calls numerous times a day including early Sunday mornings. leaves no message. if this is Midland Credit's number calling me, then they are trying to collect a debt that was discharged in bankruptcy in 2004.

Because people like you do not do what they are allowed to by law.  First, did you send them a certified, return receipt letter telling them not to call you again?  Did you contact a consumer lawyer and institute an FDCPA and TCPA lawsuit?  Did you file complaints with the CFPB and your state attorney general's office?  Did you read my post on page 23 that tells you everything you need to know and where to learn more?

Doing nothing to help yourself leaves you no right to complain.  Doing what you need to do helps get these criminals put out of business permanently

I get calls from this number practically everyday, sometime multiple. This morning they called at 8 am on a Sunday. I called back, a man with a thick Indian accent came on the line. Told him that I have no business with midland credit and to take my name off the list. He put me on hold and transferred me to a Gerald Kemp VM where I left a long winded message telling them to take my # off the list and that is be contacting the authorities.

Stop! Enough!

Midland/Ebcire - against whom I've filed numerous complaints and finally gotten to stop their harassment, and against whom the CFPB ruled strongly and ordered to cease and desist.... They are back, after numerous rulings, legal orders, and the complaints of thousands of innocent victims of this harassment-focused criminal outfit using phone harassment and legal power to harass and strong-arm.

They'd stopped;, finally, after months of daily calls and dozens of complaints - suddenly re-appearing on the day after Christmas (Saturday) and Sunday morning too. I've no debt, no relationship with Midland nor any creditor they "represent"....  They'd been ordered to stop routine harassment (their business model, along with strong-arm collection tactics and use of ill-begotten, false credit data).
After a brief pause, they seem to come back as the Christmas present from hell. They need to be stopped, and their contempt for consumers, the law, and what's left of the American rights to privacy and freedom from harassment needs to be punished, with jail time for those ordering the continuation of the practices they were specifically ordered to stop. Nothing stops these criminals!

Filing another complaint, after they finally stopped for a few weeks. Now they may be libel for not only the ongoing class action suits which they ignore, but also still larger fines following a ruling which imposed fines and  a cease-and-desist ORDER. Still more fines and  criminal complaints are much needed, to jail those who make harassment a business model, and call it their version of a Christmas visit.

Pure determination to ignore the law -  Arrogance too, ignoring the law big-time, sitting on mountains of lawyers and cash who fight the law and the citizenry's basic rights including freedom from Midland's (false, persistent) harassment.

Report them if you're a victim! Document, complain, and join class action suits if you are eligible. The worst violators of decency in business/consumer historyl  Here's the finding and the order they apparently have decided to continue ignoring:

Record these people when they call have proof than fill a complaint vs them more people have fille a police number and than report them. No your rights vs these scammers and go to a lawyer if nobody does nothing they won't stop people are starting to sue these scammers with there spoof numbers and lieing and scaring people that is not true

Calls several times per week.  Never leaves a voice mail or a return contact number.  I am on the DO NOT CALL list so either they are violating this order; are a scammer, or a collection agency for accounts I do not owe.

Got a call on my cell phone today. How did they get my number? I pay my cell phone by useage, there is no way that I would answer a call from unknown caller. Wish there is a way to stop them to call my cell phone.besides,  I do not have any debts. Why are they calling me?

It keeps calling several times a day and does not leave a message as to who they are or the reason for the call.

Ok liberal writer big daddy does not and will not do you any good. Passing a law only makes YOU feel better and they know that.  Turn lose of a 100.00 dollars and buy a good blocking phone.  I know lets pass a law the government has to GIVE us a blocking phone

depending on your phone - blocking apps are available. Your phone service provider may also offer the option to block calls

Did not know this was a collection agency.  They started calling - never leaves a message, and one time when I answered, someone on the other end laughed.  Whoever it is they're harassing for a debt, it's not me, but I can't keep them on the phone long enough to tell them.

Received 2 calls today from Midland Credit that I let both go to answering machine.  They did the song and dance about...this call is for John Smith, if you are not John Smith please hang up.  They stated that a claim had been issued and to return the call with the claim number..... Both calls were for someone unknown to me.

Indian accent caller using fake sounding name wants to talk to  my wife but will not tell me the reason. Checked number and it turns up as coming from Midland. Our credit is far beyond A++. We will wait for the next call and ask them to sue us.

download an app on your cellphone called "Legal Call Blocker".  I've had this app for a year and have already collected $1500.00 in a case against Verde Energy (telemarketer).  I now have 2 more cases pending against debt collectors for harassing phone calls.  i was skeptical of this app initially, until i was contacted by a law firm to represent me and collected $1500.00 from Verde Energy.
