- KevinJust got a text message from this number that said "I'm on my way." So I'm assuming it's also being spoofed or Amazon is on their way to my house!

- Monica replies to John S. Rugg - Moneyaddvocates.comJohn, the call is from Amazon and they are a first party collector so a letter referencing the FDCPA will NOT work,
- RavenMad+1 (866) 771-1104 Called stating to call them back about an urgent billing issue. After reading about this number my wife and I decided to conference call them back. Took some time to get past the prompts wanting a card or account number. Talked to a very nice man with a strong India accent. He asked if a woman (by name) was attached to my phone number? We knew who she was but did not tell him (she was a coworker many many years ago) with a number close to ours. He said he would take my number off the account and ended the call. What had happened was they fat fingered the number as mine ends in 1 and this persons number ends in 4 which are right next to each other on the keypad. I would always research the number calling you first, be nice if/when calling back and be very careful not to give them any personal information while on the call! But you might stop the repeated calls 😎 And if you owe money listen first then be nice and ask them how you can resolve the issue. If you get nasty or short or just hang up you might get someone who likes to get you mad and cause those repeated calls with hang ups and harassment. Try being nice.

- SgtPanzer replies to TheBlackNightWhoever they are, they don't take a hint. I have the "Mr. Number" app on my cell phone and I have this number blocked, yet they persist in calling several times a day.

- BoThese people are phony [***] criminals who want your information and steal your money. If you owe money to someone like Amazon Synchrony Bank, call them direct. Never give out info on the phone. I wish all these crooks fun in prison!

- DaleHounders from the bank that issues Amazon credit accounts.
I always pay much more than the minimum but missed 1 payment in 4 years last month when my mom was dying. Dealing with the nursing home, hospice, hospitals, funeral arrangements etc.
As soon as I realized I missed a pmnt I made a triple the minimum but they still feel the need to be hounders.I really lit into them this morning about the incessant calling and asked if they saw6 The payment. They did. I asked if my account is now current and in good standing. It is. So why do you have to call? I'm getting 3 and 4 calls daily and I ju0 got another call now.
Tomorrow I will pay them off and close the account. I told them this morning that's what I would do, but I guess hounders think they have to call your bluff.
I don't need them or the hassle. After I pay them off in the morning , I'm gonna call and let them know how they lost this customer.
I am disabled so I buy stuff from Amazon at least once a week. From now on I'll just use my debit card.
Idiots!- Call type: Debt collector
- BrianThey called leaving repeated messages to call back. Finally did, and they were claiming that were delinquent in our Amazon credit account, which was odd, because we were holding the current statement showing our most recent payment and what would be autodrafted in three days. Things started sounding suspicious so we hung up. Chase bank (the holder of our Amazon card) confirms this is NOT them. These guys are scammers.

- hemirrrepeated calls from the 913 number, about 3 to 4 times per day. Looking it up here on Spokeo I saw these similar complaints but several answers said it was from Amazon store card collections. Knowing I didn't owe anything but my wife might, I called the service number 866-634-8379 and spoke to a person. While I could barely understand him, he did tell me that I wasn't late on the card. He would not tell me anything about my wife's card. Realizing that this was not in fact a SPAM call, I answered the phone the next time it rang with the 913 number. I spoke to another person whom again I could barely understand who asked for my wife by name. This pretty much verified that she was in fact late on the card payment even though he wouldn't tell me. Sooo...if you are getting calls from this number, it isn't SPAM. Look to your Amazon store card account. If you have no such account, then from my experience of 35 years as a cop, a third of that as a detective, I would venture to say that either your number formerly belonged to someone else who isn't paying their store card account and hasn't given them their latest number, or else someone else is using your number to set up scam store card accounts. (personally, I'm still getting collection calls for the former owner of my cell phone number. It has been my number since 2010!) So this really isn't the Amazon store card peoples' failure. What IS their failure, is the use of bottom-of-the-barrel account servicing, with representatives who are nearly impossible for many of us to understand their conversation, added to very poor communication when you answer the number in that you may or may not ever get to speak with someone, yet they don't leave a message or any clue as to what is needed.

- Keith ASame as others with a new twist. Got a letter from them with this number on it. Letter stated I had authorized verbally for them to charge my checking account. WHICH I NEVER DID I never have spoken to anyone. But I’d bet that if I called this number back they’d be asking me to VERIFY my account number which I’d never give out over the phone so look out for not only scamming calls but lying letters too.

- Chuck| 1 replyWe gets plenty of calls from them always from an Unknown number but they leave a Robo call back phone number saying they are from amazon. So we called amazon and they said ITS NOT US! DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION OUT AND DO NOT REPLY. ITS A SCAM! Calls early mornings. Afternoons. Late at nights. On holidays. Doesn’t matter. We don’t owe either by the way. AMAZON WE REPEAT SAID THEY ARE SCAMS! HACKERS! IF YOU GET EMAILS DO NOT CLICK ON LINKS. DONT ENTER ANY AMAZON INFO. IF YOU DO CHANGE PASSWORD QUICKLY ADM CONTACT AMAZON. Save the emails and show them. Same with their phone calls. SCAMS!
- Caller: Unknown but VM says Synch BANK
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- BigA replies to ChuckSynchrony Bank issues the Amazon branded credit card. Once you use the card, Amazon gets paid from the bank. After that, they have nothing to do with it, so yes, the call was not made by Amazon. It was made by the bank because you are behind on your payments. Now in the case that you don't have an Amazon card, then the call was made in error, something that can easily be corrected by writing a well worded letter that someone at Synchrony Bank can understand telling them that they are calling the wrong person.
