    Emma, you are the one who needs to grow up!!! These are very unethical people. They have not bothered to call me are send me a notice of my rights they went straight to my employer demanding that they garnish my wages for an "already paid in full " student loan. A they did this in the name of the government. This is what as known as a White-Collar Crime!!!! So, before you go defending these crimminals you need to do some research. I will be looking for all of those they have actual took money from illegally claiming that their student loan was never paid off.

    Here's your chance Emma, to defend the victims spread this inform. If you are a victim of Premiere and ECMC post your claim here along with contact info an attorney will contact you to send you some paperwork to include you in this class action suit.

    I am contacting my attorney today regarding Premier Credit.  Since 2/10/12 I have have been receiving harassing phone calls 3-4 times per day on my cell phone, medical practice phone, and home regarding an unpaid adjustment to my 2010 Indiana income tax return.   Being reluctant to give out any personal information they confirmed my social security number but had the wrong mailing address.  I advised them that they need to turn this back over to the department of revenue as I have never received a single notification from anyone until the calls started.  They become verbally hostile and myself angrier by the minute.  They were advised that there will be no further phone exchanges until I receive  information about this bill in writing.  I will not have my credit ruined by the State and this company's errors.  Their representative was one of the most insulting individuals I have ever spoken with even when shown their mistake.  I am grateful they recorded the conversation  for my attorney to hear.

    My dad who is 83, received a call from this number, 866-618-1060 X 267, and they left a message on his answering machine.

    He was so upset because they said they were the IRS and that I owed taxes and something else about filling prescriptions on my Income Tax Return that wasn't allowed.

    This message caused a big family argument as I pay my taxes and knew I didn't owe anything, but my elderly father thought I was going to jail from the message they left.

    It would be nice if you could sue companies like this who are being dishonest about who they are and what they are calling about, not to mention the mental toll it takes.

    This company is a group of strong arm criminals, They froze my bank acocunt and I was never contacted by anyone personally, I received several automated calls that stated "this is an attempt to collect a debt" NO OTHER INFORMATION WAS RECEIVED BY ME. When I contacted the "company" they gave me their standard run around, finally when I did speak to someone, they told me they had been hired by the state of Indiana to collect some back taxes that I DO owe.  They lied and told me they had mailed me several letters, WRONG !  What happened was when the state of Indiana gave them my information, they found my bank acocunt through their data base, froze my acocunt, and have done nothing but lie to me since, They sent the State of Indiana a sum of money I had in the bank and forced me to make an agreement with them that I know I can not keep. They also forced me to give them my bank routing number and account number before they would make any steps to un freeze my account, which has not been done yet and it has been two weeks since they have confiscated the funds in my acocunt. I have contacted the State of Indiana tax division and the state attorney generals office, of which I have downloaded the forms to file a complaint. These liers and thugs need to answer for their actions. Collecting a debt is one thing, forcing someone to give up bank acocunt numbers is not legal. I will be speaking with an attorney about this.

So why was I called to pay tax in a state I've never lived in. They asked for my bank info but no way was I going to give it to them. I tell you what you pay them the $232,569.69. they say I owe.

    VIA CERTIFIED MAIL

    Dear {insert name of collector or company},

    I am writing in response to your (letter or phone call) dated {insert date}, (copy enclosed) because I do not believe I owe what you say I owe.

    This is the first I've heard from you, or any other company on this matter therefore, in accordance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Section 809(b): Validating Debts:

    (b) If the consumer notifies the debt collector in writing within the thirty-day period described in subsection (a) that the debt, or any portion thereof, is disputed, or that the consumer requests the name and address of the original creditor, the debt collector shall cease collection of the debt, or any disputed portion thereof, until the debt collector obtains verification of the debt or any copy of a judgment, or the name and address of the original creditor, and a copy of such verification or judgment, or name and address of the original creditor, is mailed to the consumer by the debt collector.

    I respectfully request that you provide me with the following information:

    (1) the amount of the debt;
    (2) the name of the creditor to whom the debt is owed;
    (3) Provide a verification or copy of any judgment (if applicable);
    (4) Proof that you are licensed to collect debts in (insert name of your state)
    Be advised that I am fully aware of my rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act. For instance, I know that:

    Because I have disputed this debt in writing within 30 days of receipt of your dunning notice, you must obtain verification of the debt or a copy of the judgment against me and mail these items to me at your expense.

    You cannot add interest or fees except those allowed by the original contract or state law.
    you do not have to respond to this dispute but if you do, any attempt to collect this debt without validating it, violates the FDCPA.

    Also be advised that I am keeping very accurate records of all correspondence from you and your company including recording all phone calls and I will not hesitate to report violations of the law to my State Attorney General, the Federal Trade Commission and the Better Business Bureau.

    I have disputed this debt; therefore, until validated you know your information concerning this debt is inaccurate. Thus, if you have already reported this debt to any credit-reporting agency (CRA) or Credit Bureau (CB) then, you must immediately inform them of my dispute with this debt. Reporting information that you know to be inaccurate or failing to report information correctly violates the Fair Credit Reporting Act § 1681s-2. Should you pursue a judgment without validating this debt, I will inform the judge and request the case be dismissed based on your failure to comply with the FDCPA.

    Finally, if you do not own this debt, I demand that you immediately send a copy of this dispute letter to the original creditor so they are also aware of my dispute with this debt.

    First of all, if this was a real matter to do with taxes OF ANY TYPE, they would send you notification by certified mail first, not hire a collection agency to call and harass you.  That is how we know it is a scam and Emma there you probably work for them- don't talk about "clearing up your debt" when if this was real debt they would follow protocol.

    I checked this number out with AT&T and also Googled it.  Every time you answer a call from this number or if you initiate a call to this number YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR IT!  The longer they keep you on the line, the more they get paid...BY YOU!

    Report it! Dispute it with your phone service provider.  Don't let these [***] get away with it.  It's probably the Obama administration sticking it to the American people?
