received sporadic calls nearly a month ago. didn't answer and they didn't leave any messages. now i've had calls from them once a day for the past week. really annoying.

I recieved a call from the same number so I called it back and got an answering message that it is a health care survey...  I don't know why they would be calling me unless it is regarding my surgery that I had over 2 months ago.

This was a call from a company doing follow up on my opinion of my treatment of a recent stay at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno NV.  This was their third attempt to reach me, since my release on May 16.  The first attempt was at 0640 on May 18.  No message was left.  The next attempt was yesterday at 1530, and again no message.  They called today at 1845, and since I was curious and not busy, I answered.  questions about my opinion of my treatment and care, although the questions were general, the had to be based on the entire experience and in their words---- "very good" "good" "fair" "poor" or "very poor".  Impossible to answer these questions properly if one doc is a moron and 2 are wonderful, same with nurses and other staff.  The woman asking questions gets pissed off when you tell her to leave answers blank, but that's her problem, since she should be happy that you are answering anything.

This took less than 10 minutes, and may be helpful to future patients.

Has called 2x for questions on health care during my work hours. Stop calling, if a survey from my areas health care providers they can mail me a questionair with a self adressed envelope.

this is the press ganey survey for a hospital, whenever i take my son in to his liver specialist within 3 days i get a call from them asking about my service at his appt.  Memorial Hermann and Tx U.T. Physicians use them all the time, no telemarketer, or debt collector at least.

Surveys are tricky at first glance (or listen).  The rating scale is not impossible to use to rate any question.  There are nor right or wrong answers just how you feel based on the question and experience.  If I had two bad nurses and a really nice one, I feel that I would rate my overall experience as "fair".  If I had any specific complaints/commendations/etc, there is a comment section at the end so you can expand on anything you like - even the survey itself.  

I urge everyone to read up on Press Ganey.  They are a nationally recognized company with over 1,000 clients (hospitals, clinics, universities) and have a stellar reputation.  The questions are general in nature and are beneficial to improving the health care experience for future patients.  If we take a little time out of our day and share our experience it could do a world of good.  That goes with anything, not just surveys.  People in this country need to realize it's not all about them but their fellow human.

Well, we've likely been called for this Renown care survey then too, as my wife had surgery there this year, as well as other procedures. I agree with "People in this country need to realize it's not all about them but their fellow human..." completely. But having conducted surveys like this on a smaller scale but also from a very controlled, targeted group, I must say that the info is usually only mildly helpful. However, it is usually the complaints that people make, when serious enough or repetitive enough, that lead to real improvements or change.  All the higher end answers don't provide enough real information to be useful.

Sorry but why would they call for someone who died 1 year ago.  They were in a VA hospital and I don't like these type of calls in the first place.  This is not as you said it is.  They would not be calling for someone who died if they knew what they were doing.  Surveys are a waste of time.  If something is wrong don't you think people would speak up at the time and report it?  I disagree with you.   and to call at late hours?

These people just don't get it.  The person they are asking for died over a year ago.  Why would they be calling to do a survey and ask for the person who died.  Something doesn't add up.  That person was in a VA hospital.  didn't do anything but hang up.  This is being reported also.

Do not call lists only apply to telemarketers not to survey takers but you can ask them to remove your number as well and they should have no problem complying.

Received a call from this number and no one picked up when I answered.

They called me and said that is you you MF. then hung up I couldnt believe what I just heard as I called them back and it was some health care survey.

These people suck! What...they think we're that stupid? Freaks don't even leave a message.

I just received a call from this number and it is a health care survey.  I have no idea how they got my cell phone number as I rarely use it and I never give it out to anyone other than family.

I received a call from this number also. It was about a service I had done at the hospital I work at. Being an employee, I know that the caller did not know any of my history. He works for an independent survey company. His job is to collect general information about the care that is given at the hospital. The information gathered is reported back to the hospital so that we can see where we need to improve. The scores affect how much we get reimbursed for the services we provide. It is important to answer these surveys.

As to not leaving a message, THEY CAN'T! It is part of patient confidentiality. They must speak to the person who actually had the service

QUIT WASTING MY MINUTES ! No answer on the other end and calls all the time near Dinner time. If I had a rocket launcher and a good trace on these morons...
