This number calls three times a day, no message

Called pretending to be Comcast. Told me I had an outstanding bill and wanted me to pay with credit card over the phone. Total scam. They asked for me by first and last name when I picked up which is a bit unnerving. Beware.

I too have been receiving multiple calls from this number....I don't plan on answering especially after reading the info here.....thanks for the heads up!

This number keeps on harassing me day and night so tired of the harassment they need to be sued  for  harassing people

For months I have been receiving recorded calls from 866-447-4163 several times a day stating this is a collection call from Wayfair & to call back. Today I finally called back to reach a recording asking for acct # or phone #, which I entered. A rep answers phone and states can only help me if I give my full name, address, phone # & last 4 digits of my social security #. This must stop, as I my credit is excellent, I owe no bills & have received no written correspondence about this in the mail.

Other people have reported that this is Waypoint Resource Group, to which I have posted their information on the first page of this thread.  You can be sure that they have no intention of following the FDCPA.  You should use the information I posted to do the following:

You need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation (by law they have to go back to the original creditor to prove you owe the debt), cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter (this will be the best money that you have ever invested).  Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it.  Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter.  You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to.  Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment.  If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt and we would all be the richer for it.  Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front):  http://www.consumeradvocates.org/

Called me 13 times in 7 Days. Finally answered. Couldn’t pronounce my name, I asked for a clarification of spelling, they spelled it wrong. I told her she had the wrong person then she hung up.

They identified themselves at the waypoint resource group and that the call was being recorded. Said they were calling about an important private dept matter. I ended the call. I keep excellent track of my finances, there is no way this is legitimate.

It is not, and they do have a habit of violating federal and state collection laws.  You should read the post on the first page.

This is a legitimate debt collector. I was suspicious at first, but then Cox Communications confirmed they had transferred a debt to this company.

Multiple calls from these guys.8:30 a.m. today.  Aren't they just a hungry bunch?

Have excellent credit with no outstanding bills......suspect that is just their cover or someone is spoofing the number.   Either way,  they can take a hike,  I'm never answering a call from these creeps.
