- shirley| 2 repliespress ganey. this is not atelemarketer. press ganey is a prestigiousorganization that does surveys onyour experiencein hospital or healthcare settings, to ensure quality control for the organizations you report on. it is good for providing feedback so they can improve. i know all thisbecause i took the call also i am a healthcare provider and have worked for hospitals that used press ganey before. the information you give is confidential-the organization won't know who says what, only what is said about their performance.

- ddThe call is from Press Gainey, a survey company. They are hired to do hospital ratings to see if you are getting the proper care we are all paying for. The patient is asked before leaving the hospital if they want to participate, so if you are in a hurry to get out of the hospital, or are a relative of the patient, you may not remember or be aware of being asked to participate. They cannot leave a message due to hipa confidentiality rules. Though it may be a bit of a hassle, these surveys are required by the government to rate hospitals to make sure they are providing proper care

- Scott"dd" is correct that this is a robo-survey by Press Gainey. However, while I was recently hospitalized, I was not asked whether I was willing to participate in any post-stay survey. In fact, I was transferred from one hospital ER to another hospital entirely and was conscious during my departure from both facilities. None of the release papers included anything about a follow-up survey either.

- seems legitSimple survey. Just give your feedback on your hospitalization. I had many complaints so I.didn't mind. Doctors and nurses should be aware! Ratings are based on our answers and if you research this place you will see that people are at times terminated due to low ratings and complaints. I believe in stuff like this because doctors think they are high and mighty and can be disrespectful. It is run by the government and people SHOULD CARE ABOUT WHO PROVIDES THEM HEALTHCARE!!! Nurses are so.rude and lazy at times. Why be a nurse if you hate your job?
I ignored this call for weeks until I finally answered. Nice gal on the othet line. This is a serious company who abided by HIPAA laws. The comments are true. I thought it was a collection agency but nowhere do they ask for personal info or billing.- Caller: press ganey

- StewartGot another call with that number just minutes ago. They didn't leave a message. On my caller ID, it only says "Toll Free Call". Sometimes, I pick it up and there's no one there. Annoying! I am on the Do Not Call List Registry but it doesn't seem to work.
- Caller: ???
- yefI got a hangup call from them today at 1:52 pm. I too was recently in the hospital, so comments from other posters make sense. I was never asked, however, if I wanted to participate in a survey. What I don't like is the caller ID saying "unavailable". As far as I'm concerned, when the caller ID says "unavailable", then so am I. I would personally rather they send a survey form in the mail for me to fill out on my own time.

- GeorgeHospitals love to brag that they have the best "patient satisfaction." You can really do some damage if you give bad marks. The administrators pay close attention. In my case, my son had a procedure and when I got the survey, the lady asked if I was the legal guardian. I just responded by asking her a bunch of questions and keeping her on the phone for a good while. When she asked me to do the survey I told her I was sorry. I didn't have time since she jibba jabba so long. Never heard from them again. I'm not here to give these overpaid doctors an ego boost or help other people out by giving a rating. No patient ever says "show me how that hospital's patient satisfication rating and I'll go there." Waste of time

- JohnI got a call tonight at 7:47pm on my cell. I was also in a hospital recently. caller ID just says "United States". If it's a hospital survey I just don't have the minutes to waste. Luckily the Samsung Galaxy can block numbers. with my provider, at least.

Robo caller from hell, please take note of the several troll reports that attempt to lie and sanitize these nefarious liars, the most entertaining [***] is the "posting troll" who lies about Health Privacy Act .
This phone number has a lengthy history for serving scam artists.

- alan| 1 replyGot the call from this number today, nobody there.
To all those who mentioned the do not call list...........Forget About It...........there is NO enforcement of the "Do Not Call List". Never was never will be. I was on it myself, looked into it, it is TOTALLY useless. It is a government thing setup to pacify the masses that is all.- Caller: n/a

- JParky replies to alanNot true, Alan. There was a local company that used several phone numbers in an attempt to sell me. I reported them each time (after telling them that I did not need their product). The government did finally go after them. It just takes a long history of reported complaints to get some action.
Now to this number. If these calls are truly a survey, they are allowed to called.
