this is Meridan Management Solutions AKA Brachfiel & Associates, a collection agency

They kept harassing me about a debt that I do not owe and threatened to take legal action against me if I didn't settle the account. They even had the audacity to tell me that they were willing to settle it for less than the actual amount.

got acouple of calls from this outfit...couldn't understand the name...i'm sure it's for a credit card past due....

I've received numerous calls from this number. I called it back and finally spoke to someone who "looked me up in the system" and didn't find me anywhere. I asked to be removed from their call list, which they supposedly did. I immediately received yet another call, and when I explained, they said it takes a little while for that to get out of their system.
Another few calls asking for a person I do not know, and yet another one asking for this person a week later, when I started to complain, they hung up on me.

This is the fifth company in four years that is accusing me of owing a debt - that I DONT OWE.  Two years after paying off a credit card and never receiving anything from the cc co, a mysterious collection company (mind you - two years later) starts calling me.  I write them a long letter w/the evidence demonstrating I dont owe the money.  They quit calling me and since that time my "name and debt" has been sold to three other companies and now to this harassers.  They like the previous three, will not listen, will not send any kind of proof of the debt (since they cannot) and are EXTREMELY RUDE AND DISGUSTINGLY MEAN.  Anyone have any suggestions on how to get them to stop calling?

Keep track of your phone calls with the collection company; time, date and what they say. They are not allowed to harass you or make threats. I would call and report them to their supervisor. If they continue to call with that unwanted behavior, you can call and file a report with FTC.

They are Debt Collectors with a very bad reputation. Be careful!

We do not owe money on a credit card that we paid off over 2 years ago and they are calling us everyday.  I am tired off these idiots!

I have had to go as far as changing my number to get them to quit calling, they will call, hang up and then call right back.  Now that I have changed my number, they are calling me at work now.  I will need to put a stop to that, it is ridiculous.

Needs to stop calling me, gets phone calls all day long also in the early mornings... I have not a clue who the person is, but when I do catch them calling i try to explian and they tell me this is the number that he gave to me, then they try to argue with me, to that piont where I  just pretty much have had it and go off on them, they need to stop harassing me is annoying..

I've reported on this same number many times. It just doesn't stop. It is a Fraud.Don't allow yourself to be scammed.These people keep passing your number to the next person in line whenever they don't have any luck getting to you. We've received calls from this number everyother day for months. All different times of the day. They use fear tactics from law offices,police to collection agency threats. We refuse to give in!

Constantly calling until 9 pm at night. Every day....

Have been receiving calls from this number and if I don't answer I receive calls based from Houston, TX.  They are apparently a debt collection agency.  It seems that they have numerous telephone numbers around the US to use in calling for collections.

I get calls from this number several times a day, and I just don't answer, but they still keep calling.  It is mentally exhausting!  I am ready to change my phone number, please help!

I am behind on debts due to medical problems.  This # along with others used by them continously call on cell phone, relatives phones, office phones, etc.  No matter what you tell them, the best thing to do is ignore them.  I have been told that I will be sued for the debt, but if they look at what I own, there is nothing to get.  Nothing is in my name except the cards and medical bills.  That is why they probably continue to call.

Just received another call from this number except a female voice is coming on asking that I return the call.  Whatever they did tied up my voice mail minutes until I contacted the phone company to clear it.  They should not be allowed to put on a message with a hold of somekind that eats our minutes.  Does anyone know how to block calls on cell phones?

I have been getting calls from these people for almost a year now. They are calling for a friend of mine who is incarcerated. I spoke to them months ago and told them as much, emphasizing the fact that he has no income and no assets. They wanted me to fax proof. I told them I had no way to do that and suggested they go to the DOC website to confirm. The calls stopped for about a month and have started back again with a vengeance. I called today to tell them to quit calling my number or I will file harassment charges against them. The woman refused to accept that, said she will keep calling if she wants to. She ended up hanging up on me after I demanded to speak to a supervisor. I called back only to get her again, asked for the company name and her name right off the bat (I guess she didnt realize it was me). She gave me the company name, but refused to give me her name. Once she realized who I was, she told me that she had removed my phone number and I needed to leave it alone. I again asked for a supervisor and ended up hanging up on her this time because was just so rude and aggravating. I called back again and got a guy, who was obviously waiting on my call because I immediately asked for a supervisor, he refused, I then asked for the address so I could send a letter and he refused that too. He ended up hanging up on me. I tried calling one more time, got him again, he answered the phone telling me that I would not get to a supervisor and to just keep calling until I found someone who would connect me to one. I told him I couldn't wait to see what the FTC thought about their practices and then he hung up on me again. I got online to find their address and found this site. Does anyone know where I should send the cease and desist letter and how to contact the FTC to report them? I have no names as they wouldnt give them to me, but I have the company name and phone number. I am sure they have a book on me. It is ridiculous the way these people operate and I am not even the debtor!

Just got my 13th call from this number in 3 days.  Today, as always, it says, This is an important call for >>>>.  This is not a telemarketing call.  Please have >>>> call back at 8668346218.  I refuse to talk to anyone that doesn't tell me where they are from or what they want.  As far as I know, those that answer my phone while I am away from my desk are receiving these messages and know that it is a creditor.  How can they legally do this thinking that you are the only person answer the phone with cell, home, or work?
