I receive calls from this number 866-515-3445 every day, my answering machine is flooded with messages. I finally got so frustrated that I called it back. Alls that recording told me was thanks for returning our call, if for want English press one- so I did- it rang a few times and disconnected itself. I wasn't convinced this was anumber to nowhere until I tried again and got the same results.

    I sent an e-mail to:
    sales@bayareacredit.com
as another person has done in their message quoted above.

I've been receiving calls on my cellphone for weeks now from caller ID 800-697-1234. I didn't answer because it was an 800-number. When I heard the voicemail, I figured the call was NOT legit since the recorded message only provided a callback number, 866-515-3445, but no company name. The calls originally occurred only every once in awhile and now I get voicemails every day at all hours of the day! I've actually missed important calls such as a flight cancellation because I thought it was the 866-515-3445 people calling me! I was hoping that if I ignored the calls, they would give up but that is not the case. Very annoying! How do I make them stop?!?

Always the same...every day or two and a few times on the days the call does come. Importaint message, not a sales or solitation call. Asks to call 866-515-3445. Getting sick and tired of hearing this message. Obviously being on a national no call list does not help!!

This call woke me up this morning!  No identification, just the phone number.  This has been going on for a long time, and I'm very tired of it.  My number is unlisted and I am on the no-call list.  I just sent an email to the address listed on a previous post.  We'll see what happens.

I've just started doing a *69 on other calls that don't even leave a callback number or just hang up.  I've been quite successful in getting some useful information.  Time to fight back with these clowns.

Has emailing sales@bayareacredit.com stopped the phone calls worked? I emailed this address twice from 2 different accounts in the past couple of days but have not received any responses.

I also filed a complaint with the National Do Not Call Registry/FTC for the call back number 866-515-3445 at https://www.donotcall.gov/Complain/ComplainCheck.aspx
    I hope they get investigated!!!

Oh "Eric" - you must work for Bay Area Credit - because otherwise how and why are you on this forum?!? Talk about stupid.

I confirmed that the calls are coming from a company called Bay Area Credit (bayareacredit.com) so contact them to stop the harrassing calls. I personally have perfect credit but I believe they are calling because they think I know someone they are looking for. It's one thing to call and ask for information but they leave messages at all hours of the day, several times per week, never state the company name or their purpose. I had to leave my phone off for months until I resolved the problem. I reported the company to the FTC and I highly suggest the rest of you do so as well.

I will report them to the Better Business Bureau next and any other agency I can think of!

They call and leave me a different number to call back then caller ID and they say this is not a sales call. I called back and the guy wanted my information first. I said no, tell me who you are, what you want, or who you are collecting for and he got obnoxious and was telling me off. WHen I asked to speak to a manager he kept repeating "get lost" without even taking a breath and talking right over me. I hung up.

The automated calls have started AGAIN. I just filed another formal complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. I have a friend who works in the District Attorney's office. I'll see if there are quicker ways to shut down this operation. In the meantime, I encourage everyone to file complaints with government agencies such as the FTC. Perhaps Bay Area Credit will get fined for their harrassment.

    mad as can be
I also have been getting these phone calls and it looks like you all have similar information.  Seems this company should be fined and/or sued!  When I returned the call to 866-515-3445, they asked if I was Diane and some strange last name.  When I told her no, she said, "oh sorry".  Geez, thanks for calling so many times (insert expletive)

I emailed them and asked to be removed but they always start up again. Are other people having the same problem? How can we take legal action against them and get them sued? Maybe we can start contacting people who work there until they stop? Please share what you know.

can also contact your phone provider and they contact this company on your behalf, that way the complaint is documented.
