The many postings about calling back to have your number removed were made by shills for this fraud.

They want suckers to call back to confirm their number, which will then be placed on a list for future calls and sold to other scam artists.

This one is old as the hills folks - don't be fooled!!

Thank you for the information, hopefully the calls will stop. It seems like a month after I give them money they start calling all hours of the day, tired of it.

ACLJ is a Right wing counter-ACLU, conservative, religious douches.  FoxNews watchers, basically. (just go to their website.  Heck, even **Pat Robertson was telling them to tone down the fanaticism) They don't make their own calls, it's all on auto-dialers.  It's so funny how they always use that Orwellian "newspeak" double talk in their labels and organization names.   Law.... and.. Justice... WHO's justice?  Who's law?

These people have called 2-3 times and never leave a message.  Thank goodness for this website and allowing people like us to check and see what others' have written.  I called the number and as stated many times before here - pressed 1 and then 3 and entered my phone number.  The message said it would remove me from their list.!!!!!!  Thanks everyone for all of your input!

The truth is, you are not going to get rid of them, when they take you off of one list they just change the phone # and continue to call until you finally give in.  Take my word for it

Absurdly enough, my greatest annoyance with these ACLJ calls is that I have picked up numerous times, and usually no one is there even after ten seconds! The one time a person did respond, he identified himself as calling with ACLJ and asked to speak to my husband. When I told him he was busy at the moment but that I'd be interested in hearing what the ACLJ has to say, HE REFUSED! He said he'd call another time, which I asked him not to do, but he'd already hung up. Thanks, everyone for the call-back tip. Ridiculous.

These idiots called me at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday!  Thank you for the info on how to call and press 1 and then 3 in order to have my # removed.

Goat a call from this number-tried it back states it is American Center for Law and Justice - press 1 for more info ACLJ is for legal and religion  - press 3 and enter your number and it will be removed from there list.

able, to at least check out there website.
It should be easy to find.  I can't afford to contribute
very often, but they are legit.  You can still sign
any petitions you agree with and send up your
prayers for free.  It's the least I can do.  And

I received the same mssg, but I continued to enter the # and on the third or fourth attempt it accepted it.

This number keeps calling and I tell them that there is no one by that name at this number.

Calls that annoy me. They don't leave messages and are probably looking for donations.

Got a call from 866-430-8734  When I I googled 866 area code it tells me that it can be from anywhere and that the person who receives the call pays for it, not the one who made the call. Not sure what the scam is since I didnt answer it but clearly its not legit.

I get the calls also, the recorded message that you can't press 0 to talk to a human just keeps going for about 30 seconds.I have spoke with the ACLJ and they told me it's not them but some kind of scammer. They said they don't make illegal calls. Since they are lawyers and "maybe" christians I tend to believe that.  It's just some doomasses, prob from the aclu..
