- DevonI received a call from the number earlier today and they gave me a case file number as well. Since I've looked the number up I'm pretty sure it's fraud so do any of you have any suggestions on how to deal with these guys?
- Paul| 2 repliesSame msg as the rest of the folk in here.. Although the call was dropped to voice mail, the thing is: I have a few creditors after me so I simply assumed that it was on behalf of one of them. Interesting to see that it may be something else..?

- JOE| 1 replyThis is not fraud-- please call me at 866 424 4753 ext 8 to discuss
- Bill replies to JOEJoe, why don't you leave me your number at home so we can discuss at a more convenient time for me. Thanks.
- Tom| 2 repliestheyre collecting on behalf of goodlife, which is one of their "clients"...
they let a 171.00 dollar bill build up and not tell me, - Bill replies to PaulDoesn't appear that they have a listing in the Yellow Pages either..

Makes me wonder if they're even a legit firm? Probably boiler room operators given the lack of Internet presence, too. - Paul replies to Tom| 1 replySeems a little odd that Goodlife would use a legal firm for the first contact. Given that I'm also a member, I better go through my bank records. Guess I'll find out if we're in the same boat if I'm unable to gain entry to the gym later, eh. LOL!!!
Thanks for the heads up.. Paul - Jenn replies to PaulGoodlife fitness? They were supose to send me a bill when I cancelled my memebership which I havent yet received. Not gonna screw up my credit for goodlife, but it does make sense that it is goodlife fitness
- RELAX EVERYONE!| 2 repliesI got ahold of them, the guys name was Joe! He was supernice. For me it wsa goodlife. Just call him back and find out before you all start to freak out.
- Paul replies to RELAX EVERYONE!| 1 replyIf this is in fact Goodlife related, then I can't wait to talk to the mgr at my club in an hour's time. Should he fail to have any kind words for me, along with a quick remedy, then my guess is letters to head office will be going out, along with CC's to the local news stations. First point of contact by a "legal entity" is unacceptable and very unprofessional. The firm is suppose to be in the Health and Fitness industry, and I can only imagine the sort of emotional deterioration this might be causing some people.
If anything comes of my visit to the gym tonight, the update will be posted later. - contact made replies to PaulI just spoke to the law firm-- they were very professional-- Sounds like you just want to get out of your bill!
- A former goodlife memberIf this is how goodlife deals with thier customers than I am cancelling my membership right away!
- Andie| 1 replyI got the same call and realized after reading this latest set of responses that someone at goodlife is not doing their job
I do owe money on my account, but I have been in touch with teh membership line, have an email to prove it that a representative knew I was going to pay off the account at the end of this week.
so why now suddenly im getting hounded by calls by a collection agency seems like they are not all together keeping track of what calls are being made to what people.
BAD organization on their part and will upset members if it continues - Dave replies to KBHey I got a call from that same number left a message at my olld roomates place, claiming to be a law firm needing to talk to me about a very important legal issue.
- PaulRe: Goodlife... --> Follow-Up
Well, I hit the gym tonight and entered the club without incident. Given the hour, senior staff were note on hand, therefore, I refrained from raising the topic.
My feeling is that if there is a membership/payment problem, then management can contact me - via letter or telephone. Phone calls from these 'Casey Van Moorlehem' jokers will remain unreturned as it's my policy to only deal with the offended party; and not the man in the middle.
Should anything material arise, I will post the details.
~Cheers! - anna| 1 replyyeah i got the same message req for me to call them back, its so weird. it kinda scared me lol cause i work for rogers call centre, and i thought some customer was pissed off at me. i did call them back and left a message
- annaugh goodlife? i paid my balance!!!!
- One of the same...| 1 replyReceived VM today requesting a call back to a toll free number. File number was included, however, the person who left the message failed to leave his name and included only an extention number.
Seems like a Mickey Mouse type of law firm so far.. Reading the above posts one would presume that this is Good Life related? Well, I'm a club member, too, and so far there's been no problem entering the club. Perhaps in my case it's pertaining to something else? .. Just know that whoever hired this firm sure picked the bottom of the basket to deal with their mess. Given that nobody has been 'knocking on my door' for matters that I'm aware of, I'll let this slide...
Good Luck all..- Caller: Van Morlem Law Firm
