Today on 01/14/20, Received this call, why and what they want....?

I tried to turn one in to FBI - they explained they could not trace the number I supplied because they use VOIP and just program in a valid number - since it is over they internet there is no way to trace.

spectrum blocked the call after 1 ring which is a sign of a robo-caller and or scammer. call id read walmart credit.

Just had a call from this number on my cell - it came in as "unknown", but having read through the other comments here, I figure I might know how they got my number. I just switched from AT&T Uverse to DirectTV (also AT&T). With that switch I'm supposed to get a $225 Walmart gift card. I'm guessing if it's a SPAM call, they somehow found out I switched and am getting the gift card, so used that name to get me to answer. I also went to a Walmart for the first time in my personal history that same day, so perhaps my cell gave my location away and they somehow picked up on it? Just a thought!

This number just called me. I didn't answer, no message left. Judging by all the postings here, it's a SCAM/SPAM call.

7:15 AM.  The constant phone ringing from robo-dialers is making me very stressed.

VM: robo credit card scam.

When they called me and said that I owed  more than $7,000 to my Walmart account, which I don’t have I kept pressing 0 until a live person with an Indian accent answered. He gave me a e-mail of abuseatcapitalone.com to lodge a complaint.

You cannot prove that they received email or that someone read it.  However if you send a letter, certified, return receipt you can prove that they received it and it most likely will be noticed and read since they had to sign for it.  If you choose not to do that, then I wish you good luck with the email.

scam.  I blocked this number months ago

I didn`t recognize the number so I didn`t answer it. Then looked it up and its about credit cards ,I thought it was funny and disgusting at the same time ,Since I havent had a credit card since 2006.And can`t even qualify for one.

866-611-1148 unknown caller. Never answer or call back unknowns. Googled showed many complaints over the years of credit card rate scam callers trawling for the gullible. Added to call block list.

Caller ID stated: 01/24/20, 10:19 AM, unknown, 866-611-1148. Answered call and a female robo said, "Hello this is your final notice from Card Member Services to get your interest rate reduced to zero percent on your credit cards you've been pre-approved is a valued customer and eligible for debt in interest rate reduction on your existing credit card to speak to a live representative please press one now." I called the number back and it is for a Walmart credit card. Last week these thieves called as Citi Corp. They can't fund their tolls and fake news without funding from the unsuspecting. This scammer has been written about since Oct. 2, 2014 and nothing has been done. Last weeks was since 2007.

Caller ID:  "Walmartcard."  Scam - when I answered it was just dead air and then that long, loud hang up that is usually either a spoofed Voip or an overseas boiler room.

Comes up as Robocall. Blocked.
