    annoyed as He!!
    Same as everyone else ...
I dont pick up unless I know the #.
I block the call(s) on my iPhone - unfortunately I have to pay for the service from my carrier - but its worth the few extra $$$ to not have to deal with them.  They never listen - so I dont waste my time - but I do love how creative some people are on here - on how to play with them ... LOL ...

You can go out on google search if your phone has that capability and search for MR Number.  It is a free app.  When they call just go click on MrNumber and it will pull your call log up.  When your call log comes up click on the number and then a little circle with a line in it and it will ask you if you want to block the number...click on yes and done and the number will be blocked for you.

I hope you recorded that message or conversation.  Such threat calls are worth up to $1000 a piece in court.  Threats are a violation of laws governing collection activities.  I personally know of a man who got more from the collector than he owned the collection agency by recording each and every violation call.

The only time they can actually have you arrested (and this varies by state) is when you have a mandated court appearance in a judgment debtor examination, and you don't show up.  But, you have to have been sued and a judgment first obtained by them, and they generally have to issue the summons from a district court fairly local to you.

I just called them to take my number off their list. Off course they needed my phone number. I told them that they are scam and scum and told them i wasn't going to give them anything. hung up then added them to my contact list and blocked them to go straight to voice mail. They need to stop harassing people and get a life. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION!!!!!!!

There is an Android app called call control. You can manually add numbers to block. What I like best about it is the "community" block list. Users can report a caller such as these scum. Then you can choose to not only block the calls you added manually but also any in the community block list. I get calls blocked all the time. If I don't recognize a number that doesn't get blocked then I don't answer and Google it. Then I find a page like this and not only block it but report it to call control community as well.

Is not that they're like many other low life debt collectors out there, these guys actually are among the more professional debt collectors - hard to believe, isn't it? However because they buy leads and debt in bulk, they acquire old and statute expired debt, right along with legitimate ones. Unfortunately is not going to help their bottom line to try to figure which is which, so they go after all of them.  It gets nasty when they work an account for a while and there is no pay off.  At that point for all their grand standings, their agents act no different that any other low life debt collector. And no - they will not listen to any arguments about the debt is old, paid off, or not yours. All they want is some money (10 to 30 cents on the dollar) so they can get the supervisors off their back and maybe get a bonus. This company is a big one so they know how to get around federal rules. If you want to get them off of you, go through your state's authorities.

Exactly. I sent them a cease and desist letter 7 weeks ago. Today they called me for the first time since then. I did not answer and immediately googled the number, which led me here. They have now violated the FDCPA. Next time they call, I will record the conversation, and sue their stupid a$$es in court. I suppose I could take legal action now, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt that they called me in error. Next time, the gloves will be off!

Did you send it so that they would have to sign for it?  If not, they will simply say it was lost in the mail.  All communications of this sort should be sent either Certified US mail, return receipt, Priority Mail Signature confirmation, or Express mail.  If you did and have the proof they received it, pleas check this web site out before recording them for the laws in your state.

If you are going to court with them, be sure all your i's are dotted and your t's are crossed.  Good Luck!

I just got a call from this number.  They identified themselves as a collection agency and said they were calling about a delinquent CCD that I don't have and have never owned.  The woman then wanted to verify the last 4 digits of my social.  She said she could give them to me if I preferred.  Surprise...they were not mine.  At least I didn't say, "no my numbers are...".  Beware, very tricky scammers out there!  Also a big surprise when I asked who I should call to report this on my end, she said there was no need and my number would be taken off the list.  BTW, this went to my cell phone.
