- CrissiYea, I did a payday loan in 2007 and PAID if OFF, now I am getting calls. WHATEVER! Too many scams going on and when I know I paid something, and have the proof. They also say they have a judgement again me. Scare tatctics, if I was really in default I tink I would have gotten a notice for a 2007 payday loan sooner than 2011......Really!

- Jesse replies to KMRThere is no such thing as National Attorney Law Network.
This is a scam by doped up debt collectors (Mr Stone?) to attempt extortion of your money for a payday loan they bought for pennies.
If they were a legal group they would surely be more transparent.
The phony organization, stupid names used by collectors and ridiculous threats of arrest, defrauding a bank, etc. would be illegal and unethical for any attorney to allow.
This is just another scam of dopers trying rip off money.
Please don't belive anything they say or plant on these sites, they are just common criminals. - Michelle| 1 replyMy parents got a call from this number stating they wanted to contact me to save me from being subpoenaed on a debt. Of course this was very upsetting to my parents and they contacted me. When I called the number back and I explained to the woman I was out of work and was on disability at this time she stated I could pay the settlement or explain it to the judge. I told her I didn't have the money and I guess I would have to explain it to the judge. She then told me I would have to pay the debt plus legal fees. This really has me upset and I want to know what I should do.

- aaa replies to MichelleMichelle...please dear calm down these are low life debt collectors ...first thing you do is..
1..go to ask.com and type in what states are illegal for a pdl loan..you should get about 15 to 20 states and if you happen to live in one of these states you just saved yourself a lot of monies and you don't have to pay them back..they will not take you to court because if they are illegal the judge will fine them thousands of dollars and dismiss your case and by law there not allowed to log on to your credit report..if you know the law they wont push it,,,,,and even if you do live in one of the states where it legal for them they cannot garnish or freeze your disability check its against the law..
also ask for full validation.
when you opened and closed the account
payments made
how the interest was accrued these idiots always make a mistake when they do the math but the mistake is always in there favor..you want to do the math.
you want to see the contract with your signature..
of course these idiots will say they don't have to do that..then you say according to FDCPA RULES..
SEC.207 (42 U.S.C.407) MEANS FULL VALIDATION.
the law says it they cant validate then the debt is invalid..the law is on your side 100%
this is how you screw these low life's legally. - BilOh no ... here we go again. What a low life industry. I actually have a lawyer suing the last one because I received 50 hang-up calls, when I did talk to the previous guys they continued to call me when I informed them they had the Wrong Number!! I guess they didn't believe me.
The last company didn't even inform whom ever the debt holder is that the WRONG!! phone number somehow got attached to the account. After being notified by the lawyer. Funny thing is, they gave me enough detail in the questions to identify the person they are looking for. Technically they broke the law when they did that. I can find the person on the internet, but I won't help them. I got a good lawyer now, and it looks like he is going to get another case and I will get another Thou. But Arrgh! I'd actually rather just not have the hassle.- Call type: Debt collector
- BilHere is the link to the guys who put me in touch with my current lawyer who HAS filed against the last ones ....

Read and follow instructions carefully, it's not like you just automatically get a lawyer, apparently there is a process where they refer cases.
There are instructions if you really owe the debt, there are still things to do to stop the harassment. And somebody should reply. Pay attention to any email you get after filling out the report etc.- Call type: Debt collector
- Arcelia LopezI have been receiving calls from this number and text messages as well. I have talked to the supervisor Gonzalo who was very rude, and Henry Aventura who was screaming at me and he hung up on me. After haning up on me he calls me back and saying hes going to sue me for calling the company. Can you believe that!! WOW their a hand full.

- Mrs. Hanson| 1 replyYeah, this company called me stating I owed money from a payday advance from 2007 and if I didn't pay them within 2 days I would be issued a subpoena. I tried working with them by asking them to send me some legitimate proof that I owed money and they said that they wouldn't because 2 different collection agencies already to contact me. I was NEVER contacted by ANY collection agency nor was I contacted by my bank stating that I had a bounced check. I believe that this is BS and I told Hayden @ NACS that my bank had NO record of this and if they wanted me to pay them, they needed to provide me proof that I owed money. The people @ NACS and Checksmart were not willing to cooperate with me, so I told them I'd see them in court, if they're an actual business. I suggest telling anyone who calls you from this "company" to shove it!!

- Mrs. Hanson replies to deleted postYeah, okay. How come this is the 1st post I've read on this site that states that this company is legit? Sad! lol
- Mrs. Hanson replies to ollieHHAHAHA!!! That's the same snatch that I was talking to. But now she won't talk to me and passed my "file" to a Hayden pud that is saying all the same BS about garnishing wages and taking me to court. I told him to go ahead and take me to court! lol Yeah, well see what happens.
- Mrs. Hanson replies to me2009I'm in CA too. What ever came of your "case" with them??? I'm dealing with them now for a payday loan they say I didn't pay back, which I paid in cash, from 2007!!! Please respond, I'm very curious. Thank you!
- Mrs. Hanson replies to wonderingThey're so bogus it's unreal!
- David replies to Mrs. HansonThey are a real company ... a real screwed up one. The person who contacts you and their supervisors are probably not the one who did the "research" to incorrectly tie your name and number to the bad account.
They hire people so arrogant and stupid to contact you they really don't think about it. The callers are idiots to begin with, then they are trained and scripted that nothing works like harassment. - VICTIMI received a message at work from Karen Watson from (877) 202-5736 ext. 245 on November 9, 2011, asking me to return her call regarding a pending matter...
