Lies, lies and more lies. A book could be written for the amount of lies these low-lifes scumbags let us. They harass my 70 year old mother everyday. They say if the don't get their money then are going to put a frezee on her checking account as well as mine. Can these people legally get away with this? I never paid them, it has been 3 weeks and my checking account is still open and active. Liar!!!!!

after being told they had wrong number, the man called back 5 times immediately after . lied about his identity and continued to push buttons on thephone as i informed him of each law being broken. they use a disposable cell phone on itnitial call, then hang up. they are a collection agency.

guess you are not a single parent of 3 girls who has just been told that your job will be eliminated in less than 4 weeks, then your mate walks out on you due to the fact and all of the bills and credit cards are in your name?? Doesn't matter that you paid religiously for what....oh at least 6 years now? Now what...stay faithful to the C.C. Company, or put food on the table and a roof over their heads. Duh........ ya know, sometimes bad things do happen to good people! And when it does, we sure don't need slim like you and these "stalkers" harrasing us AND OUR KIDS!! Yes, they have even bad mouthed my 11 year old. What do you have to say for them now?? Get a life!! If you are so perfect... you sure wouldn't be on here!!!

After they hung up on me three times, they did eventually send me a document two days later, and it was my credit report?? This people are stupid. Now they are calling an old boyfriend's family trying to collect on a bill he had 10 years ago?? They must be really desperate. I would hate to have their job!!

wow, what a professional looking scam site this is.  Anyone can create that page with HTML for Dummies.  Very UNprofessional is what it looks like.  Did anyone notice that the Articles page is blank??

Go to the Better Business Bureau and type Marshall and Ziolkowski Ent LLC in NY (one of their alias).  It shows 66 complaints in the last 12 months, 92 since the company was formed in 2005.  Almost all of the complaints were valid as the company did not respond to the BBB.  This is what the BBB had to say about them:

"Based on BBB files, this company has an unsatisfactory record with the BBB due to unanswered complaint(s)."

The page goes on to break down the complaints info resolved/unresolved/unanswered, etc.

I'm ignoring their phone calls and when I get correspondence in the mail I am following the good advice of posters about reporting them, demanding proof of the debt, etc.

WE need more people to file a complaint with th Better Business Bureau for the name Abrahms and Burke.  I just looked them up and only two complaints show, and one is mine.

I have not spoken to them and don't intend to.  I let my caller id handle it.  So far they have only left 1 automated message to call them back. They haven't sent me any correspondence yet.  When they do, I'm sure I will be following your advice and making my own complaint. I'm curious to see if they have a debt that is past the statue of limitations.  I'm curious, but not stupid enough to answer their calls or engage their criminal collectors.

I got home from work today with a message  stating that I needed to contact them regarding a pending lawsuit. I or my legal counsel need to call back immediately regarding an acct for someone I have no clue who they are, I called them back and informed them that I do not know the person and to quit calling My house, they said they would continue to call daily regardless of what I say. Informed them that they were breaking the fair debt laws doing so. Whats funny I work in collections for a top 10 banking institution, and she tried telling Me the laws ..lol

These "low lifes" called me also.The person I spoke to called me a "scum bag." Ask me if all I did was run around and steal gas.He said I owed Exxon for gas charged on one of their cards.I have never had a gas charge card.I have never been spoke to so ugly in my life.I contacted an attorney.He got in touch with them.I sent them a cease and disist letter.My attorney only had to send one letter to them reminding them of Federal Laws against their behavior.I never heard from them again.Everyone needs to start doing this.There are strong laws to prevent debt collectors from this type of talk.You can actually take them to Federal Court for harassment and WIN.Trust me no company wants to be taken to Federal Court.EVERYONE PLEASE START TAKING ACTION TO STOP THESE LOW LIFES.

these people called first threatening  to get me arrested  for fraud.they were very threatening.i asked for proof .they said it doesnt  matter .i just owed the money. they scared me so much i set up payment ,once i realized it was a fraud  i closed account sothey did nt  get their money , alsom they said last payment  was  2002.i found out  by fla law they cant sue for debt over 5 years old,i sent them a registered letter to say  to say dont call me at  now they call   me at work  threatening to get me for the same as writing  a bad check.these people are  really bad news

