Oh good Merchant Circle is telemarketing again to my direct customer line preventing paying customers from reaching a live person!  I can not find their phone number on their site to return the consideration.  

What I find interesting about their site is they have all these “qualified” marketing people in their employ and utilize telemarketing calls and there by pissing off potential customer.  You would think an MBA would have enough sense to google this phone number and read all the complaints about their company.  

I did get a voice mail referring me to the site to see a comment made about my business.  It is probably bogus and who really cares?  I went to the site as stated but did not enter the phone number.  By entering a phone number and they track the number I have given my expressed permission to annoy me more with telemarketing calls.

I've received 5 calls in the last 24 hours.. They always come about 5 minutes apart from each other, with no one there, and when i call the number it's busy

This # just called me.  When I call back, it is busy, they left no message.  Who are these people and how did they get my number?

866-849-3243 is the now infamous Macy's collection phone service number, Macy's also uses these numbers:  702-366-0303; 513-573-8739 and if middle of the night, this number will be faked: +7778888. Macy's has no good faith intent to resolve the issue but uses this harrassing technique to scare you, harrass you and bully you. I followed other victims' advice as follows:  assign "silent" to these numbers as "ring tone" once any of these numbers shows up once, then my phone will not ring when it's coming but other friends' calls are coming in OK. Now I can sleep OK without Macy's and its cohorts' harrassments.

Trust me, Macy's collection phone calls by these numbers will soon follow:
702-366-0303; 513-573-8739 and if your phone rings at early morning hours (3:00 a.m.), it's going to be a fake # +7778888.  I called Macy's customer service phone to resolve this issue, it didn't help as Macy's already outsourced the harrassing job to some outside collection agency, so it's going to be coming for a while. I followed other victims' suggestions:  assign "silent" to these numbers once it shows up, my phone will not ring when these numbers are coming in but other normal calls are coming in OK. I am aware that some lawyers in Michigan and Florida are collecting evidence and prepare to file a class action against Macy's and its cohorts on this.

Let's expose these collection agency callers who call people day and night; early morning hours to wake us up only to hang up on us with a word "Macy's calling you".  What about 702-366-0303 and 513-573-8739; who can find the user or owner of these numbers that are also used by Macy's in its collection calls  ?

You are right in not leaving your # as often times Macy's outsourced collection agency just wants to confirm if it is your number; once you begin receiving this number, they change numbers such as 702-366-0303; 513-573-8739. The headache is, if turn off cell phone at night time to avoid being bothered middle of sleep, I lose my cell phone functon such as alarm clock; so at this time, I assign "silent" as ring tone to these numbers, cell will not ring for these numbers.

Re:  X-pedite  You talked about "maintaining privacy" of customers but I received your call at 3:00 a.m. in the morning, waking my whole family; I got little children who are elementary students. Then what the purpose of this type of call serving ?

Here is what happened:  I had Macy's card for 10 years; I didn't receive Macy's billing in Dec 2007; I called Macy's 800- and reported this; Customer Serv promised to send me a new bill. I paid this $51 bill but 3 days later than the due date shown on the replaced bill. Suddenly I began receiving collection calls from Macy's 866-849-3243; 702-366-0303; 513-573-8739; early morning hours at 3:00 a.m. Lunch hours, work hours, any time, total 14 within 3 days. I got two minor children sleeping at night only to be suddrenly woken with scary, all of the family. When I picked these calls, some will say "Macy's calling"; some hanged up before you ask any question. I have no choice but to cancel Macy's card now. I always see Macy's store people smiling at customers; but this collection service phone calls really scary, frigtening mom and children like us.

I got the same number calling me today around 2 in the afternoon.  Unlike some other numbers, it did leave a voicemail on my phone.  Rather than being from Macys as with some others, it was from the Red Cross asking me to donate.

Just started receiving calls from this # on my cell phone today. EVERY 5 minutes for better than 2 hours! Who the heck does that?!?!?!  Never answered it and had someone else call it back from another #... had to enter my number to be blocked from their list. Caller ID said 866-849-3243 with no name.  It was a recording for some junk in placing your webshit higher in search engines.
