I am currently trying to get in touch with this company and make them take the 2 charges off and refund but keep getting busy signal etc... What a scam--doesn't the better business bureau do anything about these scam artists??

I'm so glad I started looking for info on the company since it's been 3 weeks and I haven't received anything in the mail.  It's horrible what has happened.  I called my credit card company today and it doesn't appear that I was charged yet...I placed my order on 12/16.  Needless to say, I reported the internet scam and my bank cancelled my credit card.  Hopefully this will prevent many of the headaches you all experienced.  Thanks to all of you for posting about this....you saved me a lot of trouble.

Called the #, got some foreign country call center that told me I failed to read the fine print that I had 10 days to cancel my "account" with them from placing my order.  I didn't even receive it for a week.  They said they can't refund because I didn't read the fine print.  My bank is investigating for fraud but I won't order anything else on the internet.

This is definitely scam.We ordered a 3 month supple of the Acai Berry, and a "Free Trial" of the Colon Cure. We received a confirmation e-mail for the Berry, but nothing for the Colon Cure. When we got the trial bottle in the mail, there is a fine print notice stating that we will be charged $89.31 for a 31 day supply and every month thereafter. Also, we will be charged $8.51 a month for something called Price Limbo, plus $29.95 a month for something called Fit Factory monthly nutritional newsletter! The notice said I could also cancel anytime by calling 877-350-8480, which I did. They claimed they could not find my account, referred me to 866-407-1022. They at first said they could not find my account - then stated they were upgrading their "system" and asked me to call back. Will try that later.

Below is my ColonXR experience.  I would encourage anyone out there to dispute the charge with your credit card company as you have more recourse that way as opposed to going through your bank (hopefully you didn't use your debit card).

I had a problem with ColonXR too.  After trying on Friday and being on hold for 24 minutes without ever getting through, today I was able to get through to someone at 888.820.2656 who gave me a web site of SFLnutrition.com.  I went out there and wrote a summary of the problem and was given a ticket code and a message that indicated I'd hear back in one business day.  I'll let you know what happens, but when I did the live chat last week, I was told I'd only get a 70% refund which is unacceptable.  I was given a return authorization number that is required to be on the package you return to their shipping department.

My message to ColonXR on Monday:  "Greetings.  I went online in response to a risk-free trial offer for Colon XR for only $5.95 shipping.  In the middle of my attempt to order, my Internet service went down, so I wasn't even certain I had placed the order, but I had put in my master card number and my contact info.  It wasn't until I saw the $5.95 charge on my master card statement that I knew the order had gone through.  THEN I received a second bottle in the mail along with an order summary totaling $84.79.  My card was actually charged more than that--$85.47--and I never placed this order.  The so-called order number is 1006783 dated 12/29/2008.  Last week I obtained an RMA and sent back the second package, but the person on the live chat at the second-party company indicated I would only receive a 70% refund.  I never order this product.  I never received or accepted any terms and conditions to indicate I would receive a second shipment.  I used the risk-free trial for two weeks and stopped after noticing it was sending my blood pressure through the roof (147/103!) I certainly would never have ordered a second shipment of this item.  As I've stated, I wasn't certain I'd even ordered the first, but I told myself that for $5.95, I had nothing to lose! Now I'm being told I will lose more than twenty bucks plus the shipping on a bottle I never requested or authorized.  I should certainly receive a full refund for the unauthorized shipment. I hope you can resolve this matter in the only satisfactory way so that I do not have to make a dispute through my credit card company or contact the Boca Raton Better Business Bureau.  Charging a 30% restocking fee for a product that was never ordered is criminal.  I anxiously await your response.  Thank you very much."

    Good luck everyone.

Same thing happened to me. I ordered the free trial of Acai Berry and the Colon Cleanser... I was charged $78.81 (it looks like they always change the amounts to throw people off).  I called the 866-407-1022 number and was told that they couldn't find my name in the system.  I asked their company name and was told that they could not disclose such information...WHAT?!!!  I then called my bank and told them what happened.  They gave a number to call (The Wellness Research Center 866-964-1011).  Of course I called and was told that I had only paid for the shipping not the bottle.  I said "Hello, that was the promotion...a free trial of the product for only the shipping & handling fee."  I threw a fit and demanded that the $78.81 be refunded and for my "account" whatever account is was that they created for me to be closed immediately.  They said I should be refunded within 10 days and that the account has been closed and gave me confirmation numbers....let's hope for the best.

