Called and threatened to serve.

I got the same thing last night.They threatened to put my wife in jail.They also called my sister-in-law and told her she would have to pay one of my wife's bills from four years ago.This can't be legal and how did they get my Sister-in-Laws phone number?She has gotten married and changed names and phone number within those four years.How far can these places go legally????

I called back and was given name of Fredericks, Goldstein, & Oe.  Ms. Banks.  Male answered phone and refused to give mailing address. He hung up on me when I told him I needed it to file a complaint with the FTC.

Called my family and said that she was a court investigator. I was being summoned for court and she gave a "court case" number.  I looked up the number in my county court database and none existed.  It is really their account number of the issue.

These guys are debt collector terrorists.  Exercise your rights and file a complaint with www.FTC.gov, and your state & local authorities.  Raise the statute of limitations as a defense if the date of your last payment is past that date.

Called my inlaws and said they were calling from the county I reside in and gave her a case number.  They said they are representing me in a case.  I called my lawyer and she doesn't know anything about it.  I called the number back and it was Fredericks Goldtein and Zoe, a collection agency.  I'm still trying to figure out how they got a hold of my inlaws number...even I don't know it..

called saying they are investigators and i will go to jail if i didnt arrange a payment from five years ago. This has to stop! they are rude and threatening and wll not give out their address or company name.Can the goverment step in and stop the harrasing people claiming they can do what they want to? i'm loosing faith in our government more and more everyday.

Recieved a call last night. I could barely understand him. He kept saying all this stuff about collecting some sort of debt and if I didn't I would be sent to court. I don't know much about court issues and terminology so I was kind of freaking out. He knew my last four ss# which is really scary and I told him to send documents to my house as proof that this collection is legit. So I gave him my current home address, which now I think was a BAD IDEA!! The more I think about it I can't remember if he already knew my last four ss# of if I gave it to him. Now I am really paranoid and am worried what they can do with that information. He was very rude and when I said that I was not going to pay a dime he hung up on me!! Who hangs up on someone if your trying to collect money from them? What do I do??? I am very worried that he has my information. He has also called my aunt.

Same story as the rest. But this was for my ex-wife (Divorced 9 years ago) Threatened to send a subpeona to my house if there was no response. They had my correct address, of which my ex-wife has lived not a day in. Saved the recording, just in case someone out there has an idea on what do do

They called Threatening my daughter with the same thing, I however did not give any information away, thanks to this site giving me foresight! Also upon the advice I have read earlier I am currently filling out a FTC Bureau complaint form, I suggest you do the same.

Lets get these dirtbags, this is obviously a scam and they have no right. My daughter is 17 and has no debt, so they are just fishing for information. You also can call and use colorful language with them if you wish, I did and they threatened to sue.. funny thing is according to Google this company (Fredericks, Goldstein, and Zoe or OE does not exsist, no matter how much they will try to inform you it does.

I have recieved two calls saying I will be served by my county the next day.  Also my brother in law in another state has been called about me.  I have researched this company and found nothing.  They claim they have a case number for me.  I contacted the court and there is no such number

I asked the address of the "Attorney's office" and was told it was
41 Bristol St Canadaigua NY 14424. If you go to Freeality.com you can check out reverse addresses to see who resides there, I am sure tons of sites do as well, anyway this and Google show a private residence.

go online and file a complaint with FTC and your State Attorney General. Call this company, and tell them cease and desist.

i received a phone call last night from this company and was basically told the same thing.  i had a civil suit against me and that i needed to pay $750 now so it would not go to court.  back in Feb 09 i received a similiar phone call from a supposedly different law firm call Graham Noble and Ass. with the same exact thing. This is a fraud trying to get money do not give them any information. Contact the FCC and your states Attorney General and their states Attonrney General.

Caller quoted my last four SSN numbers to me, also called my ex-brother-in-law who's number I don't even have. Got him all worried, he calls my sister, she's all worried and calls me. Threatened legal action, jail, etc.  

I'm a semi retired former police officer and knew their call was complete bull. They referred to a court in Richland County SC, but did not give which court (we have magistrate's courts, and civil courts all over the various counties in SC). I have not even live in Richland County SC for over 12 years, so if it's a debt collection, it's so old it's unenforceable. I pay my debts, and so I suppose these people are fly by night on VFR kind of company.

Feel free to write them and advise them of your lawyer's name if you have one, advise them to never contact you again unless it is to serve process or acknowledge the request to have no contact. You are allowed to tell them to stop contacting your relatives and friends because once you tell them your lawyer's name and contact information they can only contact your lawyer or you. You can also advise them that your employer is not to be contacted because the employer does not allow personal business and does not wish to hear from outside companies or collection agents and / or lawyers collecting debts.

I received a call saying that the Sheriff's department would be coming to my place of employment if I did not return a phone call to Tom Phillips at Frederick, Goldstein & Zoe, at 866-949-9439.  I have no idea who these people are--I don't even live in the county they said the Sheriff's department was coming from.  Are these people legitimate?  It doesn't sound like it!

I got a call from my parents and my sister in law. Stating an investigator was looking for my husband and myself. They gave me the numbers of the people looking for us. I was told that it was from a debt my husband had. Due to the economy I didn't question it also knowing the situation our income was in.
I called and set up a payment plan with them.
Also they told me they got MY families name from Credit report of my husband. They said during their invesitgation they pulled his credit report and it showed me which showed my family information. I thought that was really weird. Now I am out of almost 500 dollars.
I have spoken to a Ms. Brown there, Lynnwood McCall,Traci Madison, and a Russel Sitzwell. All at this number they gave me 866-949-9484.
Russel Sitzwell was the rudest person i have ever spoke to he told me I was going to get what was coming to me.

Are they real?  Can they threaten and say I am going to court or get picked up by the county police?  I gave them my account information and then checked into this and closed my account.  My debt is 12 years old.  Can they do that?

This company tracked down my ex sister in law, and said they were a "private investigator" from a law firm in Volusia County. She stated her name was Zoe from Frederick Goldstein and said that I needed to return her call OF ELSE I would get a supoena. My sister in law lives in New England and I don't even have her contact information, I don't understand how they could track her down. They even went as far to quote a "CASE NUMBER", well that's NOT a case number it's a profile number for inter-office purposes.

DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLE, they are just a collection angecy!

They cannot arrest you there is a statute of limitatons which expires after 7 years. They did something similar to me, but they called my sister in law and quoted a "case number". They cannot arrest you for debt, the rest of the counrty is also in debt and they are just going through old files trying to get someone to pay that does not know the law. Do your research, make sure you are past the statute of limitations.

A Gentleman by the name of Jeffrey McCall called my mother about an account I had with a co from 2000. In 2005 I filed bankruptcy and included this account and this gentleman told me I had to give him a post dated check for $750. to be cashed no later than May 29th... I FILED BANKRUPTCY!!!!
And I have no idea how he didn't get my new number but yet he knew my moms, she has a different number than in 2000, she moved and divorced my father and got a new number! How are these people finding numbers and harassing people on way old accounts???!!!!????
