Thank you. I am going to answer the debt collectors that call me and tell them they legally have to send me a snail mail before I pay.

The assessment keep calling me. Iade it clear that they will not be getting a dome from me as my company has been closed for 3 years.  I td them to take it to court.  Why have they habe not is a mystery if I owe

My household received a message from CCA looking for someone with the same last name but different first name and no relation to our family. Note this is a LEGIT credit company, not a scam. My husband called them back during business hours, informed them the person they were looking for wasn't in our household or even related to us and that was it. They haven't called back. I think if it's a case of mistaken identity and you go through the trouble of calling you back, they will not bother you again.

Make that, calling *them back, not you!

This person is a moron... ignore the calls... or better yet, answer and tell the what pieces of [***] they are.. then laugh..

If it was a legitimate debt your credit already took a hit... they can not make it worse on a bought debt... Which is likely beyond the limitation period anyway

I received a voicemail from a so-called Commercial Credit Adjusters Ltd. looking for 'Oscar' and that it was 'very important' to call back to 1-866-958-5850 x716.  Since there is no Oscar living on this address, I will block this number from pestering me.

This company tries to collect old debts that are past the Statute of Limitation.  In Ontario, the debt is no longer collectable after two years so just ignore their calls.  If you have call display, do NOT answer the phone.  They cannot take any action against you because the two year period is long past.

Message on my phone asking for someone of the same last name. Don't know the name, so obviously trying to locate someone by phoning numbers of people with the same last name.

Been getting this same message at least every few weeks (though they were gracious enough to leave me alone for the holidays), stating they're calling on behalf of MTS.  That seems to be the only variable from what I read, is the company they call "on behalf of".
They always seem to call just before I get off work so it goes to my VM.  Always found it odd that a "very important business matter" was being dictated by a dialer bot and not an actual human.
Feel kind of ashamed for thinking this MIGHT have been legitimate...

Nothing but a scam, don't fall for it I don't owe any money. They mailed a letter to my address with out a persons name LOL what did think?  I just get off the boat?

Yes, this is a legit company, and that's the point! They are phising,  and scamming in this manner. All of u , who are too naive to actually understand such, are the real suckers!  Are u all this gullible,  and believe that because it matches a legit business ,their intentions are good.? This is the newest method of scams. Sure it all seems honest. Don't ever give them any info. Please educate yourselves!!!

Trust me, I have experienced  many examples of scams, and traps such as these are one of them. Sure, there may be individuals who may owe bills, but u also need to be aware of this company firstly.The actual scammers will pass themselves off as true employees of this company, including customer service when u try returning a call.Do u think they actually remove your number? No; they have no reason to further call or suspect that some law enforcement may be on to them. Address them before they have any chance to ask who u are, and threaten them by telling them to quit while they're ahead! I guarantee u they will cease calling!

Please stop calling my place of employment I have been reprimanded and I am on the verge of loosing my job, my co workers are mad because they are calling them also STOP IT it's harassment now I know the Canadian legalities around this you cannot contact them but one time , I have a family to support and I most certainly wont be able to do that if I loose this job .

Please print out at least some of this thread and show it to your supervisors - you should not be reprimanded for receiving scammy, threatening phone calls!  Your work place should also be able to get their telecom provider to block the number(s) these losers are calling you from.

I see several previous comments that this is a "legitimate" debt collector, based on the fact that when they called the # that THIS SCAM CALLER PROVIDED, someone answered and claimed to remove them from a call list. Umm, you people need to rethink your logic. Just saying.
It may be a real 'business' but there's nothing legit about it.

I've had this call several times, every few weeks. The call comes from 204-282-9943 (Manitoba). An automated voice claims to call on behalf of Saskatchewan Justice saying it's "Not a sales or telemarketing call, but re: a personal business matter." Then provides this toll free # (866-958-5850, an extension, a reference code, and demands that you call them back. Yeah, bite me, CCA.

I call BS. I blocked the # and recommend you do the same. Don't be a victim.
