Yes, I just got that letter myself.. I opened it wondering about it and I just saw SCAM written all over it.!. Kinda made me mad. Who are these people who has my full name and address!!?

I received the same letter to call 866-576-9176 for a $25,000 grant.  I called the number to see what it was, reached a recording, they are trying to sell a Grant Guide for a one time fee $59.95 which supposedly shows you how to apply for an obtain government grants.  Great Scam!

got the same post card wanted  59.00 from me @ they would send me my check a bunch of garbage they need to be reported.

yep, got the same letter, no info online.  Not going to call.

I am being harassed with phone calls at my place of work from SEVERAL different numbers...all of them saying they're giving free grant money.  I continue to ask them to take me off of their lists, but they have not done so.  I'm getting calls for everything--home grants, work from home, school grants, etc.  It's extremely annoying and it is a daily occurance.

I got the same card in the mail. It didn't have my name on it but the name of a person who has been using my credit and debit cards to purchase a whole lot of things. I have been fighting for a month to get the charges stopped. Cards have been canceled but I keep getting charges. I think I am part of a bigger scam than most.

Got call from my dad (85 yrs old)in Orlando, that he recieved letter from GF Institute in Kansas that offered to get Govt grants of $25000.00. With no obligation to repay or to give percentage of grants to G.F. Institute as "additional" compensation. I read some of these posts to him, he got the message. Its a scam!

I never applied for a grant.  I will turn the post card I received to the post office.  Anybody that asks for money up front is a scammer.

Got a letter today that I had to call to put in a code number and I would receive my 25000 grant from G.F. Institute Kansas City, Kansas

Letter looks real, has official info stamped on it. What to look for in a scam is a deadline to call them and no real signature. It's too bad for people who really did apply for grants. Shame on you who ever you are!!!!

also just recievd this card. sounded good until I read item 4 on the back then I knew it was a scam. and no I can't find anything but these posts on th internet.

Got the same card in the mail today, this is a scam. if it sounds to good to be true then you can bank on it, it is a rip off

Re: G. F Institute.    We called G.F. Institute and they wanted 59.95 Plus shipping and handleing.  For a book that is suppose to help you get grants from the Government, am turning them into the Post Office as a fraudulant advertisement.

Got that same card.  I figure - they have my name and address already so just go ahead and send me the check.  They don't need my phone # or any other information for me to cash or deposit their $25,000 check!!!!!  Yep, I could sure make use of it and so could my children and grandchildren.  Have a daughter-in-law fighting cancer with all the expense that goes with that and a grand-daughter fighting leukemia and she could use some help. Have at least three in my immediate family with diabetes.  A grand-daughter's father-in-law is apparently dying with cancer.  So many people need financial help - SHAME! SHAME! on those who try to pull off these tricks on people who would like to trust others!!!

Got a Card with "approved"  in red at front..$25000.00.. a number 1-866-576-9176. It had ultimate 36 hours time to call...

Obviously this letter is being sent out to everyone possible.  I totally agree that THIS IS A SCAM!!!  It is true that there are US Grants out there to obtain. There's a lot of work that goes into applying for them though.  The goverment is surely NOT going to pass out money of this amount for FREE.  You can purchase all kinds of LEGIT INFO about Grants and Grant writting at your local bookstore.  You can also research this topic on the internet and purchase info for only $2.00(S/H) from websites APPROVED by the GOVERMENT.  Good Luck!
