Not everyone has the ability to do something against an unknown caller, especially when they spoof the number and don't give away who they are. Not everyone wants to go on an "expedition" to find out, they would rather avoid  giving a scammer the chance to trick them.

Some people are simply making a report and you have no idea if they even can do anything, do you? Badgering a call victim when you are clueless of what they are doing is something you should reflect on before opening your "mouth"!

Business agency called me about unpaid bill and started yelling at me at certain point. This is a Debt collector and very rude.

I am reporting this number because Unknown agency was harassing me ain’t unpaid bill which I do not own. I was nearly killed in car accident along with my mom, and shouldn’t be at fault for anything. Medical issues still inside of me for the rest of my life. I did tell this person they can contact me but next call I won’t answer phone because Rowen Powers yelled at me. Very rude business whoever they are, collections etc I don’t know because when they call it’s unknown number.

I received a call from this number letting me know that my adopted father had passed away and wanted to know if I was going to take care of his estate.  Something should be done about this. Someone is going to really be at a loss  when they actually fall for this kind of a scam. This really angers me.

I got 2 calls from 866-572-9374 today one on my home phone and an identical one on my Cell Phone. the name was mumbled but sounds like Amanda. looking for the person handling the estate of a relative and or the dead relatives company. He dies just over 2 years ago and retired almost 2 years before that. gave me reference # to use when I call back.

You will need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation (by law they have to go back to the original creditor to prove you owe the debt), cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter (this will be the best money that you have ever invested).  Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it.  Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter.  You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to.  Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment.  If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt, and we would all be the richer for it.  Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front):  http://www.consumeradvocates.org/

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.  

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.  If and when you get that letter you should immediately send that debt validation letter by certified, return receipt mail.

Have had two calls from this number. Looks like spam to me. Did not answer either one from Simms Assoc.

Yeah I received a message on 02/23/2022 from same number (866-572-9374), which message was from a lady asking to speak with "the person handling [my name's] Final Affairs." Final Affairs would be my will and finances after my death.
    I haven't returned their call, as it serms like a total scam.

Simm [***] called wanting money from deceased husband.  I explained that he died and had no estate and there will be no money coming from me.  The debt was from a CC in my husbands name only from before we were married, so I don't owe anything.
They keep calling and asking for a lower payment and they will stop calling.  I told them were they could shove their lower payment and hung up.

Once you to tell them that you are not going to pay they are required by law to stop calling you. Other than that everything that you need to know about this company and how the handle this problem was already posted.

Absolutely... I just received a call from here indicating she was probate for my deceased sister...  And upset because I didn't comply with giving my name.
