The First Amendment guarantees freedom of speech, religion and the press. So in modern times that means any religious organization can contact you over and over. And they will if you have expressed any interest in their religion. They are looking for new converts and in the case of the Mormom church, the required 10 percent tithe or tax which all members must pay. More members means more money into their church. I personally do not believe that Joseph Smith found golden tablets in upstate NY which proved the prescence of Jesus in America and form the foundation of the Mormon church. You can decide for yourself but remember that any religious organization can contact you forever and they will if you establish a relationship with them. Damn I guess I will lose all my Utah voters now.

They call me at least once a day! Then they hang up, the last time I checked that was called "harrassment". I too, ordered a free bible. Now I feel like I've joined a cult!

I have watch the DVD and it is a good version - but they do call a little too much - I just do not answer it - why bother - it will just ruin my day. I will let no one steal my joy.

So I... like everyone else on this page... requested a book for Mormon for my history project, I figured I should get a copy of their texts in order to research them fully. Now they call about every other day, never leave a message and call at odd times of the day (7 in the morning, 11:30 at night, noon). Sometimes they call when I'm in class. I don't pick up numbers I don't know so I've never talked to them but I'm not going to pick up. Thank God I'm moving and will be getting a new phone soon.

wow...glad to see i am not the only one. they call me every night at the same time. and they had my address to deliver it via mail but they use to come to my house every night(i wasnt home of course) asking for me. talk about your stalker.

I didnt even sign up for anything, and they keep calling and coming to my door. My sister answered one day and they said I had called them to request one of their books. total Bull.
anyone know how to remove my number from their list?

i actually talked to a missionary, went to the church on sunday last month, took 1 lesson. i was stupid and was like yeah yeah sure i'll come back.. so they called about 10 times, found out i wasnt going to answer so i think they gave my number to this 877 200 9000 so they can try or something. they call twice a day always at the worst time possible too

They call and hang up when answered.

Never signed up for anything and received several calls from 1-877-200-9000 on a new cell phone where only my husband and kids have the number.  Now I am going to have to figure out how to block numbers.

I was searching the Mormon website b/c I was curious about the religion and saw that you could request a free Book of Mormon. So I did b/c I wanted to learn more about the religion but I didn't expect them to call me! All I wanted was to read the book...I do not want to talk to them. They have been calling like twice a day for the past month. Its so annoying! So much for that free book...you have to meet with them if you want your free book.

I ordered one becasue i saw it on tv an di was joking around... now they wont stop calling me.. its probabaly the most annoying thing ever... talk about forcing religion on you... IM JEWISH ahahhahahaa... i just liek free things haha... but seriosuly if someone form that company reads this.. STOP CALLING MY DAMN PHONE. IM NOT GONNA PICK UP, oh and p.s. when you come to the door can you not look inside the windows... its creepy.. i knwo you can see me but... im nto answering the door... stalkers

These people call everyday and have been for the past few months. It's really getting on my nerves and has been become very annoying.

i never ordered anything and i just got a call from them... IGNORE!!

Ordered a free Book of Mormon from the lds website, then got a local call from the missionaries top schedule a time to bring me the book.  Two 20-year-olds with "Elder" nametags (how is a 20-year-old an elder???) showed up to give me the book and talk to me about the Mormon Church.  About 3 weeks later, I started getting calls from 877-200-9000.  I answered the first time and they hung up.  The second time, I didn't answer, but entered the number in google and this site came up.

A few weeks ago I ordered a book of Mormon because i'm a Religion minor at a Christian school. I love learning about other religions, so these two mormons came to my house, I asked them questions (which they couldn't even answer without an Uhhhh...or hey, here's our card...or a, what? our doctrine says that?) and they left me a book. Now this number calls me EVERYDAY! I never answered it because I didn't recognize the number... now I know who it is. It's been weeks! Ridiculous! I blocked the number...I've learned all I wanted to know about the mormon religion...mostly from pamphlets and skimming the book.

i don't know why they keep calling me.
