Timothy M. Monty, scammer of New World Marketing, was convicted Wednesday of felony criminal trespass to residence and misdemeanor domestic battery. Monty, carrying a loaded weapon, attempted to enter his estranged wife's
home through a garage door and when he was unable to, started pounding on the front door and yelling.
Monty stepped inside and began to yell at the victim, at one point touching his face to the victim’s face. “This case is similar to so many domestic violence cases, where someone is so angry about his loss of control that he resorts to physical violence,” Kane County State’s Attorney Joe McMahon said in the release.
“This was an incredibly volatile situation and the presence of his gun made it that much more dangerous for everyone involved, including the police, and even neighbors. Our community has seen too many incidents just like this one become deadly in an instant."
