I too requested a book of Mormon and I never received it. I only get about 4 obsessive phone calls per week. It's insanity! Boy, those Mormons really know how to scare someone away! I want NO part of that!

Same here. Ordered the book because a former student told me she was being visited by them and since she is black, gay, and a single mother (three strikes)I wanted to get as much info as I could.

Check this out for real information: http://www.postmormon.org

ME TOO!!! I just wanted to read the book, and now, over a month later, I get multiple calls, every day. They call me from all sorts of different numbers too. They only left a voicemail ONCE, saying they'd "love to come give me" the book. Ah hah! So that's their trick; they want access to your home. Eff that, I said. I wrote them again asking them to please contact me via email because I'm never by my phone, and lo and behold, they did not. All I want is my free book of Mormon! (You can read it online though, at http://scriptures.lds.org/en/bm/contents )
I wonder if I pick up and tell them to stop calling, will they stop calling?

Is there ANY way to get off this call list!?

I never pick up unknown numbers, especially not toll free ones.

Ha!  I'm glad I didn't answer especially after checking this site out!  I too just ordered a copy of the Book of Mormon to get them over to my house so I could show them how their headed for hell following a false prophet!  I had a wonderful conversation with "Elder" Thomas and "Elder" something or other.

No such thing as a free lunch
I orderd a free bible about 7 years ago from their ad I saw on TV. It came in the mail and I never had a problem. Recently I decided to order one for a friend, I should have just purchased one for her, because since then, they will not stop calling! Their number shows up as missed call on my cell phone everyday! At first I couldn't figure out who the could be calling from this number, so I put it in the Google seach engine to see what came up and low and behold, it was the Mormom web site. I simply called the number once I knew who it was and asked them to stop calling, they said they would. It's the first day, let's see if they stop calling. There is no such thing as a free lunch......

Yep.  Same story.  I've spoken to them twice, told them I'm an atheist and that I was only interested in the book for comparison purposes.  They keep calling.

Yeah, I keep getting calls too, but the worst part is I'm getting calls from the 877 number AND the regional office number. The dude keeps saying my name Clair-ee, and he must be like... 16 years old.

I didn't even want the book. A former friend of mine signed me up for one as a joke for Christmas, and now I want to do the same to her just so she'll get all the annoying phone calls.

Like all of you, I seen a TV add for a video tape on Jesus, and thought I would see what they (Mormons) had to say about Jesus, and compair it to the King James Bible.  When the tape came it wasn't a standard VHS video tape, but a DVD.  I don't have a DVD player.  Now I have something I'm curious about and can't watch, but am getting these annoying phone calls.
Why do the Mormons want to talk to me.  I'm a Christian.
Funny thing last evening I watched a TV show on our local OEA educational station about the Mormon regligion.  What a bunch of BULL. A man named Joseph Smith a prophet!!! And had over 30 wives. That stinks.

I ordered a free video on The Christmas Story (Jesus's birth) several years ago on a website & did receive it. Now they have just recently started calling, several times a week, even though my husband has answered the phone & politely told them he's not interested! Sometimes they call multiple times a day. How do you get them to stop calling?
