Called twice and said I owe them money when I do not think I owe anything

CCA main office is in Winnipeg MB. They also have offices in Quebec and Alberta

I'm not paying $300 for an ambulance. I'm already unable to work due to illness. Plus these people would've already paid AHS for my debt. So I thank them.  So much for public service and "free" health care

I am 100% sure they are not calling me about a legitimate collection as all my payments are paid. Just BE CAREFUL;

Call looking for someone else.  Called back saying didn't know this person and to stop calling me.

Annoying robo-caller, with weird voice over for the reference number.
Did not Identify the company.  Just gave phone number, extension and reference number.

Keep calling me on voice mail

tries to collect debt that is not substantuated ,don't do there homework .If your name is Smith they would try to collect  from anybody with the name Smith . ( meaning half the phone book .)
If my dog or cat was named Smith they would try to collect frm them .Claim to have a legal Debt , probably the same person calling you . BOCK it BLOCK it BLOCK it  , go back and look througfh a DECADE or more of complaints on this websight alone CHeck  the number link to some ,area code  (204 ) numbers in some of those complaints and youy will find additional preoblems with this company . Would not let them change a lightbulb .!!

Complete scam company. Sent my cousin a letter entirely in FRENCH claiming he owed money to a bank...even if he owed them a Million, it's past 3 years, statute of limitations to take it to court in Quebec is past, so they can GTH, TFB if they missed the deadline. Why would anyone pay after the 3 year limit is up?  Someone MIGHT may the actual lender but certainly not one of these nefarious Mafia-run scammers. Hopefully they all get cancer and COVID and die. Every time a debt collector dies, an angel earns their wings. They are the most despicable people on earth.

This company, CCA or “Commercial Credit Adjusters” are a dupe-credit company who pick up extremely old credit defaults on Canadians and then harass the [***] out of them about something that is over a decade old, OR they’re a false credit defaulter company who look up Canadian names who have had credit of some kind in the past, then attempt to scam money out of them by threatening actions that are simply illegal or impossible by their hand. NEVER agree to anything from them. If they say that they are constable whoever, or if they say constable so-and-so is there, it’s a scam. Do NOT be duped by them when they make claims that they are calling from CRA (Canada Revenue Agency) either, or if they claim that they are so-and-so from such-and-such law firm. It’s fake. It’s a scam. Don’t get duped by these scam artists. If a number calls you that you do not recognize… Screen the call. Check the number they’re calling from. They use a program or app that uses unused NXXs / telephone numbers so that you don’t recognize that actual NXX they’re calling from. I believe one of their actual numbers is: 1-343-804-4071 - but they won’t be calling you from that number. I got THAT number from a voicemail prompt on my Rogers voicemail that allows you to call the ACTUAL number that called you, despite the number that ends up showing on your call display. THAT number is just a dummy number they use so you don’t recognize who’s calling. I screen every number  that I don’t recognize. It it’s legitimate, they’ll leave a message and then YOU can decide whether it’s a safe number from someone you know (i.e. Sharon calling from Dufresne Furniture. The couch and love-seat you wanted is in stock now. Apparently it came in this morning from their warehouse in Brampton, ON.) Obviously then, you would know that that is a legitimate NXX from Dufresne Furniture and you should call Sharon back to let her know you’d like it delivered this coming Saturday or whatever.

I am being harassed daily, sometimes 3 or 4 times.  They keep leaving messages, for someone I don't know.
How can  stop this harrassment??

This is the same call I got about 10 years ago they were looking for a man named Steven. I made some enquiries and found it was a collection agency looking for the person who had my phone number before I got it. I just got the same call again today and I hung up. I have had this number for 24 years. Bill collectors never give up it has been passed on to another collection agency. Just hang up!
