I added them to my contact list with the option for RINGER OFF.

Did you register on the national do-not-call list? If so, they have to call you -again- after the 30 days have passed from your registration.

It's not "you get to report them 30 days after the call" just to be clear.

The guy tried to call my # at around 8AM but he called a TEXTNOW number so it didn't pick up. So...

Called twice in a row.  Message "Hello, Hello?".  Caller ID "Interviewing Svc".  No thanks!

NO legitimate company does business this way, so those who are making excuses for them--just knock it off, you sound ridiculous. Got repeated calls from this number, for weeks now. Our voice mail clearly states we will not pick up or return calls from "unknown caller"--which this one is. I picked it up once, because my husband was standing there, and he jumps to pick up the phone, no matter who it is or how inconvenient, and I wanted to do it myself to avoid him being nice to anyone who didn't deserve it! I said hello, and got nothing--dead air. Nice. What the heck is the point of THAT? Am I supposed to wait so I can hear a recording, or talk to some stranger with a seriously disgusting job hawking something probably illegal? I don't think so. I hung up. But they keep right on calling.

received call from 866-566-5188 11-19-10 Not sure what the purpose of the survey was for. They seemed to be fishing. Will report if they call again.

I have been getting many calls lately from these "survey" companies. I think they are trying to get information for a bill collector or just getting info on someone then selling it to companies. They claim it is legal because surveys are allowed under the Do Not Call list but if they are selling it or obtaining info for collections under a false pretence it would be illegal under the Do Not Call.

just got 2 calls today from this number (866-566-5188). Answered on the second call. The lady said the company was called Lynx (or Links) Research. The lady asked me if I was the Primary decision maker regarding the telephone/internet service for the business. She stressed that she was NOT selling anything. Alas, I'm not a business, and i told her so. She said thanks and have a good day and hung up.

After I told the caller to stop calling and hung up, she called back and left this message:

"You're a [***] idiot".

Got a call from 866-566-5188 and the lady said she was calling to do a research study on the use of power tools.  Since we are a construction company I beleive they are targeting the market they are calling.  She did however ask some very personal questions about the business that I didn't feel comfortable answering, how many people work there and also inquired about an old employee, weird. We are on the do not call list so if they keep calling I will just report them.

We have been getting calls from this number every night.  Each time they call they are taking a survey for something different.  When I ask them details about the purpose of the survey, where the data goes, who hired them etc, they cannot answer.  I hear them flipping through pages looking for the canned answer they are given.  

The last time they called they were interested in my finances - do you think I would give out that info over the phone?  

We told them to remove our names and numbers off their list.  I doubt that will work.

They called asking for the owner.  I asked what it was regarding, they said power tools.  I said what about power tools, they gave me a smart answer, you know electric drills and saws.  I told them I know what power tools are, what is it in reference to.  I need to speak to the owner who purchases tools.

Caller identified himself as Ron Jackson from Greenwich Consultants, wanted to speak to our CFO to take a survey.  We do not accept survey calls.

There is no such think as a prestigous research firm.  They are calling my cell phone which costs me money.
Any reputable company would not call your cell phone or call people who are on the "do not call list" as am I.

Arbitron Research.  After repeatedly asking to not call, following their procedures, they are now harassing every other day with dead line when answered.

Received a phone call about doing a Focus Group regarding my new car compared to another car.  Girl was pleasant, it pays $200, and I look forward to doing it this Friday.  I have no problem with this caller or company.
