I woke up this morning to find that I had a negative balance on my bank account. Turns out that this so called Apple company wiped my funds clean. Now I am being forced to close my account and get a new card, which is a pain since I have to call all my companies that have my card number and change it. What a headache. I am so frustrated that people can get away with this and it only hurts the people that are affected. Not cool! So definitely will keep an eye out for these charges again! Hopefully wont happen.

How did you find out that they're leasing the number from AT&T? I filed a complaint with the FCC as it appears that tracing the owners of this number would be the best way to bust them. I was lucky, I spotted the fake $50 charge the same day it appeared on my checking account, and cancelled the debit card immediately.

I tried contacting Itunes and they didn't seem to care. I dont know how itunes hasn't stepped up to the plate to try and stop this. they obviously don't care. Also I tried contacting the FBI but all they said was "talk to your bank" after i told them that hundreds and maybe thousands of people have been stolen from. My bank was the only ones that seemed to care. Somebody should contact the media so they can pressure these agencies to do something about all of this.

Can't anyone catch these SOB's so we can all take one swing at them with a dull axe? The FBI is as powerless as any law enforcement agency. I say we take this matter into our own hands! Vigilantes unite!!!

I don't know about the rest of you, but I actually do make purchases through iTunes, and the SAME number is listed on my bank accounts for the legitimate purchases. I cross checked all the dates, and it is indeed legitimate.

However, today I have three charges I did NOT make for $20.00 apiece.

But for everyone saying the number is not Apple's, why then does it show up on my legitimate purchases as well?

ok the num 8667127753 charged me twice 9.99 i looked for it on itunes thinking it was a serial code . nada happened so i Google the num and this site pops upp now that i realize this is a total scam im going st8 to the bank good thing it was a low num when i caught it !

I couldn't believe when my account was over drafted! It seems that this infinite loop had taken out of my account over $ 300.00 in one month and I don't know why! This month they have taken out 4or 5 more times! What the hell can I do about this??? Does anyone know?? I need some freakin help!!!

My latest Visa bill had two charges on it from APL*APPLE ITUNES STORE 866-712-7753 CA.  One was for $27.61 on 7/10/2012 and the other for $28.68 on 7/10/2012.  Called my VISA card and they pointed out there was another one in January for $35.05 which I somehow missed.  They canceled the card and issued a new one.    

I never had an Apple store account or any Apple products.  If anyone knows how they are getting our c/c numbers, please share.

They are charging amounts of $20.00 and $1.00 to my bank account from that number so fare $43.00, I call to find out the charges and the number has a machine sending you to the www.apple.com/support/cc , but what happen when you don't even have an IPhone to use Itunes?? all in one day!!

I tired purchasing some favor points for Castle Age game app on 9/1 and I never received the points.  Today I noticed a charge on my CC ($44.99) and still no extra points.  I tried calling 866-712-7753 and I got a message from "iTunes" to go to their website.  I right way did a search online and I found this website.  I then immediately called my bank and they are doing an investigation.  Urg...

How can people get away with this???????????????

Thanks to all who have posted here.  This scam hit my account too.  It first hit at $21 and change, which my bank declined.  It then hit at $63.74, which posted to my account.  Posted as:  "APL*APPLE ITUNES STORE" followed by "866-712-7753, CA 950140000 US."  I cancelled the card immediately, and reported the fraud to the bank.  It is amazing that this scam has carried on for so long.  My guess is that this scam benefits from those who pass over the relatively low charges as insignificant, and thus do not dispute same.
