My mom received two messages on her answering machine this past week stating she won a prize.  The first was from Alan at 1-866-430-3177, the other from James at 1-866-6013 ext. 124.  Both appear to be a scam.  Search this site for the 1-866-430-3177 number as there are many posts related the number.

Received a call on Tues around 6 p.m. -  I let it go to the answering machine.  Lots of static on the line.  
Guy's spoke as if he had his hand over his mouth.  Not sure if the company name was Premium Gifting or something like that . Nbr left for me to call:  (Ext. 124) 866-933-6013.   Msg said I was eligible for one of 4 top prizes.   He did say it was NOT  a telemarketing call nor a time share call. Also said it was
not a "cold" call.   Sure sounds like a telemarketer to me.

Received a message from Shirley at Premium Gifting who also said I was eligible for one of four top prizes. Said she was well aware of the "Do Not Call List" and would not be calling if the call was not legit.  Call back number was 866-933-6013 x124...needless to say, I won't be calling back.

I got the same call and message from a Shirley at Premium Gifting... I guess they are giving away a lot of Cars or top prizes... YA RIGHT!   I also did not enter any contests in the last 12-18 months... sounds like a telemarketer to me.

I have received a suspicious message from Premium Gifting, also.  The message assures me that they are not telemarketers, that they know I am on the "Do Not Call List" so obviously they wouldn't be calling me if they weren't legitimate, that I had won a prize, and that I was eligible for one of four more including a new car.  This is obviously a new scam but I don't have the time or inclination to expose it.  If I had really won a prize, I would receive notice of it in the mail.  Legitimate companies don't act this way.
The number they called from is a Chicago number:  773-891-2786.  As they are in the USA, these people could get into some trouble for pulling scams.  If anyone is interested, take a look at their hinky website: http://premiumgifting.com.

Received a call from the same number only the contact person was James at x243.  The call came from an Illinois number:  708-898-2849.

Good 'ol Mariah just called me too...read her script so cleverly!

Same message recieved today on my phone as posted above only the name was Kevin ext. 243. Checked out the number whhich was 708-248-6285 and it did says "Welcome to Premium Gifting, where we strive to be the leading marketing and advertising company in the world." Definately sounds like a marketing company to me. If I had won a prize for real it would have been identified as to what it was and what company it was from. Don't remember applying for any prize, but who could remember from 12 to 18 months ago. ha ha

Got the same message only from a Jill number was 866-933-6013  I never call back 1 800 numbers either bill collector or scam or sales.

I also received a message like those reported above, regarding having won a car, the caller ("Shirley") being aware of the Do Not Call List, and so forth. This was, IIRC, on June 24 2011.

As so many others have reported, we received a message on our land line answering machine stating that we were 1 of 4 people who had won a prize from Premium Gifting.  Kevin at extension 243, phone number 866-933-6013 was the caller.  The call came in on June 24th or 25th, 2011 while we were away.  Rather than call back as requested I checked your site and determined that this was a scam.  No call will be returned by us!

Same as above, got a call from Premium Gifting from Kelvin phone #866-933-6013 EXT 243.  When I called back the person who answered ID'd herself as Gloria.  All I said was that I had gotten a message from a Kelvin.  After putting me on hold for about a min Gloria told me I could win a Lincoln Navigator, $40,000, $20,000, or a 7 day vacation.  She gave me a claim number for my prize #MCG583.  She said, ok now let me verify your information and stop me if anything is incorrect.  She said that the entry form said I was married then she asked if that was correct when I told her I was single she promplty said this was a couple's only package and for me to have a nice day and then nothing.  I heard nothing else other than noise in the background at that point so I hung up.

A man by the name of Calvin called and left a message that we won a car....Right......How can we stop these calls? His number was 866-933-6013 ext 124

Received a call today from 866-933-6013x243 from someone named Kevin saying that I had won one of 4 top prizes from an entry form 12-18 months ago.  I let the answering machine pick up the call.  I googled them and will not be calling them as they are scamming.

Truthfully I stated that you entrt to recieve a car. Never did I state you won it. If would be more clear if you play back the message I left you. Also more important if you didnt enter you need to research who is using your information. I do not do cold calls.

Please piont out any statement in the message I left that is not true or valid.  Or please clearify what have I done that makes me a scam.  I simplely responded back to an entry form that was completed in hopes to recieve a gift that is used as a form of adverstising. I have not made any false statements. You shouldnt leave harmful statements if you have no merit for them.  Have a bless day and you may consider reading what you enter.

Wow, people get mad when you try to trick them and they catch you. Easy to confuse you with a scammer, or maybe it's no confusion at all.

1. The reason you have to show up is to attend a sales presentation where you will be *HOUNDED* to BUY! BUY! BUY! something related to the travel/vacation industry like a timeshare ($thousands to tens of $thousands), a travel club membership (typically several $thousand) or a vacation ($hundreds to $thousands). Worse still, I've come across an instance where a timeshare "tour" was falsely advertised as a low-priced "vacation" so be prepared for anything.
2. You may think you can get a freebie for a couple of hours of your time but remember you are pitting your will against sales professionals who do this for a living. Some marks can resist the barrage but I guess many may not. Also remember the money to pay for these freebies they do give away have to come from somewhere and that's from marks like you.
3. Your info will likely be sold on to other marketers as folks who agreed to attend and you *will* be hounded by sales calls regardless of whether you bought anything at the sales presentation or not.
4. Sometimes freebies have so many adverse conditions attached to them that "winners" sometimes simply walk away rather than accept them.

Perhaps if you tell people up front what you are selling instead of what they may have won, you may come across as a telemarketer and not a scammer. As it is, you sound like a scammer. But you are a scammer, aren't you? The website premium gifting is registered to Domains By Proxy, Inc., a third part domain proxy, because the owner of premiumgifting wants to hide his identity on the website registration. Scammer! Scammer! Scammer! Scammer! Scammer!
