Last I heard, our elections used a SECRET ballot.  It is no one's business who you voted for.  That is between you and a voting machine!

I too get calls from these morons, and so I assigned their numbers to a specific contact.  I gave it a silent ring, but my phone still speaks the name of every caller.  So I re-named the contact "sehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhx" and now I get a good belly laugh followed by some great fantasies every time they call. Keep 'em comin', boys!

I've gotten calls starting 8/8/14 twice a day everyday.  I do have the # blocked so I will only hear 1 ring.  It is annoying tho.
DNC does not work.

Don't blame the DNC.   The DNC does not cover debt collectors or scammers.  Spells it out on the FTC/DNC site.....

Debt collection asking for personal information but would not say how much debt or the company they our collecting from. APPEARS TO BE A SCAM

This is Midland Credit Corp.  They leave no messages at all.  I have left them messages.  They are trying to collect on a debt that I already explained to them was billed incorrectly.  The doctor's office billed to the wrong insurance so it is their own fault and I am not paying.  If they billed correctly, they would have been paid in full.  I even sent everything to the doc.  Now it is expired per 5 yr statute.  

I don't really know who these people are they keep calling my home number which is activated but never been used.  It shows the number on my tv screen though I don't have an actual phone for the number they are calling.  How do I block this number?

All the blocking tips are great but what about blocking the number on a landline.  ma bell only allows local numbers be blocked not 1800 type numbers or out of area numbers.  My elderly in-laws are getting all these calls for someone they do not know at all times of day and night and its very frustrating, and scary for them when its threatening calls.

This number calls me everyday morning, evening and night. The person does not leave a message and does not identify himself. Has a strange accent, Indian or Arabian.

They've been pestering me too at all hours. Listen y'all, I just found out that credit agencies have been re dating 15yr old debt. Make sure to check credit report every year for free. Everybody gets one, and save ALL previous years reports to prove they are doing it. Blocking: I have a cheap phone, but after the call comes in, go to your log select the number and you should have a block or reject call function. I have had to let it ring long enough to let the phone number appear to write down, bcuz after it just shows unavailable. Hope that helps.

The person calling my number is calling for someone who does not live or has ever lived in my house.  They live/lived in the neighbor. I asked that my phone number is removed from their calling list.  

I moved them into my "spam" folder on my phone so when they call it doesn't ring. Just got another call from them, they won't leave a VM because they don't want anything they say to be recorded.

1 call on 8-17-14, 2 calls on 8-18-14, 4 calls so far on 8-19-14... none answered. new number for me, have not had credit cards in over 10 years.
they are relentless.

They called twice today, have them in my blacklist and it seems they don't like to talk to Lenny... both calls were answered by Lenny and disconnected with ca 10 seconds.

I am on the do not call list and these people will not leave a message so I say don't call my house a lot of good the do not call list does

I've just started getting calls from this number. I don't answer my phone unless I recognize the number period! But I try to find out what telemarketer or charity donation set-up it is. This number means that they are calling me because someone used my number in their financial dealings or whatever! It's not my business. I sometimes remove my telephone cord from my phone when I get at least two calls like this. I also turn off my cell unless I need it. I'm glad they are unable to contact me on my computer while I'm using it, but I fear that is soon to come. Right now they dump their feces into our e-mail boxes, and try to infect us with their viruses! Okay I hope my rantings help someone..Take it easy greasy!

I say 'hello?' (lots of noise)
A man says 'hello' (in an English accent) then silent.
Me: hello?
He: hi, Witchy? (What's that accent? He sounds brown and foreign)
Me: who's calling?
He: Oh mamm, (not ma'am) calls may be monitored or recorded. My name is Marco Fox from MCM. (sounds sort of, well, Irish. maybe.) Am I talking to Witchy Woman? (What a name for a collection agent - Marco Fox. Maybe his mother knew he'd be a con man. Close, I'd say.)
Me: No, but who's MCM, I'll take a message. (I'd like to say, yes, calls WILL be recorded, on my end, too.)
He: Oh, she's not dare now? ('dare' - Irish for there. Such closed end questions - he is a fox. But is he English, an Islander, or what?)
Me: I didn't say she's not here, I said who's MCM?
He: Mamm, it's a personal business matter, so. (now he sounds like an Islander trying to sound something else.)
Me: Ok, so,
He: Do you know what time she'll be dare ("be Irish? He doesn't look Irish, from the mental image I'm getting. He looks slender, dark brown, with brown eyes and straight black hair. He's not Irish, but has managed to pick up a few words.)
Me: Uh, if you leave a number, I will ...
He: No, inaudible, inaudible. Thank you. Bye. (lots of noise again. He's not Irish, not English, hmm. I can't wait for him to call back. This time I'll ask the questions.)

Next Call: (waiting, rubbing hands together, grinning)
Me: Hello, Ms. Fox here, as in, Sly Fox. How may I help you? Do you have an identity disorder? Perhaps some self-loathing because of your heritage? Or your line of work? I can help you! ..... LOL
