- MeLeaves message stating they are with Jonathon Frank's and Associates and they are calling about a matter attached to my name and ssn
- Caller: Jonathon Franks and Associates
- Call type: Debt collector
- April| 13 repliesasked if I am my husband's wife and asked me to confirm the last four digits of his ssn. Said that they have a claim of over $2k from a loan be took out in 2014 and said we need to settle with payment arrangements now or it will be taken to court for judgement of over $4k . I told her to call him and discuss it, she never did but instead called me back an hour later. I called my husband asking about it and he said that it's fraud and there is no over due loan. She called again this time I didn't answer and she didn't leave a message.

You need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation, cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter. You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to. Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment. If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt and we would all be the richer for it.

Web site lists him as an attorney that also does debt collection and gives an address that is probably in a virtual office:
http://www.jonathancfrank.com/
No BBB page yet.
There is no LLC registered in Texas or any other state for that matter which would preclude this enterprise from legally conducting business, which a “lawyer” should know.
They are not registered with the Dept. of State in Texas as a collection agency and they do not seem to have the required necessary surety bond.

Texas BAR registration indicates he has been a lawyer for around 18 months:

Whois information on his web page indicates that it less than a year old and will expire next month:

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/

ContentID=31917 - unknown replies to BigA| 9 repliesUnfortunately I cant say that I share the same feeling when it comes to these posted I spoke to a Mr. Green and he helped me with my situation with this law office. As the commercial states don't believe everything you read on the internet, these people are nice and will help you fix the problem if they are calling you.
- Resident47 replies to unknownFine then, I will exercise my right to disbelieve your heartwarming testimonial. "Nice people" who "fix problems" don't go creating them by calling all the "nearbys" and making illegal threats.
- BigA replies to unknownYes and this bunch of crooks has been well know to send shills to this web site professing how great he is. Sorry, but you failed once again.
- Quark replies to unknown
I agree with you 100% . In fact I choose not to believe you.Quote:As the commercial states don't believe everything you read on the internet - MidNYteStormDebt collectors have a proven track record of harassing innocent people because they are calling outdated numbers. I know that this is a fact because it happened to me.
- Tamianth replies to unknownOh my, We have a author in the house! Ladies and Gentleman, tonight's fantasy fiction story: Fair E. Tails by Itsa lil Schill, illustrated by Ura Lyre An'Fraud! Published by the ever popular and infamous scam ops publishing company of Shyster & Shills Inc!
Hurry to get your copy from that infamous book seller of I. Cheatum and Howes! - B-Edwards replies to unknownOh for the love of Pete. You are one bad Shill. Go back to crook school. Jerk. A 7 year old could see you comin' a mile off.
- GateKeeper replies to BigA| 1 replyThere's also still no surety bond, so any money this Texas-based crew collects has been illegally obtained. (As explained here http://www.sos.state.tx.us/statdoc/faqs2900.shtml#q1 )
https://direct.sos.state.tx.us/debtcollectors/DCSearch.asp
You can search for yourself, but as of right now, there is no bond on record - BigA replies to GateKeeperHow can you have a bond if your company isn't legally registered with the state? This clown might have barely passed the BAR (the exam because i doubt he passes any bar), but that is where it ends.
- Anonymous replies to unknown| 1 replyI agree with you. I had a previous payment plan in place on a Victoria's Secret card for one reason or another a payment declined and rather than take the matter to court (only owe $164) they set up a new arrangement with me Mr. Green was very professional and kind
- Gunnar replies to AnonymousYou are one clueless Shill! In case you haven't noticed...your fraud-shop HAS BEEN EXPOSED HERE! Now run along. You're wasting our time & yours.
Skeff Ett Liv!

- MeThey called my cell number from a restricted number and left a message. The message said they are calling about my car claim inquiry. When I call back it is some woman with a TV on in the background and she is trying to sell me extended warranty for my vehicle. I explain that I already have an extended warranty and that I am on the do no call list. She said that there is not a do not call list for all companies and that she is allowed to call me. She kept interrupting me and wouldn't shut up to let me tell her to remove me from her call list. She told me that I needed to be quiet and listen to her. I told her to shut her damn mouth and listen. She still wouldn't and I hung up. I am at work and this is harassment for sure.
