someone called today from this number.  she sounded like she was either 90 yrs old, or that she wasn't all there.  she asked for my boss.  i told her he was out of the office (he was standing right in front of me).  she asked if he was out to lunch.  annoyed, i replied that he was out of the office.  then she proceeded to ask who was responsible for our banking decisions.  i sent her to our corporate office.  hopefully they won't call back again.  SO ANNOYING! and absolutely none of her business where my boss is.

Got a call on my cell phone from this number; I didn't answer.  They left the most bizarre message on my voicemail.  I am NOT making this up.  It was a woman saying, "Gumby...I like Gumby and Pokey [slight giggle]."  The entire message lasted about 4 seconds.  BIZARRE!

This number belongs to a  research/survey company, Arbitron - just today I got a five dollar bill with a letter as a follow-up on a radio listening survey.  They pay to get your opinions.  For once this is a legit company just following up on something I filled out for them online a few months ago.I had forgotten but my son remembered.  So bear with them and answer the call - actually it was fun to give the answers and I really liked the $5 bill I got today.  I'll probably give them some more answers now.

Keep getting calls from this number, I have them documented and I am on the do not call list, and boy are they in for a real treat....

So odd as I got this call at 11am pst on 4/22/10 and this was the id caller number shown however when the lady spoke to me she said this was regarding a survey for grenich banking of some sort and say to contact her back at this number, 800-568-7728 ext 541.

I returned a call. The outgoing message identifed "Interviewing Service of America". There was no oportunity to leave voicemail.

I understand that FTC rules in the US do not cover survey firms. The DoNoCall site does not give any information about this. Surely there is a requirement that survey firms accept instructions to remove numbers from their lists, and provide a way of doing that - ?? (There is in Canada.)

I suggest that anyone reading this immediately go to their anonymous online email account (no need to give annoying callers your name and real email address) and send a message.

Given the prompt reply I have had, you probably need only state your telephone number and direct them to remove it from their lists. Unless you think they'd benefit from your opinion. ;)

What I don't understand is why research calls for marketing purposes aren't considered tele-marketing calls.  If the purpose of the call is to get information to better determine what products to sell or what products are of interest, then the activity itself falls under "marketing research" making the call a marketing call and since it is a call it is a tele-marketing call which should then be banned by the no call ban list.  Logically.  The loophole is serious b.s.  The next thing you know, companies will be calling to "barter" with us in exchange for some bonds or something we'll have to purchase through some bureaucratic nonsense.  But they'll claim they're a "barter" company and not selling.  The do not call list should truly be a "Do Not Call" list that includes research, because it is marketing.

Phone # 1-866-566-5188 keeps calling us!  How do I block it?  I am on the Do No Call List, but they keep calling back!  I even tell them to put me on their list, but they continue to call!

Please report this number so we won't receive any nuisance calls they are very frustrating. Caller said they are updating their files if so and so is here.

They just called and it is 10:12 p.m.  That is much to late to be calling. Normally I am in bed asleep. Stupid telemarketers!!

This number has called me repeatedly for weeks now. I'm a student and they have called while I am in class!! Thank goodness my ring was off. I want it to stop!!

Someone called saying they were a hospital social service organization, then they hung up. Okay........

I got a call from some "hospital social service organization" too....I put on a fake accent and pretended to be the maid, LOL.

Very nice lady offering a opportunity to participate in research and get paid for my time. Why do all these people say they didn't answer as a note? What help is that? Why are you afraid to answer? Maybe if you would answer they wouldn't call so much lol

This number called me today August 12, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. and identified themselves as Wachovia Bank (who i bank with) began asking me questions because I am a "Satisfied Valued Customer".  First question, my age, second question,.... they wanted to know if I identified myself as gay, lesbian or trans-gendered?  At that point I terminated the phone conversation. WTF?

If someone calls you from this number then, the best thing to do is pick up and inform them that you are not interested. Once you tell them that you are not interested they make a note of it and will not call you back.

This company is a market research company and they do not sell you anything! What they do is focus groups, when a new product comes out on the market they ask the public for their opinion and they pay them for their time and opinion. Sometimes they just do over the phone quick surveys.

The "do not call" list is for companies that are selling you stuff-this company does not qualify for that list because they are offering to pay you money for your opinions.

If you want them to stop calling you then you must pick up and tell them you are not interested or they will keep calling you until they have filled up their groups with all the people they need.
