just got a new phone, a cell phone on top of it, t-mobile. I'm tired of this, they've only called twice but if they want to do business, they've decided to do it wrong, and try with the wrong person. ATTN UNKNOWN CALLER: STOP CALLING MY PHONE OR I WILL BE FORCED TO REPORT YOU TO SEVERAL BUREAUS: The Federal Citizen Information Center (FCIC) for calling me and several others listed in the national do not call registry, WHICH IS ILLEGAL.

    AND

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for making phone calls selling products that do not exist.

Unless you are making a legit claim to these people I'm pretty sure they have the same complaints, and soliciting a minor? Trying to sell something to me, a 17 yo? Wow bravo you're tough. I bet its young people and old timers you're targeting huh you cheap [***]. Ladies and gentlemen the winner of the 25000 giveaway is the company owner and his employees congrats to them. Its in the best interest of your company to leave me, and the citizens of the United States alone. The worst thing you can do is make your protector angry.

they called me today and i refused to order and asked them to take me off their list. he called me within the next minute and continued to harass me for not being interested in their advertising. I asked him to take me off their list again. He called me back one minute later and I asked him once again to take me off his list and never call back. He finally stopped because I threatened to call the cops. but he was relentless and had terrible customer service. I am filing a complaint because this company is worth no one's time of day.

I received the same type of call (08/07/08) and the free choice of a ladies or men diamond watch if I was willing to pay $3.99 a week for the next 60 months which is 5 years ($1,037.40).  July the 9th 2009 will be the "drawing date" for the sweepstakes and the "so called" prizes are as follows:
    -$25,000 cash
-2008 Ford Mustang GT Convertible; auto or straight drive your choice
    -42" flat screen TV
-trip for 2 to Southern Africa and Australia
    -DVD Dream Home Theater System...

... and the "list of prizes" goes on!

Please reply to this message if you ever read it Kennedy.  Summit Readers Service also told me their "address" upon my request:
    Summit Readers Service
    138 E 12300 S Street
    Draper, UT 884020

I also talked to a "supervisor" Patrick Rivers emp code #844
My cell phone lost connection before I decided whether or not to do this;  luckily for a good reason!!!

Unfortunetly Renie, whenever you give a company your card number and even if you tell the compay to cancel.  The company may still debit from that account.  Save yourself the trouble and go hot charge your bank card and get a new one reissued to you!!!  Good Luck!!!  This may also vary from state to state;  I live in NC.

I also got a call from the same company who willingly offered there address in draper Utah (Summit Reader services). She began on congratulating me about being entered to win 25000 then told me I would recieve a diamond watch, a 2008 mustang and a trip to australia. They were very pushy and Im so glad for once in my life I was not gulliable and did not give them any information now that I read this! I kept asking how they got all my info- my address and all of that- they didnt have a straight answer? I also asked if I could think about it and call back - the supervisor said no and also said he would not take the time to call me back once I looked into this a bit further- which at that point i knew it was not worth my time. who do they think they are- Iam a young single mother that is struggling with money to get by and raise my 6 month old daughter and they are trying to f*cking scam me? Thats FU*KED UP. That company is going to hell.

I also received several calls from Summit Reader Services, 138 E. 12300 South Street C107 Draper, Utah 84020. I spoke first with a man I could not understand, and then with Ryan, his supervisor, who told me that our call was being recorded and that he would lose his job if I didn't help him, and that he was engaged. (Poor him. Get a real job). I've never had to face cell phone telemarketing before, but I guess they got my number. They wanted me to get a prescription for four magazines: Rolling Stone, Cosmopolitan, Guitar World, and some other girly mag. They wanted to charge me for "only one" of these magazines, for a mere $3.99 per week for the next 6? or 60? months. They wanted to send me a ladies (or men's) diamond watch and the catch was the winning of a HUGE pile of money or a safari...as I said, the guy was hard to understand. Unfortunately I gave them my birthday and that I was single and that I had little money currently but I did not give them my address (they didn't ask for it...yet...do they have it somehow?) or my actual bank account number. I was arguing with Ryan for forever about giving him my number and finally I hung up. When he called back, I did not answer. Now I assume that some places I just interviewed at (two quasi-illegitimate marketing companies that actually lied to me before my interview...I wouldn't work at them in a million years) sold my cell phone number to other [***] marketing companies. DON'T GIVE AWAY YOUR CELL PHONE NUMBER TO POTENTIAL EMPLOYERS AND DON'T GIVE AWAY YOUR BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER WHATEVER YOU DO.

Well I work with Summit Reader Services. It's funny how you people are screaming out scam and you didn't even finnish the order. How would you know it's a scam if you never went through with it. I'm not saying go through with it and find out, but you cant sit here and scream scam if you don't know.

Anyone who has ordered there magazines from us has been extremely happy with the service. Basically because we carry over 100 different magazine titles and you can switch them around anytime you like, without it ever effecting your cost.

And I can also explain why that person said it came up to 69 dollars. It's 3.99 a week for 60 months. If you say yes to that, then you know your buying something. 3.99 a week comes up to 17.27 a month. Instead of paying that ammount every month for 60 months, you pay 69.16 for 15 months and get 45 months without paying. We also offer 49.40 for 21 months and 49.90 for 26 months.

And as far as the credit card goes, the only reason that person had a 1 dollar charge, was because once given the card number with pre authorize it for 1 dollar to see if its a good card. We give the dollar back about 20mins later.

You can call it a bad deal or not worth it or whatever, but it's not a scam. You get your freakin watch, you get all the magazines you want. You get exactly what we tell you on the phone, or your not obligated to continue. We don't steal money of your card, we tell you what were going to take, if you dont agree, then we dont take it.

Were a very succesfull company and have been doing this for quite some time now, so coming on the internet and complaining about us scamming you seems like a waste of time because we bought your phone numbers, and have the right to call them a certain number of times.

But I'm glad I found this, should be something good to laugh at with everyone at work tomorrow.

I have been receiving calls from this number for the past few months. Each time they are telling me that I am being given free subscriptions to various magazines. The first man who called me hung up on me when I said I didn't want to pay for anything. The second guy who called me was mad that I didn't want anything from him. I just hung up on the guy today. I'm not really sure how they have gotten a hold of my number.
