- DVeeBeen getting calls from these guys over the last few weeks, then this morning got a call and decided to call back.
The machine asked for my SSN so I dialed in the last nine digits of their number and got transferred to Markus who immediately asked me for my social. Didn't give it to him, but asked to be removed from their lists since I've never had any dealings with this company. He said I wasn't in their records, even though I'd been called not two minutes prior.
This is a scam, either from Barclay's or using their name.- Caller: Barclay's Bank
- I'm not Regina!!Apparently, Regina Sanchez had my cell phone number before me and I am receiving collection calls from 2 toll-free numbers for Regina; 866-456-0677 and 866-408-4060. I've blocked both numbers but they still pop up as missed calls; at least the phone doesn't ring.
- Caller: No idea
- Call type: Debt collector

Eventually, they will figure this out and start again with a variation of this number. put in any number you don't want calling you! - Doris replies to frustratedThe same with me. They were calling every day sometimes up to 6 times at any hour. I picked up the phone one day and asked the person what they wanted. She said it was from a bank and needed my personal information, I told her no that I did not give out my personal information to anyone at all, especially over the phone to a total stranger. They still call.
- MAReceived call Monday, January 20 at 10:40 AM. Did not answer.
- Angelika1972Calls multiple times each day.
- Caller: 866-456-0677
- Over It| 1 replyI've gotten a billion calls from them, another (856) 456-**** number, a number from Georgia and a number from Florida..... as well as an array of "Private" and "Unknown" numbers. The worst thing you can do is answer the calls. That means your number is worth calling because they get a response, even if it's one to tell them to stop calling. After a few weeks of failure to reach you, they will try to attack your phone with a new scam from a new number. Just ignore them and block the numbers.
- Call type: Debt collector
- Fed UpThey call multiple times a day starting from 8-10 at night. Even if I do answer and tell them wrong number, they still continue to call and ask for the same person! And they don't leave messages. Check your state laws tho. I sent them a certified letter stating not to contact me by phone at all. All correspondence will need to be by mail. And so far so good. No more phone calls.
- Caller: Barclays Bank
- Call type: Debt collector
- JerryI get at least 7 calls a day from Barclay. I only answer calls that I know who is on the other line. If you want to speak to me, leave a message on my voice mail. I identify each of this unknown callers with a name: Zz Barclay or Zz Citi Bank, or whatever. They are tricky in that they try new numbers to see if I will answer, but I never do.
- Caller: probably Barclay collections
- JohnI keep getting calls from this number. They keep calling numerous times a day asking for my Social Security Number. I don't give out my social security to unknown callers.
- Caller: Barclays

- JohnI keep getting calls from this number up to 6 times a day and they never leave messages, but I believe it is a Credit Card company trying to collect an overdue bill. I don't give out personal information on the phone. I did that once to someone who claimed to be from a credit card company and instead of helping they put unauthorized charges on my card.
- Caller: Barclays
- Call type: Debt collector
- TfI just got a call with no messege left. Its Barclays card credit card. I think its the collection dept. I also get calls from there reg phone number to. That ones 1-866-408-4070. Yes I owe them 1800$ and yes ive made one or two payments of 25$ but im on dissability and all my money is gone before I even see it. Having a roof over my head is more important than paying a ccrd. I cant afford to work with a credit counseling place. I have to have mine paid off in a yr or there fees go up. And I cant do a bankruptcy. I have not talked to them at all.
