Every single day they call.  Sometimes they leave a message.  Sometimes they don't.  It's either a lady who seems sort of pleasant but usually it's some snotty, rude sounding guy.  They have the wrong number!  They are looking for someone else and we've told them that over and over.  They still call.  We just don't answer the phone anymore.

I keep getting calls all day long from this company as well.

Receive multiple calls from this number, any time of the day, even after disconnecting my number for 3 months. Their website, www.takhargroup.com gives you two choices to go to, one for online payments, and one for corporate info. On their corporate site it lists their call center location, or as they call it "global delivery centre", as being in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, as well as the Asia Pacific Region. They are not even located in the US.

business started in 2001? that doesn't jive very well with the statement on their corporate site, claiming to be in business since 1983.

Have been receiving calls from this number for weeks. They left one message with their web address.
www.takhargroup.com. No messages other times. I happened to be home today when they called so
I answered. A man with an Indian accent asked for my husband's and son's name. When I said I was
Sr.'s wife, he said it was concerning books we'd bought from Double Day in 2010 at Christmas. When I
said we had not bought any such books, he repeated the statement. I repeated that we had not bought
anything from Double Day and that they had the wrong person. He said he would make note of that.

This number calls me all the time and hangs up. Once I answered and they decided to tell me, they didn't know who I am/was... but they still call back like 7 times a day... If I meet these schmucks I will punch them in the throat. Damn hacks

The Takhar Group needs to stop calling and harrassing me. I do not have outstanding debts with anyone.

I believe this is a valid collection company.  We had been receiving calls from other companies for a person who, we are guessing, used to have this phone number.  Now, this Takhargroup called asking for this woman.  I think Takhargroup is a 3rd party collection agency trying to contact her.

This number calls several times a day and it is becoming quite the nuisance.  A recording is being left on my voice mail to call them back, but I have never heard of them before.   I would like them to stop harassing me once and for all.

This is not for a book club it is for BMG Music club, not telemarketers, debt collectors....tell them you claimed the account on bankruptcy

Dont give them any other info they are a bunch of bottom feeding scum bags. Then contact the BBB for Niagra New York and report them for there practices.

This works I received calls non-stop everyday and I have no outstanding debt or collections. Its been one week and no calls.

I just received a call from 866-441-5558 at 3:04PM EDT. I answered it and there was dead silence. So, I called the number back...

A woman with a Middle Eastern (Indian) accent immediately answered and said "thank you for calling ______________. How may I help you?"

I was not able to catch the name of the company that she said. But in turn, I stated that I just received a call from her company and I'd like to find out why. The woman stated "certainly" and then proceeded to check out my phone number. She repeated my phone number, but butchered the last four numbers. I had her verify it again, because of her flubbing of the numbers.

After verification, the woman states that this is a valid number for some woman I never heard of. I stated that there is no one here by that name. The woman stated "oh ok, I'll remove your number." I politely said thank you.

i got the same Indian voice called Edward Green, he said he knew i have a very good credit score that he needed me to pay off the $38.65 BMG Music club membership, so it wont ruin my credit score.Everything is a scam! dont give them any info!

Got a call, didn't answer.  If they ever send me anything in writing that I owe a friggin' book club, which I don't, I will send a reply letter to them denying owing, a copy to the attorney general in whatever state they send the notice from, the attorney general in my state & all 3 credit bureaus.

This is such a scam, if you get calls from this # do NOT give them any personal information is BS they call me weekly!  The people calling barely speak english and they claim they are from the Takar Group and they are a collection agency.  Ask them to send you proof if your "debt" and they start to stutter.

I am so sick of the 1-800 #'s calling Mon-Sun. Don't they have better things to do with their life. besides worry people with these stupid ass phone calls all day, Get a life, I know that it is state law can give your cell number or phone numbers out to anyone, But we deserve privacy,

If you haven't registered your home # or cell you better do so on do-not call registery.  Once you register their not suppose to be calling you, they just keep changing to another phone number when you don't answer the phone the first time they call. NOTE ----- DO-NOT, I REPEAT DO-NOT GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION AT ALL. the guy said I took out a loan, I knew that was a lie, cause a loan is the least thing I could do with my husband in a wheel chair from brain surgery, I don't need anothere bill.

Received call from 866-441-5558 someone with a strong accent told I owed money to a company called Columbia House. He knew my full name and cell phone number.  He told me that if I didn't make  immediate payment it would go onto my credit report.   I have never purchased anything from Columbia House.   I told him I knew he was trying to scam me and to never call back.  

How do we stop these people!

Get calls from this number all of the time. A foreign sounding man calling himself Bobby asking for Sarah. Finally got a call and commented, "You must be a [***]...I hate [***]." and hung up. They called right back and said the same thing back to me.
