They have been calling me 2-3 times a week, i called them back and  told them they were trying to contact a person who doesn't live here and they hung up on me. I want the calls to stop.

Beefing about it here won't get the job done. To halt the misfired skip trace calls, you must take direct action and make it the debt collector's problem to cure. Verbal demands will not be obeyed either. My long form advice for "not me" cases is found here:
