You guys need to check your facts about the Mormon church.  They are in no way racist.  The "darker your skin, the more sinful", where the hell did you hear that from, are you serious?  Just simply tell them to stop calling and that you are not interested, there is absolutely no reason why you should be rude to them, in their eyes they are trying to teach you something that they feel so passionate about that they have chosen to to spend 2 years of their lives to teach about it, give them a break! And they don't leave messages because they want to talk to you, not a machine.  Seriously guys, why all the hate?  That's no way to live.

They get your number from people YOU know, who have referred you.  Grow some balls and tell them you aren't interested, omg!

Check your facts dude.  Compare this religion to others and you will find they aren't much different.  Simple tell them to stop calling, don't be jerks, and don't spread rumors about churches that you don't have solid proof about.

Uh, Mormons are Christians, they believe in Jesus Christ....I am pretty sure its called the CHURCH of JESUS CHRIST of latter-day Saints....pretty sure....

They call me, but I answer and are very kind and considerate, I have told them I wasn't interested, so the calls have become a minimum.  However, they stop by every once in a while to check and see how I am doing, its pretty nice.  They even do some yard work for me too.

Just call the number and ask them to remove your number.

I got the call, too. I do not know how they got my number because I never even ordered a Book of Mormon, although they say I did (unless somebody signed me up for one as a joke... SO NOT FUNNY!). My fiance answered the first time they called and told them that we weren't interested and to please not call us again. Now they are STILL are calling me! I don't even answer anymore; I saved the number in my phone so I know to hit "Ignore." Because if they were told to take me off their list and did not do it, then obviously telling them to stop isn't going to work.

Hey, I've got no problem with the Mormon church. I am a Religious Studies major and I understand more than most people that they are no different. However, this does not mean I want them to call me trying to get me to join them. I personally never asked them to call, plus I've told them to stop calling and they still persist. That's why I'm mad about it.

So no, don't be a jerk about it. But you have to understand: some of us never wanted them to call, and even after telling them to stop, sometimes they still keep calling. After the fifth time, it is very hard to be polite to them anymore.

Not always true... see my other posts. My fiance and I have been very polite and they still keep calling us. I don't think I can be so nice anymore.

I have seen the place where the calls are from and this will probably answer all of your questions.  Once you give them your number, it goes into their system.  It comes back up in their system in a scheduled basis, so all they are doing is returning the call and making sure you recieved the item.  They do it for free, they are not paid, and they love to help.  If you are not interested, simply tell them so and let them know you would not like to recieve any more calls. Just be kind as I am sure they are to you.

all you have to do is ask them to take your name off the list. it really does work. you don't have to be mean at all.

Calls over 20 times, asking if you wanna buy pots, pans and what not. Will not remove me from list. Help.

Omg. I was just looking through a site and just got this item which it was free. And now they constantly freakin call me & keep comin to my house. They sit there in front of my house and waiting for someone to come! FREAKIN A! i was about to call the police or something. I told them specifically that i dont want anymore information but they kept calling. Its been a year ago since i got that free book & they still call... Mormons driving me nuts! I learned my lesson.

I got one of these calls on a Sunday at 9:00 PM. I thought scammers weren't suppose to bug you on Sundays! & also ..Im on a DO NOT CALL: list. GGGRRR

Call me 4-6 times a day, every day, for the past six weeks.  I never answered, never leaves a voicemail.

First of all, these are wonderful people. Persistant, yes. But they aren't jerks like you all believe them to be. You don't have to be rude to them in order to get your point across. Just politely ask them to please stop calling and that you simply aren't interested. They should stop. They are just people like you and at the end of the day we should all just stop being mean to each other. If you don't want anymore calls, then pick up the phone and tell them so. I don't see what the big deal is. Perhaps I should start a post about people that make annoying posts.
