- Jerome-Leona Ness| 1 replyReceiving several calls a day and I am really tired of this.
- LisaConstantly calls my house phone and my cell phone - no reply when I answered. Please STOP calling me!!!!!!
- PortJust received this call, but I missed it. No voicemail. I do have a Amazon.com store card, however it is up to date and I've never been late with it.
- JezGot a recorded message from this number asking me to call back. When I did it asked me for my social security and card details. No way I'm giving that out to a number I don't recognize!! I called Amazon Store Card (which I have never been late or behind with) on their regular customer service number, 1-866-634-8379, and they told me that they have no record of any communication attempt on their side.

- Diane M replies to cpIf only they would. I have been receiving calls for a person who previously had my phone number for 7 years now. It has nothing to do with me and nothing I say to these people makes them stop. If you have all the answers, please do share them.
- PeejI just started getting calls to my cell number, which has never been published. I don't pick up and they leave no message. I wonder if this is some blanket spoof Caller ID number, given all the different possibilities listed above.
- Neli TenaReceived four phone calls on home phone and cell phone in two days. No messages left. Called at 8am on the weekend.
- Tick Off!The calls originated from the GE Consumer Credit Credit Card Collection group with regards to my Amazon Card. It's an automated system which placed calls to my cells and home 5-6 times a day, regardless of the time of day! This was crazy. It's a recording that asked me if I am the person in question, and to enter the last 4 digits of my social security number to confirm my identity. Are the people at GE so stupid?! What?! Will I be receiving calls from strange benefactors in Nigeria next? Quit trying to save money and have real people call me, GE idiots. I'm not going to give vital info over the phone, esp to a voice system. Have the common sense to have a real live person talk to me. As it turned out my account was 2 months past due because my bank automatic payments did not go through. I've straighten that out with Amazon and got the fee waived, but the when I called GE to tell them about there "unique" way they have of contacting the customer, the rep replied in a matter-of-fact tone that this was GE's practice to get the clients to pay. Well, GE, you suck! Whatever promotion I got through Amazon for using the card is not worth it. I'll be paying that account off in full now. And I'll be looking for my other GE credit cards and cancelling them as well.
- Call type: Debt collector
- farmormorIf this is a debt collector they are wrong calling my number since I owe nothing to nobody.
- John Rugg replies to M Oman| 1 replyTo All Who Are Fed-Up With These Automated Calls.
I've been tracking these Toll-Free hang-up calls for probably 2 years now. My hunch is that these most likely originate from varios collection agencies, of which National Action Financial is one.
I also think that I may have found a way to stop these F'in calls that I'd like to share with anyone that wants to try it out.
What I found was that if 1). If you're able to pick up the call right away (Probably within even the first ring or two), 2.) Don't say anything whatsoever!!! Just hang it up right away!!! If you say anything at all, that computer knows now that you're home or that it's established contact and even when you now hang it up, it knows that it can now make contact with you in the future. Your best bet is to literally be right ontop of it so you can JUST PICK-UP & HANG-UP!!! Otherwise, you're remaining best defense is to simply turn your answering machine so that it will just "ring-out their welcome" Eventually, the computer will give-up on the call.
See technically, and perhaps convieniently extracted from the 19th Amendment, merchants have succeeded in establishing that the blocking of toll-free numbers violates the 19th Amendment - "The right to engage & conduct Interstate Commerce, Merchants were able to prevail in preventing the general public from being able to block toll-free callers (800, 877, 866, etc.). However, non-tollfree exchanges can be set-up to be blocked (Referred to as call screening.) by first dialing *60, or the code setup by your company, and following i'ts prompts. I'm not sure if this will work with all phone compan-ies but it should work for most all. JUST A NOTE: Signing up on the "Do Not Call List" will not stop these calls!!! You literally have to out smart these automated systems. At one point I would get up to
15 of these calls a day. Another source of these robo-calls originates from internet usage. You'll notice an increase in contacts if you offer that information up while being on-line.

J Rugg - President - LKThis number does not originate from Amazon.com as several others here have claimed, and I don't think it actually originates from GE Money, either. This number called my cell 4 times in one day when I answered the fourth call, the caller told me I owed $40 for an Amazon.com purchase several months ago, and unsuccessfully tried to get me to give him my ss#, credit card #, and Amazon.com account #. I contacted Amazon.com and was told that I did not owe money and that this phone call was not legitimate, and that Amazon.com never requests personal info. over the phone or makes collection calls.
- Caller: claimed to be GE Money
- Call type: Debt collector
- Patti| 1 replyThey have been calling three to four times a day. They don't leave a message and ask you to hold for an important message. I am on the do not call list so I should not be receiving any calls from them especially on my cell phone.
- Caller: Amazon Credit Services
- micheleI received a phone call from a guy who didn't know my name at first then repeated it. He sounded from india and he said my GE account was past due. I checked my auto payments nad it was already paid
- Caller: GE Payments
- Call type: Debt collector
- AnnoyedThey have called 10 times in 24 hours and left only one voicemail which was a recorded message to check out their website or call them back. I answered the phone once and it was an automated message asking for personal information. I just hung up the phone and plan on blocking their number
- Caller: Amazon GE
- KellyCalls several times a day, early calls that wake us up late calls that wake us up. We are not behind on any bills, reading on here that it is about collection. Very annoying and aggravating. Please make it stop.