i have been fighting with these folks for a month... back in november, i followed the link on oprah's website to order the free trial of colon xr which i received within a couple of weeks and was charged shipping. only 10 days later, i was charged again $78.84. by this time, i had become aware of the scam via the internet and was searching for a way to contact the company. i went immediately to my bank who had a phone number [by the way, there are several 800 numbers, all leading to the same place. the one i use is 866-320-0038.] i called the company from my bank and threatened them pretty heavily, so they said they would refund my money, no problem. well, that was december 16 and i have yet to see any such refund. i was hoping not to have to cancel my account due to the sheer hassle, but my bank advised me that canceling is my best option since they believe this company employs hackers who have already obtained other info about me on the internet. SCARY!! my bank said it was okay to pursue the refund to see what happens. the customer service center of this company is located in the phillipines. i have basically called every single day to harass them. often, i have felt i was speaking to the same agent who gave me a different name. they always say the same thing: that my refund is being processed and i must be patient. finally, in the last 2 weeks i have been dealing with "supervisors". they have told me that my case was elevated and that they will call me back tomorrow. but they NEVER call back! 3 days ago, finally, they said that my money was refunded on the 13th of january -- that i should check my bank statement. needless to say, i have received nothing. when i tell them so, they say "your bank is holding the credit". on friday, i called again and told them my bank wants a transaction code for the refund. they said they could not release this information over the phone & would send it to me in an email. i said, "go ahead and send me the email right now; that way you can stay on the line with me to make sure i get it." well, guess what? no email, either! the supervisor kept telling me to refresh my mailbox bcuz she sent it a few times. i received nothing!! the supervisor's name was CARLA PAN, but she also goes by JAMES SMITH or "JAIME". weird, right?? one tactic she uses very often is to pretend that she cannot hear me & then she hangs up on me. but i always call back and threaten the agent to connect me with her immediately. CARLA actually did call me on one occasion since the cust svc rep said he could not transfer me to her; she called from (630) 657-1852. when i tried to contact her again at that number, it belongs to another company called FIRST DATA!! in fact, the lady who answered the phone was pissed off & said she receives numerous calls daily. in other words, they've reprogrammed their caller ID!! my last words with CARLA on friday afternoon were that she would call me back on monday at 3pm. i asked, "and what should i do if you don't call?" she said, "YOU SHOULD DISPUTE THIS CHARGE WITH YOUR BANK." so i said to her, "do you mean you are refusing to refund my money. is that what you're saying?" i said again, "am i to understand that you are refusing to refund me??????" "no ma'am -- what i mean is that it would be unfortunate if you had to eventually dispute these charges. that is what i meant." ...i apologize for the long post, but i want to document everything here. i am curious to know if anyone else has gone this far. also, i have contacted oprah's producers via email several times, asking them to please warn viewers and to STOP ENDORSING this product! as you can see, oprah has said nothing. in closing, the parent company is located at: 127 NW 13th Street, Suite 4, Boca Raton, Florida 33432. i encourage you all to please contact the better business bureau, the department of consumer affairs AND the food & drug administration. how else can we prevent evil-ass scammers like this one which is now charging hundreds of thousands of people! this is big business.

I have been searching the internet tonight for a "fast weight loss plan" seems like every search engine I went to..took me to these two websites. I read all materials and was ready to give my CC when I remembered I had a hold on it. Thank God! After reading your stories I can't believe their website is even still up. I'm very sorry to hear of your frustration but do note you are all helping others from making the same mistakes. Don't think of yourself as naive...how much research is enough..or too much? We all have one thing in common we just want to lose weight! Desperate to lose weight even. This is a very elaborate scam with a very small person behind it. I can't describe how thankful I am that I fell upon this forum. Keep talking, don't give up.

All I can say is the same OMG. I went to the bank this morning and was completely caught off guard when $100 was missing from my account.  Going online I soon discovered I had fallen victim to this Bromalite/Acai Berry scam.  Purchase of a website???? I never heard of such a thing.  I refused to let them get a word in edgewise and demanded my money back.  Funny how they can take it so quickly but it is going to take 10 working days to get it back.  They make their product look so good....and it killed me inside. I am glad I am getting my money back.
