i have received a letter of the same it seems to be a land line in kanas city kanas 25.000 what is this

It makes me want to cry.

01/06/2009 I recieved a card stating that I have 36 hours to respond to receive 25K. That really sucks when you are tring to make it in such hard times to receive a letter like this! I am being sued from a hospital because my Insurance company would not pay the hospital bill after I had a stroke in the year 2004 30K is what I owe and 25K would of been nice! I would just like to "thank" all these special people who do this.

What i don't understand is no one is answering the phones when you call the number.

Hi...I didn't get a call...but I did get the post card,and being in the situation we are in now I was interested...I am glad that I checked the internet first...I am grateful to all ou guys who take the time to let others know when something is a scam!!! You save alot of people alot of heartache!! I don't understand how they get away with these things!!! thanks

OMG!! I just received this official information and I knew it was a scam.  After reading the information front and back I immediately googled G.F. Institute.  I myself having been preparing grants for quite sometime and your right what a joke!!  There is so much research and preperation for grants and nothing is free.

I recently attended some business meetings at the trump towers in NYC.  They were for the Trump University.  It was a financial seminar.  I go to school at Liberty University, and money is indeed hard to come by as a student.  At this seminar, Donald Trump told us that if we paid 1k we could get access to grant writing professionals and all of the above.  I obviously did not pay money to do this, but what I do know as an entrepreneur is that you can figure ways out to make money.  In the United States it is a fact that the Federal Government has a budget for government grants somewhere in the billions of dollars.  I cannot site my source for this number but I do know it is there.  The way to know how to get it is through knowing local, state, and federal laws about certain things.  Basic federal laws such as historic restoration grants have given a person I know over 300 thousand dollars through I believe 6 applications.  The law is that you can receive grant money for a home built before 1934 or the home must be over 65 years of age. There are laws for new businesses.  You can receive enough grants for that as well.  
On the subject of school grants, there are always grants that are specialized to each individual school.  most schools have people who donate to various departments of study at the particular school, so a major in that study may qualify you for a grant.  My Liberty tuition started at 27k  before grants and loans my first year there.  as was my brother who is now in med school.  My brother was VD of his high school class and he got a 20k grant off the bat for his academic excellence, I was not the VD of my class and I got 10k.  I could have gotten a free ride to norfolk state because I am a minority in that city.  They have a student body which is upwards of 95% african american, and being white I could have gotten a free ride.  I chose not to do so because although they are accredited their standards of education and living do not fit what I want for my future, but that is beside the point.  The point is that every person has a chance at different school grants or scholarships based on individual achievement or situation.  
This probably isn't a scam, it could prove to give you these opportunities, but it would be much more intelligent to just to the homework yourself find information about grants through the source itself rather than people who are taking money from you to show you what you can find out for yourself.

i received this letter too and i went right to the ocmputer and they are a scam..thats a shame that people out there wants to hurt us people who are trying to raise there children and make an honest living..so sad

Here we go again.  I got mine today.  Seems like the Government has an endless supply of Christmas ..More like Christmess ...without the Christ part, of course.

bunch of [***] I say!!!What the hell is the matter with some people? Why the need to scam other people who desperately need money???Why not at least scam some rich people who can afford the loss?? (I don't really mean that) These scam artists should have their nuts cut off (I really DO mean that)!

i didn't receive a call but foundthis web site n knew for sure it was no good.anything too good to be true is!can't fool me..if u call that number they get your number on id.don't give them that info.i got the letter in mail...to call for $25,000.00 free grant money(NO WAY)

they want to sell you a vidoe explianing how to apply for these govrnment grants. just like the guy on t.v. in the green money suit on the steps of the capitol.

I, as well received a postcard Jan.9th stating that I had 36 hours to respond. Asked me if I would be willing to purchase their book for only $59. This book is the answers to all your questions it states. Thanks Granny for your advise!

i just recieved the same note.i really need the money, but come on. if you have to pay someone to "find the grant and write it"" why bother? i for one can't afford to do this. is there anyone that can honestly find and write grants? if so i would like to talk to them.

I, too, received a notice to call that number. I could really use that money. What a sad let down. Why not scam the rich??? Companies always seem to hunt down the people who need money, you are right David S. "A bunch of B.S." scammmmm!!!!!!!!!!
