just call and don't leave a message, not sure how to block the number. I get alot of strange phone numbers calling. I look them up here to get a idea on who they are so far what I read on them here is helpful. wish we can stop them

I have owned this cell phone number for at least 6 years.  Whoever had it before me must have had some credit problems.  I used to get frequent collection calls, mostly for medical collections.  After this many years I still get calls.  I no longer ans any call who I don't recognize.  If they don't have the honesty to leave a message they don't get to talk to me.

Called my cell, left no msg

Caller verifys last 4 numbers of SS # then says he will connect me with a party that is "holding for me".  I disconnected - this call has been coming in on my cell phone which I never give that number to anyone.

This is the second time this number has called 866-580-4810.  They never leave a message.  I don't answer numbers I am not familiar with.  Too may wacky people out there :)

Just received a call on my cell from this number, didn't answer & no message was left. Glad I didn't answer according to all other comments. I don't know why they are calling but my cell allows me to block calls & this number will be blocked.

Worst accent ever !!! "All I could understand was: "ees asset..." something or another. Figured it was not a good friend and told them where to shove it.

I haven't answered because I looked on this page first. Glad I didn't! I think it's ridiculous that they keep calling at all hours without leaving a message. Why haven't they been shut down if the FTC knows about them? I don't know if this is a coincidence or not, but I started getting these calls after answering a phone survey about my experience at a Ford dealership auto repair place.

Just received a call from this number - on my cell phone. Definitely a collection agency - and I have got calls from this number before. The last time the caller had a very distinct Indian accent. I added the number to my Reject List - so it just shows up in the Caller ID display when they call...

I live debt free - and have only AMEX and Visa credit cards. Both with ~zero~ balances. Pay cash whenever possible to avoid carrying a balance...

There NO REASON for any collection agency to be calling me!

These xxx-holes are more than likely on a fishing expedition, going down a list of names the same as or similar to the person they're looking for - hoping maybe to find the intended person...

I know this for a fact - worked my way thru college doing that kind of dirty work for a sleeze bag collection agency based in Chicago - bunch of bottom feedeing scum they were! I didn't shed a tear when they were closed down!

I was just denied credit from my bank because these people are on my credit report...  Only negative item in my otherwise clean record...  They say I owe them over $2,000 for Protection One. This is still my alarm company in my home and business...  My rep tried to find out and P1 shows I owe them nothing.  My balance in 2008 was waved because they could not give me monitoring service (the system was mine from Devcon, P1 was only doing the monitoring) because we had no phone line land...  
These people accelerated the 2 year contract and say I owe them. I disputed it with the Credit Bureaus and after 45 days I was told they "Verified" the debt.  Yet I never received anything in writing nor any communication from Asset Acceptance...
How can I get them to remove the negative reports fro all 3 Credit Bureaus???

These people have called my son's cell phone several times. He's fourteen and hasn't even given his cell number to his best friend. The people at this number are phishing, no doubt in my mind. Because of people like this, I had to teach my son not to answer calls from unfamiliar numbers.

You people need to realize, even if your on the do not call list they got the number some how for some reason. The do not call list is for product promotion/surveys/etc. Debt Collectors don't count toward that list.

It's very possible this is a call from a phone lookup company !!!  Is that not why we are on this site ???

I have received calls from this number and can not get them to stop.

My cell number belonged to someone several years ago who apparently skipped out on some debts. About every six months I get a volley of calls asking for Raoul or a similar name. My theory is that the low end collection agencies pass these accounts around and just start calling any numbers they have on file.

I suspect if you could check the history of a given phone number, it may have once belonged to someone else who is in a collection database. There is also the case where someone applying for credit gives a wrong number,

I receive at least two calls from this number per day. I never answer them, as I do not recognize the number, and the only person who should know this number is my husband, as it is brand-new.  It makes me angry that this should be legal, as I do not have any debt anywhere and neither does anyone in my family, and it is super-annoying.

number called me. I didnt answer and they left no message, two minutes later they call my dads phone looking for me. crazy

yah...i got this called like several times a day for a few weeks... i finally called and told the girl that i was not the person they were trying to get in touch with. she just had me verify my number and said she'd take me the list. i havent gotten a call from the number since!
