- Elaine AllenI received this call several times this week. I have already filed a chapter 7 bankruptcy and been before the judge dismissing my owing anyone and I am also on the do not call list local and national registry. They are making a very serious mistake by calling me. I got a recording say call this number back as it is from a collection agency. WOW. I guess I should let them call me and they can pay me money everytime they call me for violating the laws. the number that called me is 1-866-447-4163.
- Caller: collections
- Call type: Debt collector
- Karen| 1 replyI received this same robocall last year - it's states they are calling about a bad debt but they do not state who they are calling and they want a return call to discuss it. Caller ID "WAYPOINTRESGRP". I suspect this is some type of scam because I don't have any outstanding bills. I don't return calls from robocalls because they could be charging me for the call and most of them are random calls trying to steal from people.

- BigA replies to KarenCall to 800 numbers cannot "charge" you for the call. This has been well known for several decades now. They are well known to violate federal and state collection laws. What they are now required to do has been posted in this thread. You should be reading that as well.
- KarenThis number has been calling for months - I usually just ignore robocalls but this one just wouldn't stop. I pressed one and was put on hold for 6 minutes waiting for a person. When someone finally answered I asked her what she was calling about - she said collections - I asked what the bill was as she is calling a business and she wouldn't tell me. She asked for the owner by name and insisted on talking to him - I told her I am the bookkeeper and if there is a problem with one of the bills she needs to talk to me. She would not talk to me and said she would be removing the phone number from their call list. If something was really owed why wouldn't she tell me - this is some type of scam.

security benefits are suspended also. I never spoke to a person, but got about 6 calls in a 3 day period.- Caller: unidentified

- GrumpyOur robe call said that they were debt collectors. I am sure that they are trying to collect on an old debt that they bought. I don't have any old or current collectible debts, but someone who was listed on my number 20 years ago probably does have some. They must inform in writing as to the complete nature of the debt before any calls are made. I'm sure that the call to my phone was an attempt to short cut the process. I left them a message to the effect that I was not the person from whom they were trying to extort money and not to bother me again. Should they be stupid enough to ignore my warning, the next step is the FTC and possibly some other agencies.

- mardav2| 1 replyCaller ID says "WAYPOINTRESGRP". I don't answer 800 calls. No message.I see they are a debt collection agency. I do not owe anyone any money.

- BigA replies to mardav2Yes, well known criminal enterprise in Texas. All of that was explained in this thread. It doesn't matter if you owe anyone, they routinely make up debts and then try to get you to pay them. If you protest, they claim it was a mistake on the "original creditor's" part and stop trying to scam you.
- MariCall everyday I have them blocked wish I could get them to stop. Before I blocked they would leave no message?????
- SKThis company calls daily Monday through Friday on my land line for the past four months or so. They call, hang up, then call back but don't leave a message and I know it's a company that does this all the time but it doesn't make it right to keep calling me month after month. What is wrong with people like this? If you received any calls from this company, please make a complaint and maybe just maybe they will give the message. Thank you so much.

- Just Tiredsame as all you guys. no answer looks like they not going away lol
- AllenRepeated calls.... over and over again. They don't pick up when I answer. It's too bad un-educated people can't get real jobs and must bother other people for a living. They don't have the integrity to identify themselves. Why are the calling me? At least leave a message. Got to be scammers.
