Have had several calls from this number. No one ever says anything when I answer. Picked up by answering machine a few times, but they leave no message, just several seconds of nothing.

we've been getting sooo many calls from them. sounds like a machine calling, making beep-tones. super annoying. tried calling them back, nothing happened. not even a ring tone.
just tried the removal number given a few entries above. hope it works.

Have recieved several calls and recorded messages.  Who are these people?  I called the 800# they left in their recording and told them to remove me from their list, I am not listed!!!

Received fax for "Affordable Healthcare Plans" [with this number: 800-701-6649 "Agents are Standing By!"] with 866-793-7480 as the removal number.

I got a call from this number earlier and it turned out to be a recording for Macy*s about my account, and gave me an 800 number to call back about it.

I got several calls from these guys today with them only transmitting beeps.  I called them back and couldn't find out what the company is but got a recording.

Call all day at my job on a phone number who is not a fax phone.

I have had this call several times. They say something about my rating on the internet and how poor the coments are about my business, I am not listed on the internet. I have no idea what they are selling and don't care.

I just got a call from 866-849-3243.  I did not answer.  I think the reason they called me is that I looked up something on the internet about renting a car.  I do not know how they got my phone number???

I have been receiving calls - at work - from this number all week.  The gentleman leaves a message and a cell phone number.  I called him back once and got his voice mail.  I asked that if he called again to please leave a message as to what the call is regarding.  I get too many loonies calling and have to screen my calls.  He has continues to call back several times and will not indicate why he's calling.  When he called again this morning shortly after 7 a.m. - that's when I found this web site.  I did call and add my direct line and incoming general line to their block list.  I hope it works.  He was on the verge of becoming rude when he would say "this is JL and I'm STILL trying to reach you.  Please call me".

I got a call around 8pm and it showed on  the caller ID.
I answered it and
I called and there was answering machine announcement, same description
as those who had emailed on this nuisance calls tactics.
I am not in USA, makes me wonder how did the bugger managed to
find my number in Europe??

I just got this call. Exact time of call was 11:30am CST Oct 17. However, I am currently deployed to Guam so the time is 2:30am Oct 18, Guam time! I answered then hung up as I don't want to pay the ridiculous fees. THe only reason I have my phone on is to receive text messages form my wife!

Received a call from  this number this afternoon.  Just for the record this is the second time.  The first was a month ago and I thought I had the problem resolved.  Guess I didn't.  They were supposed to have taken me off their list.  Guess they didn't.  Go figure. Is this a type of harassment?

received a call from this number on Aug 5,2007.
No one one the other end, sounded like a TV in the background. Caller called 2 more times I didn't answer.
Since then I've been getting other strange area code numbers.
I now don't answer any calls I don't reconize.

First call early on 10/24/07 received at 3:16 AM.  Second call received at 3:21 AM same date.  Most Annoying!!  Could not get back to sleep at all.  DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN!!!

866-849-3243.    So what is their purpose?  I received a call also, couldn't answer.  The vm simple said "thank you". So I returned the call. Same message stating they will call me back.  What is their purpose and what do they gain from this????
