i would like to let you i was loosing service on my phone.

Got an email saying to call this number... did the over the phone 5 minute interview and got an email four days after saying that want to schedule an interview at a local store so I called the number they gave me in the email and the automated system tells me I'm not being considered for employment.... so what's up with the email they sent then?

You say you turned your application at HR. Did you go to the store to do that, and if, was there someone who told where to go?

I have received the same message twice.  It gives me a number, but when I call, it says "good bye."

 Good number, Home Depot Personnel.  They save applications 180 Days, according to customer service.
Very easy to forget where we applied six months ago

I am trying to get the status of my application I did on line a few days ago.

Home Depot called me but I missed the call this morning, 06/13/2013.  They also e-mailed me an on-line phone interview w/this number 866-698-4347.  They are having difficulties connecting me for the on-line interview can anyone help call me back fron the Retail Staffing Center? I am home and will answer promptly.

It's unlikely you'll be working anywhere if you don't actually contact the people from whom you are seeking employment!  Why are you asking the 800notes.com readers to contact you?  Also, do you think we all have ESP to know how to contact you even if we wanted to?

I have a message from the Home Depot Retail Staffing Center regarding my application for employment.
I never received a call from Home Depot but i called the number 866-698-4347 and no one answered. My confirmation number is 104599629. What's next please?!

You need to contact Home depo itself! This forum is just for reporting who calls you from a given number..  so people here can't really help you with this since it isn't home depo..

I applied online, then rcvd the email re my application with the pre screening number to call. Called in and went through the automated questions inc giving last 6 of my ss number so my app could be located in the first place. Once done it switched to a real agent who asked further basic questions and ran through the usual company speil, again I had to give and verify my ss number to match details. She set up my interview for 2 days later on that call.
That was all 1 week ago, so I called the email number as above 866 698 4347 to check for any updates. Gave my details as requested to the auto system, then ignored the options and hit zero. Once an agent picked up I gave them the ref number supplied by the interview email and asked for any update? Nothing to report but I know they are filling a ton of roles and appreciate I will have to wait, but if in doubt don't hesitate to call the employment centre number and ask? They don't mind checking and are really helpful. Fingers crossed for any of you with pending apps, and for me :^). Il just keep checking every few days until I know it's either yes or no?
Don't be concerned about the ss thing or the order in which the agent goes over things on your call, mine repeated herself several times and started reading me the wrong script, don't sweat it.......if you want the ub you gotta do these things?

I also really don't think asking home depot to contact you from this forum will work.........this is for people reporting unknown contact numbers........not job stuff!
If in doubt and you applied at home depot, call the number back........at least that way your sure, and your in ontrol?

Callers need to pay attention to how they are dialing the Home Depot HR number.  We get people calling us every day all day asking about their applications.  We're a totally different company that happens to have a similar toll free number.  8 6 6 - 6 9 8 - 4 3 4 7.  This is the number callers need to dial!

I just called the home depot hr number and it said my application had expired..I just did it last week..what do you have to do to get a job..feeling frustrated....

Home Depot recently (November, 2013) changed their online application process
I found out when I tried to access an old account without success-

So - I went ahead and resubmitted an account, the application and an assessment (shorter than the older one) and my client got a call for an interview!

You can definitely call them (many of my folks have missed the calls or hung up on them!)

They will use your SS# (if you don't have the number they assigned to you) to check status of your application- and connect you to the phone interview if appropriate.
