The caller said that my SS# and my name (my previous married name). She said that it was a courtisy call and that I would be getting a summons at my house and my work. Told me to have my ID ready. She spoke so fast that it was very hard to get the call back number, but on caller ID it said : NO CALLER ID. It was very odd that they used my previous name, since I didn't get my number until after my name was changed.

I also go this message yesterday.  Scared me to death!  I couldnt figure out what I might thave done haha.  But seriously, this is ridiculous.  The guy on the message, John Parker, was a smug jerk too.  So rude.  Something has got to be done about this.

Got a call from a Cary Miller saying a claim had been filed and if no response she was coming to my home or poe and she would serve me papers , stated to have my Id ready.

Same message investigator Sandra cox, or, fill in the blank for unnamed county for legal matter attached to your name/soc security number courtesy call before sending someone to home or business.
 Tells, she stumbled on script while reading it, rushed, mumbled took 15 list endings to get phone number,
Oh and I don't work, haven't for ten years on soc security, did not bother to call back. Looked here same [***] different day lol

I did the same thing, they called me on a partially unpaid pay day loan from 2004, but I recieved the same call from another attorney in 2009 and I paid it. I called Advanced America and they told me the money was not paid and gave me the agency's number that my account was sent to.

I just got an unavailable call. I usually ignore them but I was waiting on another call so I answered. I also had 2 other calls from out of state I didn't answer. The lady was from some legal service supposedly and said to csall 866-676-2418 to get more information. She also gave me a 6 digit claim number to reference when calling. She asked if I still lived at an address that I haven't lived at in over a year and said 'oh because we sent a notice to that address'. My mail still gets forwarded from the old address and I didn't receive anything. I tthought the whole thing sounded shady because she shouldn't call just to tell me to call another number. So I immediately typed the number she gave me to call in google and found this site. I had something similar happen to me a few years ago as what some of the others posted. A man calling saying they were gonna come to my door with a warrant if I didn't buy a pre paid debit card and give them the numbers with a certain amount of cash on it. Needless to say, I was never served a warrant.  Its all a scam.

Just received the same call. Have I.d. ready blah blah... Concerned because earlier I'd completed some online forms concerning a credit card. Wonder if it's related as far as how they got my info? I hope not.

I just got a call and it appeared as NO CALLER ID on my phone, but they left a message.

Then this woman rambled on about 2 charges being filed in Travis County and something about being at "Venita's" place of employment or residence with 2 forms of ID and to not call the person who filed without talking with this woman first. Really weird.

Always note that debt is not a crime. You cannot be arrested for not paying a bill. I can't believe these people are still saying this stuff.

Got this same call. Initially comes up unknown. Basically same script as earlier posters. I ask for her to leave it on my voicemail. This was the number 866 676 2418. Acted like they wanted a payment and told them I dont do card numbers over the phone. Was supposed to email the documents to me as requested, have yet to see them. Called local police and they stated this is an epicdemic and happening all the time. DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY CARD NUMBERS OR BANK INFORMATION TO THIS COMPANY WHATSOEVER!

Got the following message on my phone:

"This message is solely intended to reach one of Cassandra Fleming. Miss Fleming this is investigator Harper contacting you regards to a complaint filed against your name here within the Clark County Prosecutor’s office. We've decided to serve you Tuesday between the hours of four and seven. We are requesting that you have one piece of government issued identification available upon arrival for service purposes. If you wish to amend any information because the allegations filed are incorrect it’s necessary that you contact the plaintiff's office directly 8666762418. Reference to case 299729."

I've been getting debt collection calls for this Cassandra Fleming for 5 years and have contacted these numbers numerous times and can't seem to convince anyone that this person can no longer be reached at this number.

This person led me to believe that they were from the County Prosecutor and as it turns out it was just a deceptive ploy by an unscrupulous collection agency or scam artist!

Received several calls from this company (which doesn't state their name) saying I owe money and I will be served a summons between 4-7 pm on Friday (November 8) and to have ID ready.  Said to call 1-866-676-2418 to discuss further.  Total scam!

I too got a phone call wanting money

Greeting is "Check and Credit Reporting Incorporated." Seems to be a bill collector.

I called and they didn't answer and wouldn't let me leave a message so they can't be that worried about it, whatever it is. The message they leave is scary, but not inaccurate. I've gotten letter before saying someone I owe money to is taking me to court and If I want to fight it I need to send a letter showing I have reason to dispute the claim or show up to court on such and such a date. So what they say is technically true (assuming you do owe a debt to someone) they just omitted the unscary stuff. A new tactic and probably very effective for them.

Two things make me think this make me think this is a scam: 1) They don't say what it's in regards to, just that it's "a legal document" which could be anything. I've never been served papers in person but I have had bill collectors contact me before, and they almost always say at least "This is in an attempt to resolve a debt." or something to that effect. 2) Legit bill collectors are armed to the teeth with people willing to take your money so the fact that no one answered AND I can't leave a message is fishy to me.
