They keep calling and never leave a message. Ive never answered.

These joker's keep calling my cell phone, not a new number either! I don't answer it on my cell, but I called back with my house phone.  These joker's are in India and horrible, horrible accents, too thick to understand.  He asked me why I'm calling them and I said because your calling my cell phone and I'm calling back to harrass you!!!  Sure beats having to pay a therapist, I take out all my frustrations on them since they are calling to harrass me!

called me today. trying to reach the person who had number before me. i told them if they are a for real business than they should already have the info they ask for. they hung up. if people that had this number before me don't pay their bills NOT my problem. everyone knows how often cell phone numbers change.

If you can get an untainted phone number these days you are lucky. I wish since most number calling is not by punching all the digits these days, that phone numbers would go to 20 digits or more and free up a lot of fresh phone numbers to be allocated. That would also cut down on the robot calls since there would be less of a chance it would pick your your number.

Yep, and phone numbers should be changed to twice as many digits, that would put lots of new untainted numbers to be allocated to new phones, and cut down on the number of times a robot pulls your number out of a hat.

Just more of the same.  I put them all on my rejected call list and never answer a number I don't know.

For almost a year, I've been getting calls on my cell phone for someone I've never heard of, named Eugene Jacobs. I get a flurry of them from different numbers a the beginning of the month, and the people are generally hateful and rude if I pick up. I block them all, but the next month they just call from another set of numbers. There is no stopping these people. I've had this number for 12 years, so it's not someone who used to have this number. There seems to be no way to stop and calls and no recourse.

A family member had this problem and changed  her number and the new number just got calls for someone else she's never hear of. It's going to take an act of congress (literally) to stop this.

People, please start contacting your state and national lawmakers and bug them to do something. The state attorneys general are getting nowhere with this abuse.

I got a call from these clowns tonight asking for the person that had my cell number before me.  They said they had a collect overseas call for me and I needed to confirm the last four of my SSN.  Have no idea who they are but based on everyone else's posts I would say that it is a bottom feeder collections agency.  I got this new cell number about a month ago and I would estimate that half of my calls are collections calls for the person that had my number before me.  Thanks Karen Altland. (that is who all these callers keep asking for)

Received 3 calls from this number at 10:07 am this morning and again at 10:08 and 5 more at 10:09 and 2 more at 10:10.  I have no debts thanks to Dave Ramsey and Financial Peace University.  How they got my cell number I will never know and not only that, they don't leave messages

Debt Collector. Non stop calls

This number called me 6 times in a row yesterday

All within 2 seconds

They are calling because you have a bill in collections. They want to take over the debt for half the price, if you can come up with the lump sum payment

Received the call asking for my daughter. Odd part he called my cell phone.  I pretended to be my daughter and he wanted me to confirm my last 4 digits of my ss#.  I actually knew her ss.  I told him no that was not my ss#. He trend me a few times saying this was a recorded line. blah blah .. because that what I can understand, from him.   I told him he can record me all he wants that was not my ss!!

Please not call my cell phone number.  I am very ill and keep getting
calls.  If necessary I will give you the name of my present attorney.
I don't work and am surviving literally.  I probably won't be able to return
to work.  I have had nine mini strokes and we're warding off the major one
with medication. I can't handle physically anymore stress. Thank you.

Keeps calling my phone once or twice a week.  When I answer I get dead air and then they hang up.
