After reading other posts, I answered to have some fun. When asked my birthday, I said "You called me, so you have it in front of you".  He said "Thank you" and hung up.

First it was a man, today a woman, both with accents, possibly from India. They claim to be with Fifth Third bank, my bank. I told her that I had spoken with my nearest branch manager, which I had, and that it was being investigated for the fraud that it is. "Ok, thank you".  CLICK!

Keeps calling. .scam. .says they are 5/3 Bank but they just want info from u

I have been receiving calls from this number. I just made my last payment. I actually paid over on some of my payments for my car so that my last payment would be less. When I called to find out what the final payment was I was told that it was a $100 more and that I missed a payment. I didn’t. I have the documentation. The person who took the call demanded both payments and wanted overpayment on one. I said no. That I hadn’t missed a payment and that I should owe less and not more and I wasn’t going to pay until I pulled my records. I did send the final payment off for the full amount. I take care of elderly family members so my time isn’t my own. But it’s interesting to know that they are fully paid and they are still calling. I wonder how long it will take to get my title.

I’ve heard about them.  A family member used them but luckily paid off their loan quickly. They have foreign callers who call and demand money that sometimes you don’t even owe. They are extremely rude and call incessantly. The callers have to be making a percentage otherwise they wouldn’t be so aggressive. Warn family and friends- don’t use them.

Not tech savvy. Didn’t know how to block calls until now. I’m very grateful. Don’t like to be called for money I DO NOT OWE. I hate companies like these.

I have a mortgage loan through 53rd Bank (was with another lender previously) and they call non-stop if you don't pay the 1st of the month, even though you have a grace period. I contacted them about the amount of calls and this is what they said:

Thank you for contacting Fifth Third Bank. We are sorry to learn that you have received unwanted phone calls regarding your mortgage payment.

Our Collections Department will call any time a payment is not made on its due date, even within the grace period as a payment made after the due date is technically considered late.

Continual calls and leaves no message.

Received 17 calls from this number wanting my bank info. Called the real bank and they have no  clue.

They are NOT Fifth Third Bank according to Fifth Third.
They ask for personal information to VERIFY it is you.

I just got that call, no message. I just don't answer a call anymore if I don't know it. If they want me they'll leave a message.

I got a call from them and I would not confirm any info for them.  I called 53 direct and they told me it is a scam.  Never give out/ confirm information.

Disclosed no info on reason for call and  requested sensitive data

This number calls me EVERY DAY and on weekends.  How can I stop this harassment?

This is a number for 5/3. After receiving a  call from this # (I didn't answer). I called 5/3 and all me accounts were in good standings.  This number is being spoofed, Spoofing, in general, is a fraudulent or malicious practice in which communication is sent from an unknown source disguised as a source known to the receiver. It's just like the scammers that use the IRS number. DO NOT GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION. 5/3 will never ask for account numbers, social security numbers, etc!

I was receiving calls from this number for approx 2 1/2 weeks about 3-4 times a day saying they were with 5/3 bank and were asking for my birthdate and/or my address.When I proceeded to ask them what this was in regards to they wanted to know personal info over the phone and I told them I would not give it to them. One lady hung up on me when she knew I was on to them.I began to get furious with the situation and called them out. I then just blocked the number. They would call after 8 pm and it got really annoying. The calls have since stopped after I reported them to my bank
