This worked wonderfully. I wish all of these "800" numbers offered the same opportunity.

I saw this posting about this number and tried it:

Called this number back, they were apparently unavailable. You have the option to press 1 for more info. I did so, and then (based on another poster's instructions) pressed three, and it asked me what number I wanted to remove from their list.

Put in my number, and the recorded message said "We'll try and have it off in the next couple of days."

No call wanted to this phone number

these jerks called at 8:32 am eastern time 09/15/11.They also like to call and just leave no message but typical phone line noise on my answering system.breaking the rule and being rude seems to be their game.

Awesome that this still works!  Dial the 866 # then 1 then 3 and enter your number.  I wish all solicited callers would make it this easy.  I have some weird marketing scheme contacting my cell phone and I can't call them back to ask to be put on their do not call list. THAT'S infuriating.

I have not been unbearable bombarded by the ACLJ (only three calls in about two weeks), but I do not prefer contact via telephone, especially when it's usually to solicit funds.  E-mail is fine and I still listen to the ACLJ's daily update regularly ... I'm good with that.

Thanks. I called the number and they apoligized and removed us from the daily calling. A lot of these callers are separate agencies that get paid for actually aquiring a new customer for their client. Sometimes the clients don't realize that they are actually causing already paying customers to be harassed. Always ask for something in the mail and do research on line to be sure you are giving to creditable charities etc.

I get these calls 3 or 4 times a day. There is never a message left. I have even been woke up from these call. I am sick of them.

Thanks!  I followed the instructions you listed and it said the same thing.  These folks were calling me at 5:15 a.m. almost every morning.  It disrupted my whole household.

well you know what if I want to give money to some religious group.  I dont want to have some fool call and beg me for any money.  I give money to my own church.  Not interested in anybody elses church to make them rich so they can drive around in big fancy cars.

The calls are from the AMERICAN CENTER FOR LAW AND JUSTICE, it is not a scam. They only call people who have shown interest in their lobbying efforts for fair treatment of constitutional rights. if you have no interest in helping with this, just call back and push the button they say, to stop the calls. You may have opted in on the internet for instance or a freind referred you. Have a nice day.

I was harassed ENDLESSLY by the ACLJ and they refused to remove my phone from their marketing scam lists despite countless promises from them that they would take my phone off of their lists (and I did NOT "opt in" to harassed by them. I finally got them to stop after filing with the BBB and multiple governmental agencies - including the National Do Not Call Register, the FBI Fraud Unit, the Federal Trade Commission, and many, many others. Calling them is absolutely useless.

They just called like so many other times and do not leave a message...

ACLJ has been calling just about every day often more than once a day but they don't leave messages on the voicemail.  This organization's relentless robocalling spamming tactics are inexcusable and make the whole organization look very suspect.  They call from multiple phone numbers too like

Is there a serious love of money problem here? Probably.  Spamming people just makes many of them not want to give.  I don't and don't plan to either.  Groups like ACLJ just destroy their own credibility when they spam people like this.

I get several calls from this number every day.

Have given to ACLJ before, but the phone calls get crazy.  Not working and only have Social Security to live on.  I called back, pressed #1  then # 3  and had my number taken off their call list.  I agree with what they do and get mailings from them and get email info.

Thanks for the instructions on how to remove myself from their robo-calling. While I am a Christian and believe in just, I think this solicitous approach to fundraising or support is counterintuitive and counterproductive. I've never given to ACLJ, and to contact me at 8:30am and to do so repeatedly despite the fact that I've never requested this contact is a total disregard for my rights as a US citizen. I am also offended that the calls have been coming incessantly at this early hour AND DURING MY VACATION from work. My sleep and rest are being disrupted which is incredibly inconsiderate!! If thought I about giving, then I certainly wouldn't now, that's for sure/