As they have ignored your Cease Communication letter, you can now file a complaint with the FTC for violation of Section 805 of the FDCPA:

(c) CEASING COMMUNICATION.  If a consumer notifies a debt collector in writing that the consumer refuses to pay a debt or that the consumer wishes the debt collector to cease further communication with the consumer, the debt collector shall not communicate further with the consumer with respect to such debt, except --

(1) to advise the consumer that the debt collector's further efforts are being terminated;

(2) to notify the consumer that the debt collector or creditor may invoke specified remedies which are ordinarily invoked by such debt collector or creditor; or

(3) where applicable, to notify the consumer that the debt collector or creditor intends to invoke a specified remedy.

If such notice from the consumer is made by mail, notification shall be complete upon receipt.

(d) For the purpose of this section, the term "consumer" includes the consumer's spouse, parent (if the consumer is a minor), guardian, executor, or administrator.

When they were Marshall & Z....... I had my lawyer write a cease communication letter and sent it.  They called again and said they never got the letter.  Then that was the end.  Suddenly 3-27-08 they call again as Adams & ................  And when it was Marshall calling me in 2007 it was for a 7 year old debt.  CALIFORNIA has a 4 year statute on collections.

No answer when I called back. The message said leave a message with your number and case number and maybe we will call you back. Maybe?

I have no negatives on my credit report, no late payments, nothing.  Got a voice mail from Abrams, Burke and Assoc similar to others on here.  I'll be ignoring it now that I know these people are scammmers.  Thanks for all the reports on here.

I received a call today from a Mr. Hunter from Abram's, Burke, and Associates claiming there is a judgment against me in the county where I reside and they were trying to settle out of court for $1500 but my account was for $3000. This was an old account from 6 years ago that went to another company because it was charged off. Then he wanted me to make payment arrangements using a checking account. He knew that someone at my residence had a checking account. When they found out I did not have the funds to pay he wanted me to overdraft my account. BIG SCAM!!!

they called me on March 31,2008 at 11:03am and ask to speak to Oscar. I said I only see him on certain days. I do not know his phone number. They said he need to call 1-866-414-1004 before 5pm New York time because they have a summons for him. If he does not call it will go to an arrest warrant. I ask why and they said it was for fraud!! How they get my number, I do not know. We have been divorced for 20 years!! We are still friends though. I called the number on my cell phone from where they called me     (1-716-692-3440) and got a verizon messaging mailbox. I called the
1-866-414-1004 number to get the name of the company (Abraham & Burke)and was told that it was the second time I called and that if I called again, they would press charges for harassment!!! I hung up in disgust.I looked up their name on the web and found this site. Good thing I did.

I've received a call from Abrams,Burke & Assoc.on March 17th & March 27th informing me that I owed over $4000.00 since 2003 which includes late fees and retainer fees for a business I've never dealt with and that they were going to put a judgment against all my assets.  They had too much personal info on me and that really scares me.  The odd thing is I refied my house and of course my credit is in the 780's and their are no outstanding debts showing.  I think they pick any person with your name and try to strong arm them and hope that person will send them money.

I'm getting an attorney to stop these jerks.

I was contacted by 1 866 823 8876 - Abrams Burke Associates on the 27 of March and was left a message to contact as soon as possible regarding a summons.  I returned the call and talked to a Ms Genaro who told me she was a mediator for Bank of America.  Said they were Ruthless in Dealing with clients.  I told her the reason I had not paid Bank of America was that I had cancer and was not working at the time.  She gave me a story that her father had died of cancer and she would be easy on me and only charge me $3000 and after talking she lowered it to $2500.  If I didn't I could be taken to court and that they would not be nice - so not knowing and being foolish enough I agreed.  I have cancelled my credit card and contacted the Fraud department.  I was told to contact the Attorney General and Bank of America - however - now I know that they are a fraud.  My account was charged to Kingman Cole and Associate out of NY.  Is there anything I can do?  Any help would be appreciated
